My time with Lionrock was essential in my recovery. The fact that I could do recovery from HOME and not be inconvenienced in anyway was AMAZING!! I had been drinking all day, everyday for the last 2 years. I hid my drinking. People knew I drank, but no one really knew the full extent my alcoholism. Obtaining, consuming and erasing evidence of alcohol was the stuff my days were made of. One evening in April 2020, I found myself on the way home, driving my kids down the highway, thinking "I should not be driving, this is not right." After an altercation with my 13 year old daughter and a restless night, I told my husband the truth: I had a problem and I needed help. I did a Google search for IOP and LionRock was the first result. I was too nauseous to make a phone call, so I submitted an online form. Someone called me that afternoon, checked my insurance benefits and set an appointment with a counselor that same day. Bonus... it was all online. I got sober during a pandemic because of LionRock. This was a life changing decision. Life can be hard, but I don't have to drink over it now.
