I do not recommend using this service. They are just like all the other ones and that they will give you a low price upfront only to find out that the people actually doing the work will charge you a great deal more. The frustrating part is they will not answer emails or answer voicemails Because they know they suck at what they do. I gave them pictures of my storage unit and we went over briefly of the furniture and they still lowball me and left me hanging when it was time for me to deal with the actual moving company. I do not recommend these people to move a dead cat.

Menards Moving is a very dishonest, unprofessional company. They charged me for items that they were unprepared and unable to move...

The CEO asked us to REMOVE our Review
The CEO asked us to REMOVE our Review
Update: The Owner of the company, Menard himself, called us on Sunday (7/6) asking us to remove our review and that if we did, he’ll work on making sure we get our stuff sooner than later. He said, “I make S*** happen, I’m the owner of the company.” He then promises, after talking to the moving company, that our stuff will be delivered by Wednesday (7/9) without a shadow of a doubt. Here we are Wednesday night and not even a call from the moving company or him. I called him and he now tells me it will be delivered Thursday or Friday! DO NOT TRUST this company. They DO NOT keep their WORD. Since he couldn’t hold his end of the deal, my Review is going back up, below is what I wrote before.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is a scam. They picked up my furniture at the end of May and promised delivery by the first week of June. It's now JULY, and I still don't have my belongings. Every time we call, they give a different excuse or avoid answering altogether. They are LIARS.
We trusted the process in good faith and have been met with nothing but dishonesty, the run-around, stress, and delay.
BELIEVE the 1-star reviews — they're ALL TRUE.
The 5-star reviews are fake or paid for, this is the worst moving company we've ever encountered. They are unprofessional, unethical, and should not be allowed to operate.
I'm taking legal action, filing complaints with the FMCSA and BBB, and I strongly encourage others to do the same. Save yourself the nightmare.
And before you respond with "we're just a broker," save it. If you're the broker, you're responsible for who you hire. If you choose to work with shady carriers, that’s because YOU are a shady broker. That's on you. You don't get to take the money and wash your hands of the rest. Own it.
PLEASE, save yourself the trouble and Do NOT hire Menards Moving & Storage or Blue Diamond Movers. You will regret it.

My recent interstate move with Menards Moving and Storage, which unexpectedly involved Good View Moving and Storage, was an absolute catastrophe from start to finish. What began with assurances of a professional, direct carrier service quickly devolved into a stressful ordeal marked by incompetence, deceptive practices, and severe damage to my property.
Initial Contract (Menards Moving and Storage): In February 2025, I contracted Menards Moving and Storage after speaking with Philip Hightower, who explicitly assured me they were a carrier, not a broker. My deposit of $1924 was paid for an estimated 1400 cubic feet at $2.25/cubic foot, totaling an estimate of $5996.67. This initial assurance was the first of many deceptions.
Move Day - May 30/31, 2025 (Menards Moving and Storage): The moving day was a complete disaster, demonstrating a shocking lack of preparation and professionalism:
* Understaffed and Late: The foreman, Alex, arrived late on May 30th with only one helper for my 3200 sq ft home. He was forced to scramble and call local helpers the next morning.
* No Supplies: Alex arrived without sufficient boxes, garment boxes, or proper packing materials. He resorted to using 55-gallon trash bags found in my basement, bizarrely claiming it was for "reserve space," despite me paying for adequate packing.
* Gross Negligence - No Inventory or Labeling: In a severe violation of basic moving standards and consumer protection, Alex failed to create any inventory of my belongings or label a single box. This oversight made tracking items impossible and contributed significantly to later losses.
* Truck Capacity Miscalculation: A single 26-foot truck was loaded, but it only accommodated approximately 75% of my belongings. A second 26-foot truck was required, yet I was then informed only half of that truck would be needed, indicating a massive and costly miscalculation on their part.
* Predatory Payment Demands: Late on a Saturday evening, Alex demanded immediate payment in cash, Zelle, or postal money order. When I couldn't produce these on the spot, he simply took my belongings and left, holding my property hostage.
Change of Carrier and Goods Held Hostage (Good View Moving and Storage): After the departure of Menards' crew, I was forced to pay the remaining balance via wire transfer to a company I never hired or approved: Good View Moving and Storage. This unauthorized transfer of my goods to an entirely different carrier, without my knowledge or consent, is unacceptable and likely illegal. My furniture was subsequently transported to Wisconsin and held for nearly two weeks in storage, again without my knowledge or consent, despite a 21-day delivery window mentioned in a contract I was not properly informed about.
Communication and Service (Good View Moving and Storage): My attempts to get information about my belongings were met with constant runarounds, rude customer service representatives, and repeated hung-up calls. My number was even blocked at one point. The only point of contact who showed any semblance of professionalism was Wyatt, a customer service supervisor. This level of disrespect and evasion is appalling.
Delivery and Damages - June 20, 2025 (Good View Moving and Storage): Upon the eventual delivery on June 20, 2025, I discovered thousands of dollars in damage to irreplaceable items and numerous missing goods. The lack of inventory on the pickup end made it nearly impossible to prove what was missing, a direct consequence of Menards' negligence. To add insult to injury, the movers were observed drinking alcohol while on the job, a clear indicator of their overall unprofessionalism and a stark contrast to my 20 years of experience with professional military moves.
Conclusion: This entire experience was a nightmare. Both Menards Moving and Storage and Good View Moving and Storage are responsible for a service that was unprofessional, deceptive, and resulted in significant financial loss and emotional distress. I strongly advise anyone considering these companies to look elsewhere. Save yourself the stress, the damage, and the feeling of being taken advantage of.
I have already filed formal complaints with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for both companies, and the Attorney General's offices in both the departure and destination states.

A Scam
They lure you with a low quote and you are stuck paying more when the moving team comes. I told the saleswoman exactly what we had to move, she assured me that their movers are experts, there won't be any problem. She quoted me a low price. That was the only reason I went with this company. I should have read reviews before hiring them. I had to pay up 1/3 of the entire moving cost upon signing a contract to get this move, and it is non-refundable unless I cancel 72 hours in advance. Then, when the moving staff showed up, they upcharged me $500, said the quote she gave me was for general moving, not for what we had. That was a lie! The salesperson understood exactly what we had to move. I couldn't cancel at this time because I would lose the deposit ($500) and get no service. Never again! Next time I would rather pay 3x the price for a reputable company than this company.

Started off in the right direction
Started off in the right direction but went south after picking up from our home. Very poor communication after taking the deposit. Lost 2 computer screens, my wife's clothes and jewelry cabinet severally damaged! The quoted price didn't come out close to the actual.

Do NOT hire Menards
I would strongly recommend against hiring Menards moving. Their salesman do not know their jobs I was misquoted and the company would not stand behind the quote. Go with someone else and avoid menards!
