i would not recommend this warranty administration to anyone they specialize in making peoples life's hell my car has been under warranty for awhile now and just recently came across a problem with my vehicle they have done nothing but giving me the run around about a full non exist report to not have to pay for repairs if they were dedicated to there customers i feel like they would have sent someone out to were my car is being serviced and got everything they would've need to process my claim i am completely unhappy and dissatisfy with the customer service who's name Steven they are very rude and don't care about their customer or how hard it maybe without a car

Okay so I received a pink slip in the mail regarding my “no lapse in warranty coverage” I just got my car less than a month ago. Great condition but used. So when I seen the pink slip I thought omg I have a warranty my car is a 2010 let me hop on that. I give the number a call on the slip and I spoke to a person by the name of Austin he asked me for the mileage on my car then stated he'd have to see if my car can be covered by a manager. He came back to the phone and said my car can only be covered for 4 years and that I’d need to pay 179 for 18 months and my car will be cover and I’ll need to pay the deductible of 100 and I can get my car fixed. The deal sounded good but it got fishy when I said I’ll do some research and get back to him definitely was rude and pushy stating “I have already gone over the Policy with you what else do you need to know” 5 minute call turned in to a 40 minute call because everytime I stated that I’d give a call back after I do research he insisted that he’d stay on the phone and wait. I went to there website and he said the company has been around for 5 years and on the site they had a Facebook, X(twitter), and Instagram and I didn’t not see customer engagement on none of them. He then tells me it’s “only 25 dollars to start then you’d need to pay the reset by the 21st.” “ if you don’t get the coverage know than I’ll have to decline it because your car might be broke down when you realize this was a good deal” I was taken back by that statement because I had already informed him that I’d call back after I do research he did not want to get me off the phone until I made a payment. So finally stumbled across these reviews and I read the negatives ones first and I realized that I was almost bamboozled please please beware definitely think being too pushy Is a red flag. I Also asked if the previous car owner had this warranty or how on earth did they find my info. He couldn’t give me a clear response.

Company is riddled with rude employees and scam artists. The booklet you get when you start your policy is full of loopholes and jargon. A good example would be how they covered $100 dollars of a tow charge but then a paragraph down, they contradict themselves saying they cover 25 miles of a tow with no expense to the driver. I’ve been denied multiple claims and when I finally decided to cancel. I was called rude for not taking the “offers” provided for me to extend my plan. To anyone that sees this, DONT GET MERIT. It’s not worth the headache you get and extra money you lose. Now I have to talk lawyers because of this Company Note: Merit Administration is not credited by the BBB ( Better Business Bureau) You know what’s odd, look at all the 5 star reviews. Kinda odd they all happen in a span of a month and they all have nothing but the best things to say about Merit. DOESNT THAT SEEM SUSPICIOUS?

WHEEW! Looks like I just saved myself money and a heap of anger. I’m suspicious of all callers and even people I dial out if it’s a letter coming from mail- the letters they sent me were set up to look like they came from the DMV/MVD which was the first red flag because of you aren’t trying to scam me why make up false expectations JUST TO GET ME ON THE PHONE AND PITCH THOSE OUTBOUND CALLS TO ME. When he answered first thing I wanted to establish was WHO I was talking with is he dmv or not and he admitted he was with a company called merit and then said my “factory warranty” had ended and this so called “coverage was going to fully end if I didn’t renew in 5 days” yet he couldn’t tell me when it ended….mmmmhuh,sure buddy. But I’ll admit it sounds fkin great for someone who takes pride in their car…and wants it to run well ya ALMOST had me, but then I took a moment to just google them while he was on speaker because those false flags they sent via mail just called it out to me and we’ll waddaya know?! BOOM The BBB says 1 star and more than 3 bad reviews on here and the rest sound like a bunch of bot reviews. He admitted it was a sales pitch at the end when I said “ let me do research because the fact you try to play off like this is something urgent by mail only to get me on the phone sounds like a scam/sales call” I’ve been in sales calls so I can call it out thankfully. DONT BUY IT PPL ALWAYS ALWAYS ALLLLWAAYSS BE SUSPICIOUS ABOUT ANY NUMBERS REGARDLESS OF WHERHER UR CALLING THEM OR THEYRE CALLING YOU UNLESS THEYRE FAMILY/FRIENDS OR YOU CAN GUARANTEE THE NUMBER WITH A FULLY LEGITAMITE WEBSITE/REVIEWS (AND DOO READ THEM SEE IF YOU CAN FIND PATTERNS IN THE “good” REVIEWS AND IF THE BAD REVIEWS ARE SIMILAR YOU SHOULD KNOW RIGHT AWAY WHAT UR DEALING WITH) AND PEOPLE PLEEEEASSE DONT BE AFRAID TO TELL WHOEVER UR SPEAKING WITH TO GIVE YOU A MOMENT SO YOU CAN GOOGLE THE PHONE NUMBER REVERSE NUMBER SEARCH,WEBSITES WHATEVER IT TAKES. DONT LETTEM PUSH YOU THEYLL TRY TO TELL YOU THINGS LIKE IF YOU SIGN UP RN ILL GIVE YOU MINEY OFF THEYLL TELL U WHATEVER U WANT TO HEAR JUST TO GET THAT COMMISSION.

I have NEVER been treated so rudely as I have by the only 2 people that they let handle the customers that want to cancel their warranty. If they are that driven not to refund ANY part of a warranty I purchased 6 months ago. It is obvious on how paying a claim would go. If I hadn't recorded how they handled me all 4 times I called, some people wouldn't believe me. I have never taken the time to report poor service, but this company is so bad that I should face blame if I didn't attempt to warm the public. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. I GUARANTEE IT WILL END POORLY.

Worst all around experience ever with pushy sales people and terribly rude customer service. They were mean on the phone told me that I would have to hold extra if I wanted to cancel. Took forever. Amazingly poor!

I took my car in to get the air conditioner fixed. My mechanic called Merit and did the work but Merit would not accept it. I have paid $159 per month for the past year. This was the first time I used their service. Now I gong to have to pay over $1000 to my mechanic!
