I stayed at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Denver at Anschutz Medical Campus hotel in July 2026. I had booked a single room at a rate of $150 for the night. They charged me $256 for the room and then claimed that I cancelled a room and charged me $262 for that "cancelled" room as well. I have attempted multiple times to get this resolved, but they claim their fraudulent charge is "valid". Every time a call the hotel the manager is mysteriously "... not available today". They never call back. Avoid the Marriott chain if you value your money.

Marriott Corporate Refuses to Hold…
Marriott Corporate Refuses to Hold Deceptive Franchises Accountable
Marriott Customer Care refuses to enforce basic brand standards, leaving guests at the mercy of rogue franchise management. The SpringHill Suites Phoenix Glendale/Peoria left a note in my room requiring 11 AM checkout for multi-day Wi-Fi outages, but delivered the note while I was out (I left around 9:30 AM), so it wasn't seen until 6 PM. Enforcing an expired deadline delivered after the cutoff is impossible.
When I checked out at 6 PM to work elsewhere, front desk staff threatened to retroactively raise my prior room rates, and AGM Eric Palasios refused to refund the unused night, admitting in writing it was solely for missing the 11 AM cutoff. Marriott Customer Care's response? Closing the case and claiming they can't handle refunds because property management gets the final say. Allowing the person who committed the defect to act as the sole judge is ridiculous. Had to file an American Express dispute to get my money back.

Severe Security Breach & Total Lack of Corporate Accountability
My family and I stayed at the St. Regis Cap Cana for a hosted corporate event, expecting the high standard of safety and service associated with a luxury brand. Instead, we experienced a severe security failure that resulted in the theft of a high-value personal item (a wedding ring valued at $11,265.58) from our room.
While my family was away attending an official hotel-hosted event, a major breakdown in room chain-of-custody occurred. The property's subsequent investigation confirmed that six different unmonitored hotel staff members were granted access to our room during that window. While the staff on the ground initially acknowledged the legitimacy of the theft, both the resort’s insurer (AIG) and Marriott Corporate ultimately used standard liability loopholes to deny the claim, stating that because the employees denied the theft and the item was not in the room safe, they carry no legal liability.
As a Lifetime Platinum Elite member who has spent years investing significant personal and commercial revenue into the Marriott portfolio, the corporate response has been deeply troubling. Marriott's Corporate Office of Consumer Affairs completely deflected accountability, stating they cannot intervene over their third-party insurer’s legal technicalities and have closed the matter.
A premium luxury brand should be defined by guest safety and brand integrity, not boilerplate liability evasion. Because of this complete lack of corporate accountability, I am separating my personal business from the Marriott portfolio, and as an executive, I will no longer recommend or endorse their brands for the corporate events, room blocks, or travel planning under my influence.
If you value your personal property, security, or a brand that stands behind its loyalty promises, look elsewhere in Punta Cana.

I have beeCorporate refuses to handle extreme manager misconduct and retaliationn a patron of Marriott…
I have been a patron of Marriott properties for years, but a recent experience exposed a shocking lack of corporate oversight and customer care. After cutting a stay short at a local property due to a total lack of basic housekeeping, the hotel proactively issued partial refunds. I accepted these gestures but never once requested any financial compensation; I simply wanted to voice my displeasure with the room's cleanliness.
My business should have been concluded there, but after I completed an official, balanced post-stay guest survey, the property manager launched an aggressive email campaign against me. He was furious about the feedback and crossed severe boundaries by insulting my public-facing medical career. When I escalated the issue, he retaliated by fabricating a malicious narrative to corporate claiming I was "aggressive" with staff to justify banning me from the brand.
When I brought this blatant retaliation and character defamation to Marriott Corporate, they were completely dismissive, offering zero accountability or support. Marriott allows local management to weaponize guest surveys and retaliate against honest feedback without consequence. I will be taking my business to hotel brands that actually value guest safety and professional standards.

To say the Marriott Biscayne Bay has…
To say the Marriott Biscayne Bay has had a multi million $ refurbishment it’s questionable. We had a Bay View room on 17th floor and found out no Wi-Fi, reception expected myself as a guest had to try ke shoot. I had to ask for a possible room change which the hotel were none too pleased about. In the process I lost cell phone charging cables.
The whole thing for reception seemed too much trouble.
We were offered no apologies.
Wouid we ever stay at the hotel again, not a chance in hell.
What a great start to a vacation from the UK
It is time the staff were trained in customer service

sinceramente frustrante
