Probably the worst “health” company I have dealt with. The actual therapist was fine. But this company is ridiculous to work with. There is no online option (website, email or text) to cancel appointments. And if you call, you can only call during business hours, and no leaving messages. It’s like a company from the 1950s. Website is useless as is the back office staff. Look, I hate giving bad reviews. But there is no other recourse as they refuse to speak with me beyond the poor receptionist who has no ability to do anything other than accept your late fee (48 hours, zero exceptions, but also impossible to call them).
Update on 1/28/2025 - I reached out to the "wecare" email as noted in the response from the Company and I have had no response from them. Not a surprise at all, but still disappointing.

A complete nightmare
A complete nightmare! They say they are "working on your problem" but no one calls you back, even after calling multiple times. My mental health is in a much worse place after having to deal with them. You would think that a company that deals with people with mental health issues would do better. I am completely disappointed and wouldn't even recommend lifestance to my very worst enemy.
Edited to Add: I did contact the email provided by Lifestance below. After providing them with the location, I received no response and no resolution to my problem. I will be seeking out new doctors.

Nightmare handling with administrative issues
My first psychiatrist at Lifestance was amazing and she was the sweetest woman I’ve ever met. She however retired and when I tried to reschedule with a new psychiatrist they told me I had too many “no-shows.” I had missed 6 appointments over the course of the year and for 3 had cancelled 24 hours in advance but they still considered them no shows. I understand my mistake in this situation but you would think they would be more understanding considering they deal with people who struggle with mental health issues. I asked if there was any way to remedy the situation and they said they would put in a request to schedule an appointment with some sort of upper management and that they would get back to me. I called a week later for an update and they said the “management” had not responded. Ok. Fine. I called again a week later. Same thing. At this point I’m frustrated as I am clearly trying to fix the situation and they dont seem to care. A month later and I still never heard back. I switched to talkiatry and am so much happier. I dont have to call every single time I need an appointment or a refill now. I dont reccommend lifestance at all if you have any kind of mental health struggles. It is ridiculous to me that they require you cancel within 48 hours as 3 times I had gotten sick and could not have predicted that. Don’t waste your time here. They dont care about you. Every time I called that phone number I was on hold for way too long.

Cigna portal to find a dr is how I…
Cigna portal to find a dr is how I found lifestance; yet, i have now $5600 unpaid bills. I called lifestance billing and they said they 'see the issue now' - the doctors in question were "contractors" and they will fix the issue. Note: i have no doubt they will fix the issue, but I also believe with 100pc certainty that they would have happily accepted my $5600. This has upset me so much, that as of today I have decided to start punishing providers for their billing departments complete and utter incompetence. It should not be my job to get them to work with their partnered innetwork insurance company.

I had 2pm appt
I had 2pm appt. with Thomas Bachman at 2:40 asked what is the problem? I was told he is leaving from someplace else and would and will be here in about 30 minutes or so. I then asked for my copay back and the only response I got was bye. Not 1 question about rescheduling or anything and never received a call or apology. Very unprofessional!

FRAUDULENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL
This is in regards to your Warwick, RI location.
Appointment was today, January 9th with Dr. Miranda Icart.
Please don’t bother sending your computer generated response that you value customer service… your verbatim responses to all of your negative reviews truly speak to the kind of company you are. I have your “wecare@“ email address and I will make an attempt to contact you there, but I do not anticipate a human response.
I reached out in July to schedule an appointment in RI for an ADHD evaluation.
Had my first virtual visit in September, and could not get the psychological test scheduled until December.
I was contacted in October to change my appointment, and they moved me to another day in December.
I used PTO and took the day (Dec 16th) out of work, only to get a call just 40 mins prior to my appointment to cancel because the doctor was no longer available. Already terrible business practice.
They rescheduled me to January 9th.
I received a call on Dec 30th confirming my appointment and reminding me of my $20 copay due at time of visit.
I arrived to my appointment and paid the $20 upon checkin.
An hour into my testing, the “receptionist” who checked me in, knocked on the door to interrupt the test and tell the doctor that they didn’t realize I owe more money, so they had to stop the test until they discussed the new amount due with me.
I left the room and went to the desk and was told that because I canceled my original appointment in December, my deductible reset Jan 1st, so I owed $1020! I told them I would have never agreed to the test, had I been informed appropriately of this cost in advance. Immediately I knew this was ridiculous because I never even met my deductible in 2024 - so the excuse was a lie- and I was told by LifeStance from the first July call that my insurance would be accepted and the provider was in-network. Not to mention- THEY CANCELED ON ME, I DID NOT CANCEL THEM.
Additionally, they called me 10 days prior reconfirming the $20 copay. No mention of any additional fees.
They let me continue my test and said they would figure it out, and after my test as I was leaving told me that I need to contact my insurance company and give them all 15 CPT codes to see what they cover… THIS IS THEIR JOB!
I asked for them to call but they refused and proceeded to give me a Testing Verification and Estimate form- which is clearly something I should have received prior to my appointment.
Then, during my appointment, they emailed me a financial agreement to sign which I should have received weeks or months prior, which I would be a fool to sign now.
Now, after multiple calls to my Insurance company, I’m told that these tests needed prior authorization, and LifeStance is required to obtain that before any tests or evals are done. They gave me the tests without any authorization and then handed me a bill to figure out what me and my insurance company was going to cover. This is violation #1.
I have never encountered such a HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL experience within the medical industry.
Violation #2 is the No Surprise Act and I will be filing a claim against Lifestance if they make any attempt to collect this money. Not to mention, I will be sure to include this information on all review platforms that exist- which again, really speak to the nature of your fraudulent company.
Once again, I’m sure I’ll get an auto-response, but if they are as dedicated to customer service as they speak here in all of their replies, they will easily find out who I am and contact me directly to resolve this.
Oh, and all of their reviews above 2 stars are from their corporate marketing team’s fake accounts. It’s completely obvious when you read them… Their investors should be embarrassed about who they employ on all levels.

First of all
First of all, as I am leaving this review, I have been on hold now for 35 minutes. I am calling because they are charging me $50 for missing a virtual appointment because I never received a link to join my appointment. I joined late because I had no link. I was on hold for 40 minutes last week trying to re-schedule and now I'm on hold for them charging me when the woman I spoke to said I would not be charged because of no link. My NP is fine. I have tried to make an appointment for counseling but I wanted in person and when I arrived the office person aid she was only doing virtual calls that day. My first virtual visit I was charged $25 when my insurance covers them at $0. That was a month ago and I have called twice for a refund. Ive only been with this company since November but I feel like I spend more time on hold than anything else. I'M ABOUT READY TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. It seems they are more interested in the bottom line than helping their clients. ;(
