I have been with MetroPCS for about 2 years. After having spotty coverage, I decided to switch to another carrier. I had brought 2 iphones to Metro with their Bring Your Own Phone option. Neither of these phones were purchased from Metro, but upon cancelling our account, we found that both iphones had been locked to Metro. We called customer service repeatedly about getting these 2 phones unlocked, and were told that it would take 5-7 days to get them unlocked. After asking to speak to a supervisor, that number went down to 24-72 hours. Now it has been 72 hours and still both phones are locked to Metro. Upon calling again, the customer service rep said that since we brought our own phones, they should never have been locked to Metro. Then, after speaking to her supervisor, she changed her tune and said that sometimes iphone will lock the phones to Metro, and it's not something that they did. Still, I sit and wait for my phones to be unlocked.

Horrible horrible just flat out…
Horrible horrible just flat out horrible I should have never switched from TMobile. I called Metro PCS to see if they could help me because I needed a few more days to pay my bill and each time they told me that they could only give me 2 48hoir extensions and after that the system wouldn't grant anything else I asked instead of giving me those 2 extensions just give me until the 11th and they said they couldn't do that they continu d to say that my services would have to be suspended for me to get any type of help I can't understand why should it get to that point if I'm coming to you it would be so much more helpful to fix the problem instead of allowing it to get disconnected. I've been with Metro PCS for quit sometime and I disagree with this method period

Customer Service is horrible
Customer Service is horrible, agents very much untrained, and conceded, very difficult to deal with customer service, Tech support issues where escalated to contact in T-Mobile Corporate for correction.
Service is otherwise ok when it works which is most of the time.

BAIT & SWITCH CON ARTISTS
4.3.18 went into MetroPCS at their Maysville Pike - South Zanesville, Ohio 43701 Location for their TV Special. However the 11 different phones which were to be free with a 2 purchase line for $80 a month, they had (1) phone remaining in the entire store at that present time. Was told shipment of new stock is uncertain due to the fact their warehouse was in the middle of changing location in Ohio. We stated, no problem, we'll pay the $80 now & contact us upon receiving the phone in need. Their computer wouldn't accept it because both ID# on phones had to be put in at same time to avoid additional charge of $60, They stated would contact us....We phoned them back on the 6th, 10th, & 13th...Still no shipment in yet. On the 13th, they stated, provide us your contact name & number & we'll call you, apparently was upsetting them for us to call in, I laughed and said, we already provided you, yet had no knowledge of our name in their computer !! We call again on the 19th, at 6:55pm They received phones, were on our way...then lady stated, well you better be like 2 minutes away from us we close at 7pm however the web shows at 8pm told them, she got rude and said 7pm or come tomorrow, she stated takes time to open & set up accounts. Told the Mrs. forget on them we'll go to the Maple Ave. Location in Zanesville, call them & yes had both in question we were needing, told them about other location & they seem like our $80 wasn't good enough for them...THAT'S WHEN IT GOT UGLY.....Maple store stated that promotion ended 4.12.18 ---- Are you kidding me I ask...Your company had (1) phone to offer during this so called "Special Promotion" the entire time, meaning pretty much NO CUSTOMER could have even received this offer....yea..THE OLD BAIT & SWITCH CON......So we didn't drive to Maple location, today 4/20.18 phoned corporate in Dallas, TX spoke to supervisor & he said once were at the South location & they fair to honor this due to their own issues, call me right then & there & he would speak to them. the Store refused to speak to them & stated their independently-owned & they don't answer to PCS in Dallas. So I demanded to speak to the locations OWNER, his name is DEVON Told him about all what happened..He stated "Sorry but I can't provide you these phones now because Dallas wouldn't offer him his rebates now" Yet Dallas told me, they wanted to fix the issue I stated...Devon went on to say, they say this but the 2 phones we picked out were $129 & $149, & he would be out $280 he simply couldn't help me...I laughed & stated 1st of all, the phones won't cost you $280 you cost is wholesale, I have 13+ yrs of management, I know business. If I buy something to sell in my store at a cost of $10 & sell it for $10...I wouldn't be in business too long now would I.....Well, you know what I mean he stated, I'm just a small business owner, & that's where I stopped him, & stated indeed you are & shall remain if this is how you treat consumers.....He would have received his kickbacks from Dallas, he just didn't want to do "Good Business" ---At least this is how I see it......Choose your theory for yourself. In the meantime, I have contact & filed with the Ohio Attorney Generals Office, and writing this review on Facebook, & have other review webpage I can find....

Having issues with customer service
Having issues with my phone and tried calling customer service to talk a live representative and kept getting sent in a loop by the automated system and it hangs up. The online chat isn't any help. It will give the Customer service number and the automated system will hang up or send you a loop asking the same 4 questions. Its stupid to give a number that no one will talk to you. You have to go to the store to get help and if you work on the rigs or out town around plants you basically screwed. Never experienced anything like this with other phone companies.

Called Customer Care to change my plan
Called Customer Care to change my plan. That was done properly. I then requested to change my phone number. I was asked why. If I'm paying to change my number, it's nobody's business but mine. I explained that I was changing it due to nonstop unwanted calls and texts from numbers that I didn't know. Upon hearing my reason, a female service agent said she would apply a courtesy number change free of charge. Of course I was pleased and accepted. When it came time to pay my bill, the charge for changing my number was there and if I didn't pay it then I would have no phone service. That female service agent LIED to my face. Because Customer Care is outsourced to a foreign country, there is NO RECOURSE. I was bold face lied to, "I can go ahead and change your number without charge as a one-time courtesy." Lies! I put my total trust and faith into Metro PCS and was let down in a major way. When you call Customer Care, it's never in the US, it's outsourced, and you get lies.

MetroPCS seriously needs to get it together.
Can't keep an internet connection where I live. According to Metro I should not have any problems. That's all I have. They reset my phone and my service got disconnected. They kept saying it was the phone. It was their service that said that my number was disconnected not my phone. They fixed it after I went on Facebook and explained what happened. I've had to replace a new phone in less then 45 days after getting it, almost replaced this one. I've been with metro since the end of summer. I've spent more hours a day fighting with the service at home than anything else. When it takes hours or over night to down load an app, something is really wrong. I live about 3-4 blocks from downtown. It's not like I live out in the middle of know where. Two hours to watch one episode if family Guy. Really. I went downtown to the middle of all the highest buildings, down loaded two apps in less than 5 seconds. There is a cell tower across the street nothing blocking, cell tower a couple of blocking from here the only thing in-between is houses, a cell tower a couple of blocks in the other direction nothing but houses and small business. If that is not bad enough. Some how right before my bill is due, my bill starts going up for no reason. When I call and question, I get several different reasons why, and as I give my feed back on that reason is not a real reason then they proceed to give me another reason which is not fact. The MetroPCS stores where I live. They are the worst, rude. When my phone was disconnected I went to the closest MetroPCS store. They refused to call customer service and help me get my phone back on. They didn't want to tie up their phone it's for customers that are calling. I'm a customer. What is really going on. Did you know using MetroPCS as browser is unsecure. Only https:// are secure. MetroPCS is http://. I'm starting to think they pull this it's your phone nonsense so I would go buy a new phone. This one is only two months old. When the first phone did this all they would say was it's under warranty. So I called ZTE, they wanted me to mail the phone from California to Texas. I'd be without a phone for roughly 19 days. MetroPCS told me that they would authorize a new phone for me and mail that phone to ZTE in Texas's. Well ZTE new nothing about that at all, they don't do that. So why are customer representatives at MetroPCS telling their customers that ? I could go on for days and days about what I've had to go through since I switched to MetroPCS.
