They don’t answer the phone. It is not uncommon to be on hold for an hour. The first psychiatrist was completely disengaged, so we switched to a different psychiatrist. I honestly don’t know if she was any better because we switched before our primary care doctor took over the prescription. Today I finally remembered to write the review because we tried to cancel the appointment that we got the reminder for today, but it has to be canceled two business days in advance. Life Stance was requiring four appointments a year. They are just out to take money without any real mental health help.

This billing department is not helpful. I had an EAP referral number from my work that covered 4 free sessions. Not only did the person not correctly put in the EAP number in the beginning of my sessions (which caused a huge inconvenience), but my last session was entered incorrectly (again). I have been back and forth for months now. Last month, I spoke with someone who said they would escalate the issue to the billing manager. This did not happen because I received an email today about an outstanding balance of $147.65. I called again today (May 30) and someone said they will escalate it to billing. Not to mention, I spent over an hour on hold with the billing department and never heard back. I feel as though this company did a disservice to me because this has frankly caused only further stressors and inconveniences. Do not recommend.

Lifestance Health was founded around 2017, in that time they have managed to buy out countless mental health facilities in the US and run them as one giant company. My daughter was receiving care from Lifestance. She mentioned that she felt like a number and not a person. Very businesslike and not as caring and empathetic as you might imagine a mental health provider would be. As if that wasn't enough, their billing practices are horrendous. $200 if you miss an appointment. $200!!! Oh but don't worry, if you have to cancel and it happens to be less than 48 hours, you only get charged $100. Bills on their portal don't always reflect these charges so you are left wondering why your credit card is being charged. This company has zero interest in you and your wellbeing and I can't help but feel like they are preying on vulnerable people. It's basic corporate greed. The US healthcare system is an embarrassment and is in dire need of reform.

DO NOT CALL OR GO HERE!! I wish I would have looked at these reviews before yesterday, but I was very happy to finally be getting some help after waiting over 3 months to find a place to accept my insurance I didn’t check the reviews, my fault! Yesterday was my very first televisit with Krystin Muha a nurse practitioner and she was 8 minutes late getting to the waiting room. Not professional at all, no introduction no nothing, told me she couldn’t hear me to sign out and sign back into waiting room, I did that and I’m waiting and waiting it’s after hours so I can’t call the office, so I continue to wait it was almost 30 minutes and a lady came in was not Krystin Muha this was a different Christina she was very nice she could tell I was frustrated & upset I told her who I was supposed to see and we spoke briefly , she even gave me her cell phone number, she was kind, I signed back out and went back into my original waiting room for Krystine Muha and waited another 10 minutes she didn’t come in, and they have the nerve to charge me a NO-Show $90.00, I called the office this morning and she was very pushy for me to set up another appointment but was not willing to remove the charge and told me mistakes happen, & told me it was my fault. I really don’t know how I ended up in another providers waiting room but they need to work on their links!!!!! Why in the world would I choose to make another appointment?? Terrible place, no help what so ever after reading all the reviews of others. Please believe me when I say do not come to Lifestance!!!!

It is laughable that I am receiving this review, when I have not even received my healthcare file, which by law I should have when I was abandoned by Lifestance in December of 2022. I also have not spoked to a doctor for mental health since winter of 2022. I am a highly educated professional adult. This is sadly my TRUTH and opinion based on their actions, not slander. If Lifestance actually cared and was professional, I would not have to write this nor be in this position. PLEASE read this and what is found on the site "TrustPilot" and read what this organization puts people through. They are a "for profit" organization. Which means they are in it for YOUR $$. You do not matter. They are also currently under a class action lawsuit, which only further proves my point. I am a perfect patient with zero issues on their record in over 10 years. I did nothing wrong to deserve this. I was approached by my doctor for money for a business she wanted to start that I wanted no part of. It failed and she failed. She failed to fill medications and fill them correctly and I questioned the billing and her mental sanity. I then was sent on a roller coaster of morons and little men wanting to right fight and I gave them more than one chance to make it right. But they are so obtuse, stubborn, wrong and unethical that the entire Salem / Peterborough locations should be closed down before they do harm to someone. They serve zero purpose. They are the single worst group of people that I have ever witnessed. One is even a lawyer and wants to play a doctor "pill pusher" at night who falsely advertises on the website. She made the assumption to abandon me, then not send me my medical file that I asked her for...an attorney??? Her boss is a "little man" who likes to play God and would rather right fight than face a real issue and rectify it. So, he "hides" like a worm. Trying to get anyone on the phone in this organization is also another telltale sign of their inefficiency. Eve worse, their Corporate Compliance Director reached out via Linkedin of his own hand to my wife, a healthcare executive who would, "look good" on his page. When it came to helping us. He dropped her and provided a bogus site and phone number. Every individual is useless and provides nothing but grief and aggravation. They are the living embodiment of mediocrity. They are the absolute bottom feeding organization of mental healthcare and should be shut down. Please listen to me and seek care elsewhere. Don't put your trust into the hands of people that don't care like I did. I just can't believe I associated myself with people that are this stupid, unethical, inhuman and have zero empathy. They are the epitome of absolute horror in healthcare. Talk to a wall instead of wasting your time and money with these nightcrawlers who cover for each other and retaliate when you bring them an issue. They are the people that need help.

Waited a number of weeks for an appointment for anxiety. I have terminal cancer. Appointment time comes met with a nice Dr, unfortunately, she doesn’t treat people over 60 with anxiety she treats schizophrenia for people under 60. That appointment should never been made for me. So I call intake and they schedule me for another tentative appointment in four weeks. Woman I spoke with said she would call me back in two days to confirm, hasn’t happened. I’m currently on antidepressants and anti anxiety meds which I will run out of. My oncologist has been helping me with meds. I get a message in the portal with another Drs names for my upcoming appointment. Today I Call intake again and ask speak to the person who made the appointment so I know what is going on. Still waiting on return call. Needless to say this place has my anxiety at an all time high.

In my opinion, this company should be sued for fraudulent billing and malpractice. Also in my opinion, they jeopardize the fragile mental health of their patients. My husband was under therapy from one of their doctors, LifeStance bought the practice and things, which weren't great, got so much worse. He is in a very bad way because of it ever since and has lost trust in therapists also because of our experience with LifeStance. With all these terrible reviews does anyone have a class action medical malpractice lawsuit against them currently? If so, can you please share the name of the law firm so that we can call and participate? There is a class action lawsuit against them right now for alleged issues related to their IPO. Google Johnson Fistel, LLP, the law firm bringing the IPO related suit if you are interested in knowing more.

This is the worst service ever. You will need therapy from trying to get therapy from Lifestance. They are buying up practices like crazy, but have done ZERO work to integrate providers into a working system. I've been ghosted, canceled and rescheduled a dozen times. I've been registered with them for 2 months and I've had 6 intake appointments that lead nowhere.
