The Replicator 2 4th. gen. is problematic after 3000 use hours. Not a big surprise, but replacing parts can be frustrating. Many issues with consistent filament feed, temperature hold. MakerBot brand filament supply chain lead time is awful. In addition to higher cost comparatively to other PLA filaments, the additional fulfillment time frame is incredibly frustrating. Brick and mortar retailers with your filament would be much better. Waiting 8-9 days for typical lead is horrible. The more rapid shipping options are not viable. Moving on to Prusa or TAZ 6.

I purchased the MakerBot Replica Mini+ for my school library. The MakerBot company was easy to order from and their sales representative was very helpful through the whole process. The 3D printer itself has been an awesome addition to the school. Easy to set up and use. Helpful troubleshooting guide on the MakerBot website. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

I went to your website yesterday to download and install the latest desktop software. The previous software worked well and was intuitive. The new desktop software is NOT intuitive, I have not figured out how to see the build space, how to add a file to the build space, and I am not sure that it outputs "thing" files that I can print. And, of course, there is no phone number to call so I can talk this through with a real person who could help me find answers quickly. Not happy.

Staff are always very courteous when contacted. Service is quick.

I have had nothing but small problems with my printer. And the fact I have to contact makerbot to work through all of them is horrible. I know it’s a Mac thing but having to set up my prints in safe mode is super lame. The printer when it works is great it’s all the other stuff that makes it a chore to use. ( I’d even be ok with it being a bit more diy)

The machine will not home and the smart extruder always jams

I love our Makerbots! We have tried a few other brands, but Makerbot has been the best option for us. They are the simplest 3D printers to use. Right out of the box I didn't need to modify anything and it ran perfectly. They are also incredible reliable. The prints always come out the way they were meant to be, with an excellent quality. The tough PLA they use is amazing quality and high strength. Overall I would very highly recommend a Makerbot to anyone who wants to get into the world of 3D Printing.
