Thank you for taking the time to write a review Thomas. The reason why this occurs is being while a device is out of the building it is required that we monitor it. Because we are required to monitor the device, a cost must be attached to it. For this reason you are unable to pause your service and still keep the device. You are welcome, however, to return the device and cancel your service while you do not need it, and then re-activate your account when the device is necessary again.

Highly "average" at best. Often a substantial delay for an operator to answer. In a two story home, verbal communication was mostly impossible, especially with an elderly person. Not sure if there is anything better, but this got the job done, and could have been significantly better. The operators were nice once they finally answered.

Thank you for the review Robert. If you believe that your device is not powerful enough for communication in your home, you can change your device to a button with a 2-way speaker. This would allow us to speak to you wherever you are as long the button is on your person. If you are interested in this please call our customer service line to learn more about your options.

some of the people on the phone very unfriendly. when we decided to switch company because my mom's insurance worked with a different company, I asked for confirmation that it was cancelled after I returned all the equipment and I was rejected twice by very rude phone reps. basically I was told that I will figure it out by not seeing a charge next month! Why can't i just get a letter in confirmation that Life Station received the equipment I returned?

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Unfortunately the technology in the charger is rather complex and we are unable to replace it without payment. For this reason any replacement chargers will be billed to the customer, but because it is a rather stationary device, we expect this to be a very rare situation.

While I have no problems with the service, the promise that you can "terminate at any time" is incredibly misleading. What they really mean is that you can cancel the service but they won't refund anything that you paid in advance. My family member had used the service for over a year. I renewed her service for a second year, not knowing that two months later she would be cognitively unable to even understand what the wrist device was for let alone have the wherewithal to use it. When I attempted to receive at least a partial refund I was told that wasn't possible. I persevered and eventually did recover some of the money but it was an extremely difficult process during an already amazingly difficult time in my love one's life.

The last time my mother in law fell, it took 2 presses of the button for anyone to respond. They were much better prior. Just disappointed that the response was not very quick when things could have been bad. Luckily she was able to wait and respond when someone did answer.

When I called and selected the "test" option, the recording says the test may take 15 minutes, however it does not say how to determine if it passes or fails. I got no feedback whatsoever and it was not working. (I initially tried pushing the alert button after which multiple "emergency" voice messages were repeated by the device but no response came from headquarters). Also, one other time I selected a troubleshooting option and received no response for several hours. While the actual emergency responses are timely, anything selected over the phone leaves much to be desired.
