Their failure…
Their failure to send an email to renew my password is unacceptable. I’ve tried multiple times on separate days. This same thing happened years ago. They need to fix this.

I used the referral bonus link to open a savings account for an elderly relative after opening mine for the $1500 bonus if 100K remained on deposit for 3 months. He did not get the $1500 bonus following the same approach. Marcus claims I didn't set the account up properly (using correct links, promo codes, etc.) Thing is, I didn't use any special links or promo codes when setting my account up and it paid the $1500 bonus. When using the referral link, you'd think the $1500 promo would somehow be applied or attached since that was the whole reason for opening the account. Apparently this is not the only instance with numerous reports of this happening when doing a search of reviews. Buyer beware. You can be sure I and many others will never do business again with Marcus Bank.

They sent out a big promotion but apparently you needed to do some hard to find step. Customer service basically said I didn't do the step 3 months ago so no bonus. Add that to very severe early termination rates on CDs and it makes for a very annoying site. They have good rates but the hassle is not worth it.

I signed up for a new high-yield savings account in January with Marcus when I read their promotional ad that if I deposited $50,000 in a newly opened savings account and left it in the account for 90 days, I would receive a cash bonus of $750..... I did everything that was asked and even added ANOTHER $53,000 during the course of the 90-day period (when one of my CDs matured), and I still received NOTHING after the 90-day period !!! I chatted with two representatives to ask why I hadn't received the bonus yet, and they both stated that when I opened the account, I should have "pushed the button" that stated I was interested in the promotion......EXTREMELY MISLEADING AS I NEVER SAW ANYTHING WHEN I SIGNED UP FOR THE SAVINGS ACCOUNT !!! Shame on you Marcus!!!!!,,,,,,I should sue you for fraudulent and misleading promo offers!!!! I had recently provided your information to my sister to have her open an account as well, and I just told her of what a SCAM Marcus is doing to their customers !!! I have two CDs AND a high-yield savings account with Marcus, and they will BOTH be promptly closed and I will NEVER USE MARCUS AGAIN !!!!! Unbelievable !!!!!!! DO NOT TRUST MARCUS WITH ANY OF YOUR FUNDS !!!!!!!

My husband opened a Marcus savings account specifically because of their advertised cash bonus promotion. He deposited the required amount within the stated promotional period and fully expected to qualify for the bonus. After waiting, he was informed that his account was somehow not enrolled in the promotion, despite meeting the deposit amount and timing requirements. When I contacted customer service, I found the experience extremely disappointing. Rather than working toward a reasonable resolution, representatives simply stated that the account was not enrolled and refused to honor the bonus. The most frustrating part is that he acted in good faith based on the promotion and met what I understood to be the key requirements. A customer-focused company would review the circumstances and make an effort to resolve the issue fairly. Instead, we felt dismissed and unsupported. If you’re considering Marcus for a promotional offer, I would strongly recommend keeping detailed records of every step and obtaining written confirmation that your account is enrolled before transferring funds. My experience has left me disappointed both with the handling of the promotion and with the overall customer service.

Goldman Sachs IS A SCAM!! Why does anyone trust these people? They took my $45k and now my account is locked. How can they just sleep at night? I tried to withdraw for my home but they keep saying pending pending pending. Its all a lie. Who even runs this site? Monsters. I was crying for three days straight because the support chat just ignores me or gives me bot answers. Why is the internet like this?! thought I lost everything. I had no choice but to use TawnyS wift Trust and actually got my crypto back into my wallet. It worked but the wait was pure torture. Dont go to Goldman Sachs they are frauds and will ruin your life. Absolute trash site.

Can’t get my money when I needed it. Requested transfer. After a week, over 50k missing. Called had the right routing and account numbers, but blamed my bank. Never had a problem with my bank, but read reviews where this is an issue. Ridiculous!

A broker pretending to be a bank. I've had accounts at Marcus for 6 years, including Savings and CDs. Everything was fine for the first few years when they offered a competitive interest rate. Those days are gone. Now the best you can do is 3.40% when others are paying 4.20%. The final straw for me was when they dropped Quicken access earlier this year to save a few shekels. I have no use for a "bank" that doesn't allow me to connect to my accounts with personal finance software. When I asked to close my accounts, I got major blowback with questions like "why are you doing this" and "what are you going to do with the money". After two weeks of begging, they continue to refuse to close my accounts.
