I’m almost speechless over how bad this place is. I chose a provider on their website based on his credentials (Ariel Mintz) which clearly says on his profile he sees patients with adhd etc. in fact, it says he specializes in it. I wait weeks for my appointment and then a few days before it I get a voicemail saying that the doctor doesn’t see people with adhd (and lists several other mental health disorders he doesn’t deal with) all disorders that were on his profile stating he DOES treat. I call back, no answer. Left a voicemail, it’s been almost a monthand I haven’theard a word and don’t believe i will. Just YIKES all around. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place

Read the reviews beware unprofessional
On December the 12th I received a reminder by email that my appointment was on December 13. On December the 13th I received a text message stating that they no longer take my insurance and I would need to find a new provider. I called and spoke with them and they pretty much told be too bad too sad find somebody else. I’ve been going there for 5+ years so unprofessional probably why there rating is so low. Would not recommend!

Nice Doctor, Poor Office Staff
LifeStance set up a follow-up appointment for me on 12/12 at 3:40. I had to leave work early. When I arrived the receptionist asked for my name. She used the phrase "This is bad." and told me I did not have an appointment scheduled. She said sometimes the software does not save the information when it is input into the system. She tried to get me to reschedule and I told her I did not want to lose any more time at work. I will not be going back.

Scam. Scam. Scam.
They did a bait and switch on me.
Signed up for an account and made an appointment for a telehealth appointment that was 2 days later.
I check my account the night before the appointment and suddenly the appointment is changed to an in person visit that is a 3.5 hour drive from me. It also said I need to talk to an intake cordinator before the appointment.
I reached out to LifeStance with multiple messages through the website as well as Facebook to no avail.
Now my account has a 90$ balance.
Not paying and will dispute this as well as file complaints.
DONT TELL PEOPLE ITS A TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENT AND THEN SWITCH IT.
SCAM.

They're so bad I couldn't even quit them easily
I was stuck with this company after my doctor sold their practice to Lifestance. I didn't have one single good experience - doctor after doctor quit because Lifestance is so bad. I was left without care entirely because of their incompetence. I couldn't even quit them easily because they didn't return my call to have records released to another provider. Once they finally did, the lady was beyond rude. She said she'd send a form for me to fill out. She sent an email... empty... no form. I finally found what I needed on my own. It's a clown show. The ONLY thing they do in a timely manner is send bills - but those are like a Forrest Gump Box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. My appointments were always the same but the bills would be all different amounts, seemingly based on wind direction, someone's mood, and the serious possibility that my entire experience was a secretly televised practical joke.

they took $75 out my account for no…
they took $75 out my account for no true reason. fighting with them to give it back. they tossed me back and forth to three people within their organization with no resolution.
Check out their Lawsuit reviews and all the trouble with breaking laws, it's got at least two, maybe more. don't trust them with our debt or credit card!
Also the provider Michael Tolleson gave me a new medication called which causes sleeplessness and a change to the way take one of the medications. neither was a good change. I have chronic insomnia and the other caused me to be very cranky. I wasn't in need of a change as my meds as I am stable in my mental illness. they don't know or don't pay attention to what medications. Obviously they don't have the proper knowledge of the medications that they prescribe. Stay away!

Beware
We have been with LifeStance for years. My son has severe autism and we had great providers. Our provider left the practice and the new incoming NP was awful. Never responded to messages, never got refills completed, my son ended up without meds and huge meltdown. We are moving on I would encourage everyone be very careful. I also was charged for canceled appointments even though we could not get through to cancel.

Absolutely unethical, unprofessional company. Avoid at all costs.
I worked at Lifestance for a total of 3 months, with the intent of this being a full time, long term position. From day one, I experienced significant lack of and misleading communication throughout all levels of supervisors at Lifestance. Before I accepted the position, I was assured I would be able to continue to see (billing through Lifestance) some of my long-term patients from my private practice. I have documentation between myself and my direct supervisor assuring this was not a problem. In this correspondence, supervisor informed me 'If you have clients, you'd like to bring with you, we just need to make sure you are credentialed on our end with the insurances they use, if they use insurance. Once you are in-network, the clients can call our Intake Team and get set up with services, and they can tell them they saw you and are going to see you here now.' Subsequent emails between supervisor and myself included her asking me for and me sending her their specific insurance companies for credentialing, and detailed instructions on how my patients should contact Lifestance to become patients. One of my private practice patients actually was successful in becoming a Lifestance patient, however the remainder of my patients informed me that when they have followed supervisors instructions, they were treated rudely by Lifestance staff, and informed they had to be residents of CO (patients were from different state- I am dually licensed). When I again brought this concern up, this time escalating it to a higher level supervisor, she informed me this has 'been on her radar,' however is not likely to happen. This was an issue I first brought up two months prior, and repeatedly since that time, to ensure my patients would have no break in treatment when my 'no compete' agreement with Lifestance would begin. Due to their non-response to this situation, and subsequent erroneous information regarding my ability to continue to see my private practice patients through lifestance- 20 people I had worked with-some for years- would have been left with no mental health treatment in a matter of 2-3 weeks. This constitutes patient abandonment and is unethical. A significant reason Lifestance was initially attractive to me was the promised ease of administrative tasks- less paperwork, Lifestance does the credentialing and scheduling, I don't have to deal with patient's payments. Absolutely none of that is true. Paperwork requirements were more at this organization than anywhere else I have worked. I had to complete hours of documentation for insurance credentialing. I was responsible for scheduling my own patients (front desk only schedules intakes), I was responsible for collecting co-pays. Another example of unethical patient care/unprofessionalism: the front desk scheduled an intake patient with me 1 week post suicide attempt (not her first). I completed the intake and attempted to schedule a next appointment with her. The patient told me when she scheduled her initial appointment, she specifically asked the front desk person if I offered evening appointments-and was reportedly told I had 'many.' My schedule was 730-3. She was crestfallen. After the appointment, I contacted my supervisor to figure out how to proceed, to see how this can be remedied so it doesn't happen again. I expressed my frustration as well as conveyed my patients frustration and sadness. The essence of supervisor's response was 'that happens' and that it was my responsibility to find her another therapist. Despite the crisis nature of this patient's needs, it took several weeks before she was able to schedule another appointment with a therapist. In written correspondence between supervisor and myself, I indicated to her that I only see women in therapy. She told me how to communicate this to the intake team (front desk scheduling), and I do so- no problem. However, a few weeks later she informs me 'corporate' says this cannot happen, I will have to see men. Of all places of employment, a business that specializes in mental health should be able to accommodate this request; should understand why a highly trained woman might be unable to work with men in an intimate relationship such as therapy. Upon my exit with Lifestance, I was scheduled to meet with a higher up in HR to discuss my concerns. The first zoom appointment scheduled with him, he no-showed. I attempted to reschedule another one via email- he never responded.
**They are now threatening to sue me for repayment of the signing bonus. I was informed by their finance department that they would NOT PAY ME for my services already rendered, to "recoup" my signing bonus. I was not only NOT paid for my work already completed, and am still being threatened with a lawsuit.
