My daughter never loved school so much!! It's not a battle getting her to do school work anylonger.. we are so greatful for miacademy...

My kids have been completing their work without complaint, and I am happy because they are safe with me at home. Win win.

I absolutely love Miacademy! It has a ton of curriculum, and it is customizable to fit each child’s unique learning style. The videos help to hold my kid’s focus, and the practice reinforces the lesson they’re learning. My 8 year old also loves watching the videos created by other students and feeling like a part of the online student community. After just a short time, I decided to get the lifetime subscription for Miacademy for my 3 kids. I’m so excited to watch as the website continues to grow, as Miacademy continuously updates their curriculum.

Everything is multiple choice. I mean EVERYTHING. My kids have to sit there and go through about 12 rounds of the same questions over and over to move on. If your kids have severe ADHD like mine do they may have a hard time with this. I was hoping there'd be more games for them. There's also a lot of work sheets you have to print off. One reason I wanted an online curriculum was so that we wouldn't be using so much paper. We practice handwriting and do our math work on dry erase boards. I will say the science and social studies videos are extremely engaging and they do love them. But for the core ELA and Math that they need, it's definitely lacking. My son has been been stuck on multiplication for 6 months almost. He gets very confused because he is trying to guess which number is the right answer instead of critically thinking. All in all, not bad. You can tack time spent, have control over what they learn, it reports grades for you, etc. My kids aren't enjoying it enough for me to pay $55 a month for their membership though.

We used Miacademy a few years ago. The kids loved it! They loved the motivational set up, the entrepreneurial aspect of the clothing and design shop, and the school newspaper. I loved the flexibility of the schedule and course load. Life threw us a few curveballs but we are reenrolling them starting in the new school year with the lifetime membership, so there will be no other curveballs.

My children for the 1st time ever her excited to do their schoolwork. I have never been more excited to hop on with them and encourage their joy to learn, then with this program. Being able to set up the curriculum and add what I want for extracurricular activities is wonderful. And it's so cool that they allow the parent to reward the children extra gold with certain at home tasks being completed.

We switched from traditional book homeschooling to this. I will neverrr go back. There is so much customization you can do. You can assign full subjects, or specific units in a subject, or even just certain lessons. You can reassign if you feel your child isn't ready to move on, but I feel they review and test them enough to understand the subject, it can be repetitive, but with my kids I feel they need that to make sure they actually understand and didn't just correctly guess. You can set a min. grade % they need to achieve to pass. Its interactive with videos or PDFs you have the option to print out for written work. 1 of my children was so unmotivated with books and doesn't like to sit still for long periods and he can't read, but he's had no problem navigating all the work he needs done that done by himself and sitting there to complete it. I don't know if it's the interactiveness of it, or the constant positive reinforcement, or seeing that he accomplished something each time he gets it right, but he has taken to it like a sponge. The reward system with the gold or badges does keep them engaged and wanting to move forward. Assigning your school year, days you want certain subjects done, and holidays is SO easy. Plus you can print report cards any time, for any time period. I've only had to contact customer service once to change our subscription. They were so friendly and resolved exactly what I needed. There's also the whole other side of the site that unlocks once their work is done. It has games, shops, customizing, their own castle to decorate. You could absolutely use this program as a core program or customize it to be supplemental. I just LOVE this program.

The company answers back quickly and works to resolve any issues. My kids love the program, it is very informative with videos, and interactive learning. My kids also enjoy being able to connect with other kids around the world. I enjoy the ease of the parental portal, and being able to reassign lessons that child may be struggling with. It's been a great overall experience.
