Caught a nail in one of my tires and did some quick market research in the area and realized that Midas off Whyte had the best service and prices going in the area. Top shelf service.

Midas in Avon, IN charges for a diagnostic. Not a minimal either. $120 plus $5 for shop supplies. I was trying to figure out what was throwing an EVAP code and I knew it was not the gas cap. I thought the purge valve, but wanted to confirm. They told me both the purge the vent solenoid were BOTH bad. They did not diagnose it, they just threw the only 2 parts left on the quote for a paltry $720. Took it to Belle Tire and they said it was the purge and to fix it was $244, FOR FREE. Midas is a joke and I will never go back.

Had a brake smell coming from a rear brake and it ended up being a pad that was sticking due to rust. I knew my brakes were low, so the estimate to replace rotors and pads was reasonable, they proceeded with the job. Several days later, a bolt broke while we coming to a stop, the caliber dropped and stoped the car. we knew there was a problem and drove the car off the busy street into a mall and determined the cause of the problem. Called CAA & Midas. At Midas, they took the car in and replaced the caliber immediately and had the car back on the road. Apologized for the inconvenience, no discussion, no negotiation and sent us on our way with no cost to us. Have to give a 5 star rating to the staff as they were concerned and more than willing to make it right. As a result, I found a shop I can trust and will be there when I need service on any of my cars. Thank you Mike!!!!

Top ervaring bij Midas Sint-Niklaas. Werken werden goed uitgevoerd op dezelfde dag en ik ben perfect door de keuring geraakt. Service 10/10 door de twee vriendelijke mannen achter de balie die me zelf een koffie aanboden. Midas Sint-Niklaas is de place to be!!

Had an oil change. A few hours later my oil pressure light came on took it back to them. They charge me for a diagnosis, then told me it my oil pump. OPGEPAST OPLICHTERSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soms moet je doen alsof je achterlijk bent of niet door hebt wat er gebeurd, om te weten dat je belazerd word. Ik heb gebeld met de vraag wat het kost om mijn auto uit te lezen, er word geantwoord 45 euro. Mijn volgende vraag, wanneer zou ik langs kunnen komen. Dat kan morgen al. Ga ik vandaag langs, en mijn auto word uitgelezen. Die jongen die mijn auto heeft uitgelezen, die geeft aan dat er 7 meldingen worden gegeven bij de motor. Hij geeft aan dat het te maken heeft met mijn uitlaat, en gaf aan iets met een sensor. Ik vroeg kost vervangen van een sensor duur, hij geeft aan in de meeste gevallen wel. Maar wat is er precies aan de hand met de auto, ik geef aan dat het soms afslaat bij het afremmen bij een stoplicht als ik met een hoge snelheid reed. Hij vroeg mij als ik onlangs iets gedaan had aan de auto, ik zei ja mijn bougies vervangen en daarna pas problemen met mijn auto voorheen niet. Nu sta ik voor zijn baas, en die vraagt als ik de vorige lezing heb van die garage en ik zeg nee. Me auto was niet uitgelezen, ik heb gewoon de bougies vervangen. Hij zegt ja dan gaat hij helemaal opnieuw moeten starten want hij heeft dat nodig om precies te zien blablabla, dus we gaan opnieuw de bougies moeten vervangen en de bobine ook want die zal waarschijnlijk beschadigd zijn toen. Dat de rapport wat ze hebben van het uitlezen geeft niet aan wat het probleem precies is of waar het precies zit, het is slechts een indicatie. Dus we gaan als eerst beginnen met dat vervangen dat is het eerste dat we moeten doen, en daarna zien we verder. Alsof er op me voorhoofd staat ezel, rapport geeft precies en duidelijk aan waar het probleem zit. Maar deze idioot dacht een domme vrouw die geen verstand heeft, dus ik ga maar misbruik maken. Is ook mijn fout dat die id!oot mij bijna gepakt heeft, want ik moest gewoon zeggen dat ik niets heb gedaan aan mijn auto en het niet weet. En ook uitlezen was 45 euro, maar ik heb 52,79 moeten betalen. En op de factuur staat rekeneenheid uitlaat, lijkt me heel wat anders dan auto uitlezen. Een gewaarschuwd mens telt voor 2, laat je niet belazeren. Ik had echt gedacht dat Midas beter was dan die oplichter garages, maar ze horen er precies bij.

I went to my normal mechanic the next day and found out the upper, lower control arms sway bars were bad and not diagnosis. Midas offered to resurface the rotors at cost to me to solve the grinding problem. I explained the brakes (rotors and pads)were just replaced so no need to resurface. After going to my normal mechanic they showed me the brakes were fine and no oil leak. They did show me how bad the upper, lower control arms sway bars and needed replacing. Explained this was the cause for the noise when coming to a stop. thank you for point out the strut issue they were under warrant. Midas did not live up to my expectations. I would really think twice before going here. There are lots of other mechanics in the area who give honest assessments of issues and concerns. I would give 0 stars if that was an option
