Thank you for your feedback Gary. The devices are tested before they leave the warehouse and we would not send one out that has a defective battery or one that is about to fail. That being said, it is entirely possible that a device can fail while with our customers, and the button itself should be flashing a blinking light as a warning for that.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review Sylvia. The device itself is supposed to warn the user that the battery is low, and at this time you could then call us about a replacement battery. If this has still not been resolved i would recommend calling our customer service line at 800-998-2400 to see if we can help solve your battery issues.

I am terribly sorry to hear about your loss, and i apologize for the difficult situation you found yourself in. The reason that the service cannot be disconnected is because we are required by law to monitor any device that is outside of the building, and because of that a charge has to be applied to each device that is away from our warehouse. We will take the time to look into our procedure when a user passes away to see if we can make it easier for you to return your equipment while in this situation. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The reason why the reimbursement did not go through is because we are required to monitor the device outside of the building. Until the device is returned we are required by law to monitor it, and therefore a cost must be attached to this monitoring. If the device was returned before the renewal no further charges would occur, but during the time between your renewal and the device being returned to the building the device must be watched and therefore must be charged.

This is something that should not happen with our device, so if something truly went wrong we should look into your device and make sure that everything is functioning properly. I would recommend calling our customer service line so they can help you test the device and walk you through any troubleshooting that may be required in order to ensure the performance of the product.

If you were able to leave a message on our customer service line and you were still not contacted than that is a fault with our representatives or how the process was handled. I will look into this to make sure that the proper procedure is being followed when a message is left, and to figure out why your messages went unanswered. From what i can see on my end the device should have arrived yesterday just before noon so this situation should be resolved at this point in time. I apologize for any inconveniences you may have had while waiting for the device. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review.

While it is true that at the moment we have no online support, our customer service team is always available to help you with whatever information you need from your account. When you call our customer service line at (800) 998-2400, and you provide your Order Number or other essential information, the representative should be able to easily identify your account and provide you with any information you need. Now i do not know what you mean when you say what type of coverage your mother had, but if you mean what type of device she had (in-home, mobile, gps, etc) customer service should be able to help you with this as well when you call.
