Only seniors that are on Medicaid or SNAP!
Super that they offer senior discount...haha! They have a picture of senior citizens dining and drinking wine. Read the fine print and find that you have to be on Medicaid or SNAP to qualify.

Six years with the only option we have, Mediacom, has been miserable. We ditched the TV service in favor of YouTube TV as their service was always spotty. Service is terrible. Technicians have little training as to how to deal with customers and finish the job in a second rate fashion, not testing it properly. Wait times are horrendous. A hurry up and wait attitude. We can’t wait for another internet option and will jump as soon as one arrives.

I believe I have the right company now, and I was raising my review when I learned I reviewed the wrong company. Despite many other things, the biggest problem I have is that my cable, as of today, has been out for 10 days and I'm still waiting for a technician. I don't believe I have to say more. If you are making your customers who pay your salary wait this long, something is very wrong. I have decided to take this a tad bit further too, but my recommendation again is no; shop around make sure you know who you are choosing.

This is the worse cable company on the planet. Down time is all the time. Picture freezes, drops signal and times out all the time. If you can get a choice of cable companies in your area stay away from Mediacom. Streaming with Verizon would be my bet

You can't have a remote job if you have Mediacom internet. Good luck explaining to your boss that the internet goes out on a daily basis!! They try to claim noise on the line, bad outside cable, etc. If that were true, why would the entire neighborhood go out? There is no alternative in the town where I live. Some fiber optic cables from AT&T are coming, but I live in the country so it will be years before they bother coming out here. I am stuck with this horrible internet that JD Power rated as worst for many years in a row.

I am filing this complaint due to misleading information, poor communication, and delays regarding a refund for internet service equipment. I was initially told that true fiber-to-the-home internet service was available and would be installed at my residence. However, I was sent a cable modem instead of fiber equipment. Because I understand the difference between cable internet and fiber-to-the-home service, I contacted customer support before the installation appointment to confirm the correct service was being installed. During that call, I was reassured multiple times that fiber-to-the-home service would be installed and that the technician would arrive with the proper equipment. When the technician arrived the following day, he informed me that he did not perform fiber-to-the-home installations and did not have the ability to install the service I had been promised. Based on that information, I immediately canceled the installation. I was then told I would need to return the equipment before the refund process could begin. I returned the equipment within approximately one hour of cancellation. After returning the equipment, I was told the refund would be processed within 48 hours. It has now been over 96 hours, and after contacting customer service again, I was given conflicting information and told the refund would take an additional 3–4 days, with representatives stating there was nothing they could do to expedite the matter. My concerns are: - Misrepresentation of the type of internet service being offered - Inaccurate information provided by customer support - Poor coordination between customer service and field technicians - Delayed refund processing despite immediate equipment return

Product was not sent to mailing address(where the bill goes). As result it was left outside in unsecured location and (surprise!) was gone by the time I saw usps tracking. Now waiting on customer service with AI "molli" who keeps spitting platitudes and doing nothing while waiting on human. This is without the frequent streaming interruptions.
