Saw them at a home show and was immediately made uneasy on how aggressive their sales person was. She would ignore my questions or speak around me. Whats worse is that she continued to speak to my boyfriend who was not even on the deed to my house, assuming he made the decisions for us. She called a scheduler and while i was tied up dealing with the same attitude about home ownership from THAT lady, the sales person took advantage by trying the flirt method on my partner who kept trying to inch closer to me as she kept closing a space gap between them, making him very uncomfortable. I canceled the quote and now they are calling his number nonstop, forgetting he doesn’t even own the home.

They don't finish the projects
We had the kitchen installed in August! It was never completed! We have entire cabinet doors missing! Cabinets are crooked with gaps and glue all over! We were told payments wouldn't start until the kitchen was done. They lied. We are being forced to make payments on a kitchen that looks like garbage. They said they would reimburse us for every payment we make while the kitchen isn't completed and that was a lie. They keep delaying the kitchen getting finished, at this point I am looking into lawyers and I will use the money from the lawsuit to have a reliable company fix their mess. I have called customer service and all they do is say they are short handed and keep extending when they will rectify my situation. They shouldn't be starting new contracts if they have projects they haven't finished so they should not be too busy to fix mine but all customer service does is say they are too busy to finish my kitchen so the response to this doesn't help. Telling me to call and handle it directly is insanity, like your staff hasn't received multiple calls!!! I even called a different state to try to get ahold of someone when your St. Louis area location made it apparent they have no intention of finishing my kitchen and I was just transferred back to the St. Louis area location! Your "customer service" team was my first step because I don't like leaving negative reviews. This review is the 2nd step. The next step will be talking to a lawyer since my contract definitely included a finished kitchen and your company has not done that.

Very Disappointed with Mad City Windows…
Very Disappointed with Mad City Windows – Overpriced and Poor Follow-Through
My experience with Mad City has been extremely disappointing, from the sales process to the installation and the attempts to correct the problems afterward.
I feel I was lied to by the sales representative, and unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. After the windows were installed, Mad City had to come back three separate times to address issues with the installation. Each additional visit meant more time spent dealing with problems that should have been handled correctly in the first place.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I also feel I was lied to by the repair technician. After all these visits, I expected the issues to finally be resolved, but even after the most recent visit, my window still was not finished the way it should have been. This is particularly disappointing when the technician claims to have 35 years of carpentry experience. With that level of experience, I expected a much better quality of workmanship and attention to detail.
When you pay the prices Mad City charges, you expect quality products, professional installation, honest communication, and a finished job that meets reasonable expectations. Instead, I've dealt with repeated problems, what I believe were misleading statements, and work that still isn't right after multiple attempts to fix it.
For the price they charge, the quality of the work and the lack of honesty are simply unacceptable. These windows are far too expensive for the experience I've had, and I would have a very difficult time recommending Mad City to anyone based on my experience.
Customers deserve honesty, accountability, and quality workmanship, especially when they're making a significant investment in their home. Unfortunately, that is not what I feel I received from Mad City.

Mad City installation issues
Mad City was hired for cabinet refacing, cabinet door replacement, and new laminate countertops. Measurements were completed May 14 and again May 28 to resolve questions. The initial installation took place the week of July 20, with a second installation on September 11 to address problems.
While the employees were professional, the quality of the work has been disappointing.
Countertops — first installation
* Countertops were not level.
* Gaps between the wall and countertop.
* Seams were poorly executed and chipped.
* One countertop was mis-measured.
Countertops — second attempt, 41 days later
* The countertop was mis-measured again in the same way.
* Bubbling was discovered in the previously installed new laminate countertop.
* After the countertops were reinstalled, the seams, leveling, and gaps were worse than before.
* The island countertop was damaged during the second attempt, and one support has since come off.
Other issues
* Replacement roll-out drawers were 2–4 inches shorter than the originals due to mismeasurement. This was corrected during the second installation.
* I requested in writing and verbally a sink measuring 16–18 inches front to back, similar to our old sink, which they measured. The contractor arrived with a 22-inch sink that would not fit. I had to purchase the correct sink myself and was later reimbursed.
* One piece of corner trim fell off within days of installation and was repaired during the second visit. Another corner still has no trim despite multiple requests.
* One cabinet door was installed scratched and later replaced. Another door has already chipped.
* My husband and I both recall asking the salesperson for the very visible undersides of the cabinets to be included in the refacing. We unfortunately had no documentation of that request, so we will have to resolve this ourselves.
It was very disappointing that the obviously mis-measured countertop had apparently been noticed by both the installer and project manager. When I pointed it out during final sign-off, they said something to the effect of, “Yeah, we saw that. We just wanted to see if you didn’t mind it.”
Numerous cabinet doors and drawers were uneven or installed at different heights, and several drawers were difficult to open. These issues were corrected when we pointed them out during final sign-off, but I suppose I expected noticeable issues like these to be identified and corrected before asking the customer to sign off.
Part of the appeal of refacing was the promise to “finish in 3–5 days.” The initial installation took five days, but it was another 41 days before the replacement countertops arrived, and our kitchen remains incomplete.
We chose refacing partly to avoid the cost and disruption of a full kitchen remodel, since we rent our home for productions, and an incomplete kitchen can cost us up to $1,500 per day in lost income.
Given the installation quality, bubbling, chipping, scratching, and repeated measurement errors, I have very little confidence in how well this work will hold up to standard use. It is also worth noting that during the 41 days after the initial installation, the kitchen was not even being used for 24 days because we were away for vacation and business travel - After just 17 days of standard use, this installation experienced issues.
In the end, the extended installation time, lost income, and repeated problems have created a level of cost and inconvenience similar to what we were trying to avoid by not doing a full remodel. I regret hiring Mad City and would not recommend their services.

AVOID MAD CITY WINDOWS
AVOID MAD CITY WINDOWS.
Our experience has been one of the worst contractor experiences we have ever had. We signed a contract for more than $20,000 expecting professional, code-compliant work. Instead, we dealt with repeated installation problems, multiple crews, corrective work, a leaking window, and now a lien placed on our home.
What makes this especially unacceptable is Mad City’s own contract. It says the buyer signs a completion certificate only “after Mad City has completed all work under this Agreement.” It also defines “Substantial Completion” as the job being “materially completed, functional as intended, and a final inspection having been obtained.”
How is a leaking window “functional as intended”?
Their contract also warrants that the work will be “of good quality and in conformance with applicable building codes and laws.” Those are Mad City’s words, not ours.
We raised legitimate concerns about workmanship and code compliance, had additional crews come back to address problems, and still ended up with a leaking window. Rather than fully resolving those issues and restoring our confidence, Mad City escalated the dispute by placing a lien on our house.
A lien is not a minor billing issue. It is a legal claim against a homeowner’s property. In my opinion, it is outrageous to take that step while serious disputes remain over whether the work met the company’s own contractual standards for quality, completion, and functionality.
Mad City expects homeowners to follow every term protecting Mad City. Homeowners should expect Mad City to follow every term protecting them.
Document everything, photograph the work, read every page of the contract, and do not sign completion paperwork unless you are truly satisfied.
Based on our experience, I would never hire Mad City Windows again.

The conversion of a tub to shower…
The conversion of a tub to shower installation was terrible from start to "finish." The project started on July 1, 2026 and was not finished on July 2, 2026 as was indicated. The installers broke the toilet during the initial work. The window framing and the floor framing were not finished. Due to company issues the installers did not return until late July and did not complete the project until August. We went on a vacation after the work was completed and when we returned the ceilings in the dining room and kitchen were heavily damaged by water leaking from the drain pipe connection from the shower to the maintenance drain. A totally disgusting and unprofessional job. I wish that I could give a lower rating!!

The sales reps are insane and won't stop harassing me
The sales reps are insane. They called me every hour for two days nonstop before I finally got a manager to confirm they were going to stop. Every number was spoofed so I couldn't just block them.
Now almost 4 months later it's happening again, but with AI people, so I can't even get them to legitimately stop!
Avoid at all costs! This company is terrible.
