I've been on the platform for about a year and had a disappointing experience as a host both times. I left the apartment relatively uncleaned as per instructions from kindred and let them organise the cleaning. Both times I got the apartment back uncleaned and the second time when I demanded it be cleaned, they requested photos which after review said did not meet the threshold for a "re-clean". The floors and counters were dirty, the toilet wasn't clean and the rug clearly hadn't seen the vacuum cleaner. It also made me worry that my guests also didn't get the apartment clean. The "cleanings" are booked for ~3hrs and are usually done in half that time, but also one of my guests had to wait over an hour after check-in as the cleaner was running late (they didn't start until 90mins after the scheduled cleaning start time). It feels like they've not thought the basics through e.g. the guest check-in time cannot be the same time as the cleaning finish time if the key is being stored at a KeyNest location.

Kindred has made it possible for us to visit new cities in the US, and has been especially helpful around wedding season as we travel for our friends’ events. The kindred customer service is top notch, and the places are always cleaned and legit!
