Do not do business with Lifestance. They just want to extract the maximum amount of money from you and your insurance company.
Their entire process feels like a scam that was initially designed to charge a naive young man (18) an excessive amount ($3000+) to his personal credit card for a service without involving the insurance company at all. Only when I got involved and began asking questions did it go through the insurance company at all. It also appears the amount was padded when eventually sent to the insurance company to maximize the amount Lifestance would receive. According to online reviews, many have had exactly the same experience I did. More than half of Lifestance's employees are unhappy with the company they work for. I wish I would have had a chance to research before my son was referred to "Lifestance". This company is having a negative impact upon the health and counseling industries, not to mention the lives of people seeking care.
