We had medmart install a stairlift…
We had medmart install a stairlift February of 2025. I call Medmart on April 25, 2026 saying the chair had stopped working. They told me they could not come out until 5/8/26. When they did come out they said the battery was bad and charged me $388.64 for a new battery and labor. I called the office and asked why I would be charged so much when the unit and original battery were only 16 months old. They said batteries were not covered after 6 months and there was nothing they could do. I asked how long a battery normally lasts snd was told 2-5 years. I would think as good customer service they could have reduced the price given the unit was not that old. I would definitely take this into consideration if you are thinking of buying any equipment from this company. I will also be following up with a BBB complaint and post my experience on Facebook to make new customers aware of med marts policy .

I am sorry for your dissatisfaction. We stand behind the manufacturers warranty of the products we sell. After 16 months of the unit being in use, batteries are not a warrantied item and labor is never covered under warranty after that length of time. We understand how important the products we sell are and strive for customer satisfaction on every order and repair. However, we are not able to provide free labor and parts after 16 months of use. We appreciate your feedback.
