A dissatisfied C.
The worst example of customer service ever
It all started on January 22nd when I bought a new phone for $270. I dropped my phone and it shattered a week later. "Luckily" I have total protection insurance, or so I thought. I was only mildly annoyed when a week after buying the phone I had to pay $100 for a replacement. Which of course was defective. At this point I just wanted to take my business elsewhere. Of course it would take 14-21 days to get my $100 back and since I was in the middle of job search I couldn't afford to spend days without phone service. As it turns out that was the least of my problems. Metro PCS is not a no contract provider if you happen to purchase a phone from them. There is a 180 day of continuous service REQUIREMENT before you can unlock a new phone. So for 5-6 months you have to pay Metro for phone service even in the event of dissatisfaction with the service you receive. Which in my experience is the real problem. I live in a county in California where the government has mandated a shelter in place stay home order. Which sucks because I don't get good service at my home. Even though I live within a perfectly good coverage area according to their website. Since February 27th I have 50+ screenshots of my lack of internet/network connection. I've called and complained 30+ times. I've been a customer since 2013, I pay for $60 unlimited data and have since 2013. But now I have no real options. Since Metro decided to lie to people about unlimited data access after 35GB of data has been used in a month and being a no contract provider in light of their 180 day policy PLEASE DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. I am stuck in this situation but you don't have to be
