It is a very good device if the elderly carries it all the time. Our experience tells us that our mom seldom use it, one thing is that she forgets most of the time. If she puts on, it helps. Otherwise it is useless. Over all it is a very usefully device and saves lives.

My alert works fine, and I have had a couple of occasions to use it for a fall. I would go to five stars if I were able to talk into it like a phone, but that is not absolutely necessary!

Thank you, George for your feedback. Because the Help Buttons are waterproof, we are unable to install speakers inside. The purpose of them being water proof is so that you will also be able to wear them in the shower, washing dishes, etc. That is why our base station has a speaker that has a voice range of up to 2,500 square feet; you can speak into the open air with our Care Specialists in the event of any emergencies. The LifeStation back office seems to be keeping an eye on things. When a battery starts to go bad I am promptly notified. Fortunately I have not yet had to actually use LifeStation to call for help, but I have no reason to think it wouldn't work.

It seemed like the alert sounded at odd hours of the night. Fortunately, someone called immediately, but it was startling to wake up at 3 in the morning to the alert going off.

LifeStation is one of the least expensive, feature-packed, eldercare systems available. My first experience began with my mother's need to live independently; yet, with the peace of mind that should something happen, she would have a full-service response to her medical emergency. That experience led me to recommend this system to a close friend who also developed a similar need. He, too, is thoroughly sold on this solution until such time as he moves to an assisted-living facility. Dollar for dollar, there is no other system that offers immediate assistance from a team of on-call responders ready to send help at the push of a button. You can pay more for the same service... or less for fewer benefits (ie. outsourced answering services; cell phones alone; home phone devices that direct dial relatives); but LifeStation Rocks!!!

Even if you don't have to call for an emergency, there is peace of mind, just knowing that you could if you needed to. I have used the lock box to get back in my house when the keys were inside. There have been enough times when an unexpected emergency sent me to the hospital. Living alone now means it is more important than ever to know where to get help.... fast.

I think the only negative to your product is that you are supposed to test it to make sure it works once a month.....seems sometimes to me that it takes quite a long time for anyone to answer once I do test it.....though it may not be. Only seems long while you are waiting.
