See above....I cannot say much more than that. It is a place where you can relax for a nice meal and be treated royally. You can't get much better than that.

You are a mixed bag on a number of levels. The loss of the birthday dining credit was a huge disappointment. As far as gaming, I still seem to do better there than anywhere else. Parking is a disaster! The Lounge is great! The e-scratch offs are sad and small. The quality of the gifts is excellent. A mixed bag.

A handful of friendly employees made the experience better but the overall feel was a typical casino...doesn't stand out from the rest. Offers are poor and keep declining despite increasing losses from each visit. Only the steakhouse has edible food that doesn't make your body suffer after you eat it. Cleanliness and air quality are below average and the casino floor looks very dated. An overhaul of the property and marketing campaigns needs to happen quickly or revenue will continue to shift to the competitors.

I was playing the slots and winning (up $3800) when one of there Indiana Gamming Commission Officers came over to me and stuck a badge in my face and said my name and then " Come With ME - We need you to answer some questions!! " not only did I leave a machine that was HOT and paying me (again up $450) these two people took me down stairs and asked for ID then questioned me about a Jackpot win I had earlier. when I asked why ?? they said employees have to "Pool" there tips and they suspected this employee that gave me my winnings didn't -- SO DAMN WHAT !! I don't care this is NOT my concern -- there are literally hundreds of cameras in the Casino I'm sure they can see what there people are doing ALL THE TIME !! As well as what us the players are doing -- I feel I was TARGETED because I was winning to much and they wanted it to stop ! Which it did after this -- I could not get a single machine to even go into bonus after this and lost over $3000 2) NOW I don't even get my monthly mailing sent to me before this 3) my promo went down from $90 to $70 4) funny how many of there machines don't recognize your card or 5) record your money played -- 5) so you NEVER get credit for it !! 6) AND they change how they give you comps for food too !! 7) doesn't matter how much you play -- there's a limit of $50 MAX 8) I never got the scratch off's I was told I live to far away -- funny but my money is green too what the hell does it matter they can clearly see I was a regular. 9) and the women at the front desk when you walk in ARE RUDE AS HELL esp to NON BLACK people !!!!! 10) I asked for help out to my vehicle I has several bags of food and I have a disability (yes I have a handicap placard) the HEAD of security came over to me and told me they would not help me out this IS NOT there job !! so having the over weight dancing and talking to everyone security officer couldn't help me out to make sure I got the my car ok -- No Problem AMERISTAR< BLUE CHIP & Several others WILL and HAVE !!! I brought SIX other people there to play and become card holders and they don't give a Damn. Players mean NOTHING TO THEM !!! I have a $150 Steak House Credit to use and then I will NEVER be back ! to many other places who APPRECIATE my Business and treat me with RESPECT and DECENCY !! They don't have Beggars bothering you while you play and don't allow them to sit on several machine with little to NO money being played a Penny, 5 cents etc or allow people to SLEEP at the machines was a decent place to go in the beginning now just a low life DUMP !!

I do enjoy going to Majestic Star. They have numerous machines/games to chose from. I an strictly a video poker player and some of the pay schedules could be better. Staff is generally friendly although at times they can be hard to find if you are waiting for a hand pay jackpot. Machines could us some mechanical work, not all machines will take the newer $100.00 bills. Buffet is decent and most of the food pretty good. I haven't stayed in the hotel in a few years and if it hasn't been updated since then it is long overdo for a makeover. Overall it is one of my favorites in the area.
