Runway-level Designs (3.5 Stars) The dresses are classic and shaped beautifully. The only thing stopping me from buying every piece is the fabric. They use polyester for most of their pieces, which is unfortunate but I presume keeps their margins high. It's tough to find evening/going-out clothing that isn't over-the-top and unnecessarily skimpy while still being sexy and showing skin tastefully. LEAU strikes a good balance for me. The pieces can comfortably be worn to a nice dinner and out to a bar without missing a beat. I also appreciate the simplicity, which allows me to style the clothing to fit my taste. The Other Missing Star Aside from the fabric, I took a star off for the packaging. For this price point, I'm expecting branded gift boxes and tissue paper. NO. You're going to receive a dusty faded black package (no box) with your items balled up inside. What a shame. This almost stopped me from re-ordering. General communications is on par. They will respond in a timely manner. I haven't returned anything yet, and I'm trying to avoid doing so since the return process is manual and laborious for the customer.

I truly appreciated the kindness and grace that was initially shown to me by the customer service team. I was reassured that my return for store credit would be prioritized once delivered, which meant a lot to me because I was trying to exchange the item in time for my graduation Because of that reassurance, I sent my return back the same day I received the return label and trusted the timeline that had been communicated. Unfortunately, after the package was delivered and I followed up as instructed, it felt like the urgency and priority I was initially shown had faded, and the previous promises were no longer being honored. I was then asked to wait even longer despite doing everything on my end as quickly as possible. What has been most upsetting is that I am now without a dress for my graduation photos because I relied on the store credit being processed in time to order the replacement. While the tone of the emails remained friendly, I wish there had been more consistency, follow-through, and understanding of how important this purchase was to me.

I’ll start off with the positives, their customer service is good! They are prompt in getting back to you within the time perimeters they promise. They are so friendly and understanding. Now the reason why I needed the support. The item I order was so beautiful, the fit was I would say true to size. Unfortunately they didn’t opt for this dress to be lined. Which was a big mistake, as it was very see through. There for I returned the dress. The price was just shy of $300 AUD + $40 shipping… so for that price point I was quite disappointed it didn’t make the cut. If only it was lined… Overall the value for money isn’t great based of the item I got. But overall my experience was good

I bought a dress to try for an event after seeing it on Instagram. In the checkout process wasn't clear to me that if you use a discount code you can’t get a refund and you can only get store credit. I believe if stores have a non-standard policy like this it should be flashed in HUGE print everywhere the code is listed. This wasn’t the case. If you click into the return policy and scroll down, you can see the credit only part of the return policy for items on sale, however. After posting this review and discussing this with the company for over a week they offered to refund the purchase. I am happier with the result now, but it was still a hassle.

Update: I do want to update this review as after posting it, customer service escalated my issues to the founder of the company. While we probably both wish it had not taken this post or length of time to get a response, I do realize they didn't have to do anything even after this post. She thoughtfully responded, wanted to make things right while still understanding my frustrations, & offered 3 options to move forward with a resolution. She also stated she would use this as an opportunity to improve the customer service experience for all customers. While the below experience is still valid, it is important to recognize the effort to improve, be heard, & feel valued as a consumer. Thank you Gia for your attention & for the time you took to resolve this. Absolutely the worst customer service ever! They keep tax for items you exchange and charge you tax on the replacement item which is unheard of. I was also told I would receive credit to the original form of payment due to the dress being damaged and then a day later was told that was wrong and they would not honor what their own team member 'promised'. Influencers are promoting their product but not even looking into the support they provide. Utter trash and will never purchase from them again. They comment to send them your order number after you complain but they do nothing with it to make things better. I did this the first time when they lied about refunding my money. And now they are doing it again when trying to not refund tax on an item i didn't keep. You also can't reply to the company on here and I'm not putting my order info on a public site

I ordered a lovely dress in a size Medium but was unfortunately sent a size Small. I wasn’t able to try it on because of this. The design of the dress looked cool on the model so I’m bummed as it was supposed to be for an event that has passed already. I will say the dress looked pretty sheer so I don’t know what kind of undergarments one would have to wear. I think for the price, a thicker fabric that wasn’t sheer would be expected. The return portal wouldn’t let me return the dress for some reason but I reached out to the customer service team and they responded very quickly and were able to send me a return shipping label which I appreciated! Although I wasn’t so pleased with being sent the wrong size and the fabric quality, their designs are really pretty and their customer service was great. I think they need to improve the return portal to make it more user friendly and material quality should be improved for the price paid.

In terms of flattering— my leau mesh corsets are by far the most flattering pieces I own. Multiple friends of mine have asked for the link to purchase their own too. They're simple enough where they can be used for a variety of occasions (going out, grabbing drinks, etc.), and I sure have worn mine at least 4x a month. They also have the most snatching look without being too uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I cannot give the full 5 stars for a variety of reasons. One is that the sizing is incredibly variable, so ordering a different color of the same top might fit completely differently. The second is that I will only splurge on an item if I think it is quality. In under a year, the bottom of the corset broke completely (zipper came right off the end), when I was not even wearing it. They say they are "made to last," and provide instructions on how to properly care for their corsets. For me, >$100 is quite expensive for a top, so when my first one lasted under a year, and broke while I was unzipping it and it was not even on me, I was quite upset.

You know, I read these before purchasing, but ignored because I thought it couldn't be me. But it seems I'm now in the same position of having to reach out by writing this review. I ordered a month ahead of my engagement party trying to get a dress to wear. 2 weeks and theres no update. I email and there is no update up until now and its been a month of NO email or communication. It's so wrong as a business owner myself to have excommunication with your own customers. There is no phone line, so you can't call. Anyway, be warned, you place an order and it may not come even when they say it is in stock and standard shipping takes 5 days. If someone from Leau wants to make this right, my order # is 64174. I asked MULTIPLE times to cancel my order and NOT ship my order weeks after it has been placed and not shipped. **UPDATED REVIEW: 02/19/25)** The Leau team has reached out to me and we have resolved everything needed on their end. They were quite responsive and helpful in getting a refund. I appreciate the turnaround this time. Overall, I just wished the customer service was better from the start but the resolution ended positively.
