Bots went from up 14k to -30k (4/4/2025)
April 4 - all 3 currency pairs dropped like rocks after Trump's announcement and the bots kept buying and losing, buying and losing. Lost most of the capital. Volatility filter doesn't do anything. Experiment has failed. fxblue.com /users/metahugs1 fxblue.com /users/metahugs2 Feel free to text/call me at 804 five 9 oww sax 276 and share your experience. Original review: I am not going to give this company only 1 star, because Justin has tried to answer all my questions (I'm an engineer at heart and want to understand all the ins and outs of the configuration) and if he couldn't, he got a quant involved (Aaron villegas - the bot designer). So that's been nice to be able to talk more in depth with the designer. I have been running their bots since beginning of May 2024. They told me during the initial conversations that the bot runs on 15m, 5m or 1m timeframe and you can go with shorter timeframes if you want to be more aggressive. So I started using the Metabot on 15m and it wasn't doing anything so I switched it to 5m and it had a 10% drawdown but then quickly made it back. I let it run the full 21 days as required but decided I wanted the refund and do something else with my $15k fee. But Justin said because I changed the setting myself I had self-sabotaged my account and they denied my refund. He said that the 15m/5m/1m was just an analogy and the configuration was supposed to be done elsewhere. So lesson learned, don't touch anything during the trial period. I don't know if they'd still find another reason to deny your refund since there's no online member forum where I can talk to the supposed other 2500 clients. Since that time, Justin and I have had in depth conversations about how to setup the bot(s) to be more aggressive. I agreed that I was OK with having larger drawdowns but I wanted to force it to use larger lot sizes on a 50K account. My thinking is if the bots have a good strategy then it shouldn't matter if it's using larger lot sizes, the strategy should generate larger returns. I started with a 50k single account but then I split it between 2 accounts evenly (lookup metahugs1 and metahugs2 on fxblue). During most of June and July they were making very tiny gains, like the accounts were up maybe 1.7% total. Then they had a couple days of winning and got up maybe 3.5% combined. But then they lost those gains and I'm back underwater. It's like they're ok at winning small and good at losing big. When the currency pairs stay in a tight range bouncing around they do ok but if it starts trending for a while up or down they keep betting on a mean reversion and lose big. And with the 3 pairs highly correlated (2 out of the 3 share the same country - AUDCAD, AUDNZD, NZDCAD) then anything that country does affects 2/3 of the pairs similarly. I wish they would trade 3 completely unrelated pairs! They have a few different bots to offer. Metabot, neurobot, metamax, neuromax, and smooth sailing. I was told that the max versions are martingale strategy. The smooth sailing bot has been doing okay so far (metahugs1). I am glad that they haven't blown up my accounts like some other companies bots have done to others (quantum bots Kong, Nurp fed bot). But in short, be careful - don't touch your account during the trial so that you won't jeopardize your refund-ability. I'm interested in hearing others' experience since there is no online member forum like others have stated. Feel free to text me at 804 five 9 oww six 276 and share your experience, and follow along on my FXblue accounts, metahugs1 and metahugs2. I have a hard time believing these other 5* reviews talking about major gains are legit, given my experience.

Hello David, This is Justin. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences. It's clear that you're deeply invested in understanding how our bots work, and I respect that. However, I do need to clarify a few points. The drawdown you experienced wasn't due to the algorithm itself, but rather to the manual adjustments you made based on the PDF handbook we provided. While we encourage clients to learn and understand the system, it's crucial to follow our recommended settings, especially during the 21-day trial period. This initial period is meant to incubate the algorithm in a controlled environment to allow it to operate as designed. When changes are made, particularly without consulting our team, it can lead to disruptions in performance, as we saw in your case. Tinkering with various aspects of the VPS and altering bot settings, especially early on, resets the algorithm's learning period. This disrupts the long-term strategy we've developed, which is designed to deliver consistent results over time. When the bot is allowed to run uninterrupted, it can adapt to market conditions and execute its strategy effectively. Constant changes, however, prevent it from building the necessary data history and stability. Regarding the currency pairs we trade—AUDCAD, AUDNZD, and NZDCAD—we focus on these because we've collected the most data on them over many years. This data is key to our strategy, and it provides the bot with a significant edge. Algorithms that don't have this level of data and expertise might trade any chart available, but they lack the precision and attunement to pair-specific indicators that our system has. This is why we stick to these pairs; they're not just random choices but the result of years of analysis and optimization. I do understand your concerns about the refund. However, it wouldn't be fair to process a return when the bot's performance was impacted by changes that weren't in line with our guidelines. The terms we set for the trial period are there to protect both the integrity of the system and the experience for all our clients. Aaron and myself are still here to help you optimize your setup going forward, and I’m confident that with the right approach, you can see the results you're looking for. If you have any further questions or want to dive deeper into the strategy, feel free to reach out. Best, Justin
