Before attending Lumiere, I had no prior knowledge on how to write a research paper. During the program, I didn't only learn how a research paper is written, I also advanced my critical thinking skills and my ability to comprehend more complex ideas. Of course, I didn't do all of that alone. My mentor guided me throughout the entire process. She was very patient and supportive, and I'm grateful for her effort and guidance. Overall, I think Lumiere is a great opportunity to learn and experience writing a research paper. It is a challenging but equally rewarding journey, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do research and believes in themselves to overcome the challenges.

Everyone was incredibly helpful and answer any questions. I got plenty of insights of how to not only do the program, but also provide useful information that could come in handy when applying for colleges and preparing for universities. The staff is quick with answering any things that may have been unclear before and each milestone eases the work needed to be done. Lumiere prepared me into doing the highest quality of work I could and I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning both skills for the future and how to conduct a high quality research for any project.

Through the Lumiere research program, I was able to write a full, academically focused research paper, with the help of my mentor assigned to me by Lumiere. The process before, during, and after conducting the research allows for students to grasp the concepts they are researching about prior to writing, work efficiently during the writing process, and format their paper correctly. If anyone is interested in research or academic growth as a whole, I would definitely recommend they join a Lumiere program!

This project has helped me grow in various ways.
