Please read the fine print on ANY "specials" they offer. Opened a Savings account in January, 2026. With a certain amount they offer a "bonus". In the very fine print it does say that if you reduce your balance - the bonus isn't paid. Here is the most unusual- they actually "look back" before you even open the savings account - and if your balance was reduced at any time during the "offer period" then the bonus isn't paid out. Never heard of such a cazy thing. That said I will be closing ALL my accounts. Buyer beware. Normal transactions haven't been an issue. They lost a customer over this ridiculous fine print - and they won't make any exceptions.

Beware - CD product
Pro: the CD rate was the highest available. They had good reviews on Bankrate. Guess what? Bankrate reviews are not from customers- they're editor reviews.
Con: they made their CDs automatically renew unless you jump through hoops to stop their process. I made the attempt and their online tool to stop autorenew was broken. I contacted chat support. We went through a process that included me giving my bank information to transfer the funds to me when the CD matured. I received confirmation that it was setup, so I left the screen and went back to work. After the CD matured I received an email saying congratulations on your renewal. Wait..what! Contacted support and could show them the confirmation. They said they needed a second confirmation/consent and I did not respond.
They offered no solution, no compromise. I've reported them. STAY AWAY.

Tricky deposit award wording
Deposited the required $100,000 which provided a balance of about $102,000 which would qualify me for the $1,500 award. I then maintained a $100,000 + balance thru the required period. Was informed i only qualified for the $750 amount as I transfered $750 of the original $100,000 deposit.
VERY TRICKY on your part!!!

Absolutely atrocious when your CD…
Absolutely atrocious when your CD matures. Placed 6 phone calls trying to get my own $$ back. Just wanted it transferred back to the same originating linked account where the funds initially came from, plus the same account where they were depositing interest once per month. They couldn't handle this simple task. ACH was late by a day to even be initiated, then for some reason unknown to me and apparently unknown to them, it was reversed. Am now attempting to get them to wire my money back. Have been a client of theirs for years, but never again after this experience. Stay away, not worth the extra yield to deal with their incompetence.

Marcus - Endless Calls, Broken Promises, Zero Accountability
Further to my review from April 14th, the terrible experience with Goldman Sachs Marcus continues.
After my original review, I received a call from Marcus, and the associate assured me they would resolve the issue and reinstate my CD correctly. It took them nearly THREE WEEKS to act on it, and the CD was finally reinstated last week.
Unbelievably, the reinstated CD still has the exact same issue as before.
Since then, it has been the same cycle all over again: endless calls, excessive hold times, repeated explanations, and absolutely no resolution. I was promised the issue would be fixed with their “backend team” by May 7th. Nothing happened. No follow-up. No accountability.
I just got off another call a few minutes ago, and the supervisor was shockingly rude, constantly talking over me, refusing to listen, and showing zero interest in resolving the problem. At this point, it genuinely feels like customer service at Marcus is designed to exhaust customers into giving up.
This has been one of the worst banking experiences I have ever had:
- Repeated operational mistakes
- No ownership of issues
- Broken promises
- Endless wait times
- Rude and dismissive supervisors
- No meaningful customer recourse
For a bank that markets itself as premium and customer-focused, the reality has been the complete opposite.
Stay away from this bank. There are far better and more competent options out there.

Scam
Trying to make an account I had to call a foreign helpline. They wouldn't connect my bank which is Sofi and then less than 48 hours later they closed my account with no reason. This feels like an actual scam.

Tried to open account called they have zero knowledge and do care, which means my money is no good with them.
