Doesn’t want to refund since I’m…
Doesn’t want to refund since I’m unhappy with the quality. I returned the dress in perfect condition and nothing was wrong with it. They only wanted to offer store credit, but I don’t even want to support a business like this that is super scammy

Hi,
We're truly sorry to hear that you had such a disappointing experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
To clarify, our return policy is always available to view on our website, including during the checkout process. Discount codes are clearly shared across our marketing collateral, and any order placed with a code is eligible for exchange or store credit, as stated in our policy.
That said, we understand how things don’t always work out and need to be returned. We’re always looking for ways to improve both our policies and customer experience, and we’ve already passed your feedback along to our team.
We would love the opportunity to resolve this with you directly if you can please share you’re details so our team can look into this for you!
Best,
LEAU

ABSOLUTELY LISTEN TO OTHE REVIEWS
ABSOLUTELY LISTEN TO OTHE REVIEWS! This company is scammy and does not care about customers.
I read their policy and discovered if you use a discount code you forfeit the option of a refund. I am a bride to be, and my plan was always to order 2 dresses with the intent of only keeping 1 and sending it back for a full refund.
At check out, they automatically applied the discount code and I caught it right as I clicked pay. IMMEDIATELY after I emailed them explaining the situation and asked if they could please cancel the order so I could order again – this time without the code.
They promptly told me they could not as my order was already shipped out. HUH?? It’s been 1 minute??? After a few back-and-forth emails, the owner of the company chimed in and confirmed her team LIED and my items were not shipped out yet but she is more than happy to send out 1 of the dresses I ordered as a courtesy. The opposite of what I asked for.
I then asked if it was possible to just cancel the order for the second dress and was ignored. No emails, nothing for 3 weeks. So I filed a chargeback on my card. The next day I got an email the dress was shipped.
This company and its owner is SHADY AND SCAMMY. They just want your money.

Hi Alexandra,
We’re truly sorry to hear you were disappointed with your most recent experience with us.
As a small business, we aim to fulfill orders within 24–48 business hours, and our warehouse begins processing almost immediately after an order is placed. Because of this, we’re often unable to accommodate cancellations once fulfillment is underway. We completely understand that many customers, like yourself, order with special occasions in mind, which is why we prioritize fast processing and shipping sometimes as soon as an order is placed.
That said, we genuinely wanted to be flexible and supportive during such a meaningful time. Our team offered to split your order so one of the dresses could arrive sooner and hopefully be a part of your special day. We’re truly sorry to hear this caused more frustration than ease, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Unfortunately, once a chargeback is initiated through your bank, our system locks the transaction while the financial institution conducts its review. During that process, we’re unable to make any changes or issue refunds, as the order is frozen until the bank concludes its investigation.
We’d still love the opportunity to resolve this directly with you - if you could please share your order number and we’d be happy to follow up directly with you.
Best,
LEAU

Missing item, REFUSING to refund
I made an order in December. When it was delivered in January, there was a missing item. I reached out and was told to be patient due to the LA Fires. I reached out again in February and was told the same. As a result, it has now been almost 8 months of no resolution. I was unable to do a chargeback with my bank because I chose to be empathetic during the LA Fires (my family was ALSO affected by the LA Fires). Absolutely shameful to weaponize a disaster against customers. Now after tagging the founder and her friends on social media, I have finally gotten a response, but they’ve restricted my account so no one can see their horrible practices. It’s honestly embarrassing. They still won’t refund me. First they said refunds can only be completed within ten days, now it’s only within 6 months. How is it my fault I can’t get a refund when you did not respond? The worst part is that it’s give or take $120. For a company, this amount is nothing. If I don’t receive a refund, I will look into pursuing legal action. It’s petty and embarrassing for an LLC to penny pinch over $120 and at this point I’m beyond frustrated and appalled at the lack of care and professionalism. I’m filing a complaint with BBB, FTC, and pursuing all avenues. This is absolutely ridiculous and shameful. ESPECIALLY, because they weaponized the LA Fires.
In response to LEAU’s reply:
Your response indicated YOU would follow up with me. It is not my responsibility as a customer to remind your customer service to follow up. This is negligence on your part. I can’t believe you’re gaslighting a customer to send you reminders to run your business. It is YOUR responsibility to answer emails. Your team provided an automated response about being affected by the LA Fires. My friends and family were affected too. I gave you the grace and now I can’t chargeback with my bank. That sounds like you did that on purpose to avoid refunding me.
In June, Taylor said she couldn’t provide a refund because it was outside of the 14 day window, you are now claiming it is 6 months. If it was 6 months why was I not given a refund in June? Secondly, I am admitting to receiving two items, but missing one. If I wanted to scam you and lie, I’d say I lost the whole package. I can’t believe LEAU is fighting over $110+/- dollars with a customer. It has been almost 8 months. This is ridiculous.
Lastly, Shopify uses Stripe and fully has the capability of creating an invoice to pay customers directly. They don’t care how you do it, whether through ACH, Zelle. Etc. I know this. It’s a complete lie that you cannot manually refund me via Stripe and Shopify and you should be ashamed. Whether you want to own it or not, you are weaponizing the LA Fires because you’re pretending to have responded during those difficult times and telling me, someone also affected, that I should’ve reminded you to respond when your message said you’d follow up. And only now that I’ve been public about my lack of support are you making any attempt to respond. That is weaponizing and you’re lying by saying you’re unable to refund and pretending to be nice by giving store credit. I don’t need more store credit beyond what I purchased. I need my exact refund immediately and I don’t care if you have to manually create an invoice for it. Take ownership for what you did wrong.
I do not want store credit. You’re not doing me a favor by avoiding giving me my money back for a product you didn’t deliver and after ignoring me for almost 8 months. Asking for a packing slip almost 8 months later and making it my fault is obscene. And your account and your founder restricting me on social media so that others can’t see your poor business practices is outrageous. There’s no accountability. Given that you’re supposedly making 10 million in revenue, it should be of little consequence for you to refund $110 to a customer who already spent money on other items
Response from LEAUJul 19, 2025
Dear Karrie,
We’re truly sorry this experience has been incredibly frustrating. We take your concerns seriously and want to offer full transparency regarding the situation.
Your original message about the missing item was received in January, and our team responded directly. At that time, we also noted that our Los Angeles operations were experiencing delays due to the local wildfires. This was shared to provide context around fulfillment and communication timelines, not as an excuse. We would never weaponize a natural disaster, and we’re disheartened to see that assumption. Several members of our team and their families were directly affected, and we aimed to communicate with honesty and respect during a difficult period.
After that initial communication, we did not receive any additional outreach from you between February and June. When you followed up five months later, we responded promptly through our verified customer service channel to help resolve the issue.
At that point, you let us know the original packing slip was no longer available. This document serves as the final checkpoint for verifying the contents of each package before it leaves our warehouse. Without it, we are unable to validate the claim using our standard missing item protocol. It’s also important to note that shipping insurance was declined at checkout, which further limited our ability to investigate or cover the claim through an insured resolution.
Additionally, the order was placed in December and is now past the six-month refund window enforced by our payment processor, Shopify. This is not a LEAU-specific policy and can be confirmed directly through Shopify’s documentation.
That said, in good faith and beyond what our policy typically allows, we issued store credit for the full value of the item at its regular price ($110), even though it was originally purchased with a 20% discount. The credit does not expire and can be used on any item in the shop, including to repurchase the original item without needing to wait for another promotion.
As a small, independently owned business, we remain committed to transparency and doing our best to support all of our customers. While we understand if you choose not to shop with us again, we attempted to resolve this with you directly and outside all of our established policies and protocols.
If you’d like to discuss anything further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected], we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation.
Best,
LEAU

DO NOT ORDER HERE
This company is 1000% scammy. I got an ad for their shop on Instagram, clicked the link & after reading the return policy, I placed an order (I am shopping for my wedding events & ordered several things from lots of shops to try). Long story short, the clothing did not work for me, and since my order auto-generated a welcome discount code *that I did not apply*, they now won’t give me a refund. Disputing that sh*t. The price point being higher gives a complete false sense of confidence. Such a scam. Listen to the negative reviews.
**Edited to add: I opened a dispute with PayPal and got my money back. I did go thru the motions with a “store credit” in order to get the merchandise back to them. Order at your own risk.

TERRIBLE quality AND TERRIBLE service
TERRIBLE quality AND TERRIBLE service. I ordered a dress that was faulty and I am not able to return it?? How is this legal? I am being punished for quality control that I cannot control. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE the quality is terrible.. giving shein and the service is worse.. Please read all the negative reviews and believe them. This is so unethical and a complete scam. It’s not made clear on any emails. Will not be purchasing from this brand again. I am being punished for a faulty item... very disappointed! Also the package originally said it would ship in a week and it took almost a month because the item went on pre order... I was not home when this arrived so unable to wait for the 2 day (unrealistic) policy to submit photos.... Please save your money and do not buy from this brand. There are so many options to buy from a trusty, realizable and ethical small business.

Hi Laura,
We’re so sorry to hear about your experience and genuinely appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
If you received a faulty item, we completely understand the frustration. We do have a product warranty in place for any quality issues reported within 2 days of delivery, and we take those concerns seriously. We’re always happy to assist with replacements for items that arrive damaged or defective.
For returns of regular items (not including defective reported within our policy mentioned above) we do our best to communicate our return policy clearly on product pages, at checkout, and in our FAQ.
That said, we never want a customer to feel unsupported. Please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected], we’d love the chance to make this right for you.
Best,
LEAU

Re: Feedback on My Recent Experience
RESPONSE TO LEAU:
Thanks for your response.
I want to clarify that my frustration isn’t about your policy existing — it’s about how it’s communicated. The welcome code is marketed as a perk for first-time shoppers, but it quietly locks you out of refunds. That’s not disclosed clearly enough during checkout, and it's not reasonable to expect new customers to dig through fine print to understand that the “welcome” offer comes with a catch.
You mention that reviews aren’t filtered, but I received no confirmation, and my one-star review was never published. I’ve since submitted it again through your website — and once again, it has not been published. If this is a recurring “technical issue,” it raises serious concerns about how customer feedback is being handled.
Lastly, offering only store credit or exchanges when the smallest size doesn’t fit is not a solution — it’s a dead end. Policies aside, that kind of rigidity leaves customers with no meaningful path forward.
To try to meet you halfway, I agreed to use your “Shop Now” feature — only to be told by your customer service team that it isn’t currently working, with no timeline for when it will be. That’s not a functional solution. It’s unreasonable to expect customers to wait indefinitely for a feature you’ve positioned as the alternative to a refund. Being asked to accept a non-working system as the final step in resolving a failed order isn’t just frustrating — it’s dismissive.
At this point, I’m asking again for a full refund. Your policies are restrictive, your proposed alternatives are non-functional, and the customer is left shouldering the consequences of all of it. That is not how a customer-first brand operates.

The WORST service I’ve ever received. They throw discount codes down your throat - from Welcome codes, to Cart10, to a Google codes when you search the brand - then REFUSE refunds when used. This is so unethical and a complete scam. It’s not made clear on any emails, I have many screenshots. They originally replied to my email saying I was entitled to a refund (AI) and then changed their minds a couple days later. Thankfully there’s enough evidence to contact my bank for a refund but, to LEAU - consider creating community rather than scamming. And making the quality of your clothes better. Put that on Forbes.

Dear Holly,
We're truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations. At LEAU, we care deeply about providing a positive experience and always aim to communicate our policies as clearly as possible.
To clarify, our return policy, which is linked in our website footer and displayed at checkout, states that orders placed using a discount code are eligible for store credit or exchange only. We also do our best to note this in confirmation emails and other marketing materials. That said, we understand how frustrating it can feel when the outcome doesn't align with what you were hoping for, and we’re genuinely sorry for any confusion caused along the way.
Every message is reviewed and responded to by a real person. We’re a small, woman-owned and family-run brand doing our best to grow while offering quality pieces and thoughtful customer support. We've only been around for a few years and remain committed to evolving and improving wherever we can.
We appreciate your feedback and take it seriously. If you’d like to reconnect with our team to revisit the situation, please feel free to reach out to us directly at [email protected].
Best,
LEAU
