I love my therapist. Hate getting so many ads/emails

While the billing and scheduling was efficient, I miss having in-person sessions with my clinician. I think tele-health is an option for urgent mental health matters or when prescription refills are needed, but for on-going authentic therapeutic relationships to build and develop in a healthy way, I strongly opine that consumers have more options available.

I feel that the check-in process asked too many questions and often the questions are repeats over and over every time you check in and some of those questions don’t need to be asked every time

My only engagement is for ongoing medical prescription maintenance. Since a few sessions in my once every 60-day or longer appointments have been a quick 15 min or less check in. No therapy. Useful, but not terribly helpful if that makes sense.

My sessions that did happen were fine but after the first therapist cancelled 3 out of 5 appointments with very little notice. One was cancelled as I Iogged into the online session. I saw a second therapist, her first name is Susan, and those sessions were fine. I had seemed to work through my issues before working with her so there was no need to do any more with her.

The counselor that we saw was nice but she didn't work for use which is a normal thing. Sometimes you have to try multiple counselor before you find that right person for you. What I dislike is the LifeStance requires that the patient get an internal referral frome the counselor requesting a change. How awkward is that?? A person who is already experiencing some sort of emotional/mental issues to now have to tell the therapist essentially that I don't like the job your doing, can you refer me to someone else? THAT SHOULD NOT BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT. We should be able to call the intake line and request a change and get it. Period

The providers I've seen are good. However, the technical part is a nightmare. Because I have a new provider that works out of a different area of Massachusetts than the first one, apparently I need to re-register as a second version of myself. They also changed something recently so that you have to confirm 5 pages of demographic info and do 2 screening questionnaires before you can log into your Zoom visit. Now that I know that, I will log in 15 minutes early, but I was frantic while trying to get to my Zoom because they charge you TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS for missed appointments.

I love my counselor so much, she is the best! Always knows when I need to vent and when I need to reflect, and guides me through it! She's actually the one who encouraged me to get tested for autism, which I did at the Eugene office in 2019 when it was called Strong's Integrated Behavioral Health, and getting my diagnosis of autism, ADHD, PTSD and depression has helped me so much mentally, especially with my self worth and self talk. So when my therapist ended up working for Life stance, I was already an established patient so it was easy to transition to seeing her here. Well, not seeing-seeong, since we do virtual visits. So I've not been in to the actual office since it became Lifestance. I did call and tried asking about classes when they first became Lifestance, because the classes I had taken there prior were helpful and I do well in group therapies, but I never heard back after leaving numerous messages. I just figured they stopped holding any classes anymore. But my therapist Heather has been such a phenomenal asset and counselor to me and I'm sure to many others. I'm so grateful!
