La-Z-BoyReviews of lazyboy.com

We are on our 3rd replacement sofa now and the same thing is happening. The top coating of leather is peeling away. This is surposed to be the top of the range over £3000 what a disappointment its absolute rubbish cheep Chinese crap. We are so fed up with it all and the way scs deal with it. Don't waste your time and hard earned money on this cheep rubbish furniture

Allow me to give you some feedback perspective. I was diagnosed with a terminal illness. In trying to make life as easy and comfortable I decided to replace my existing lazy boy couch, chair and ottoman with the most expensive single purchase I’ve ever made. So I picked out and customized the perfect duo reclining sectional. Great. I waited the weeks in anticipation of my vision of perfection. It arrives and the delivery guys are very nice but proceed to bang up and gouge my door trim trying to get it in. Had they simply taken off the legs(which the eventually did) it would have been very easy. I even offered to have them bring it in through the back patio door which is wider but they didn’t want to carry it that far. It gets in and looks great. I overlook the damage and move on to enjoy my costly purchase. Things were great for two and a half weeks and the third time I lifted the foot rest it breaks and won’t move. So I call and get an appointment for two long weeks later. I have to wait almost as long as I’ve owned the sectional just to get a repair man. I wait and he shows up and is very nice and professional. But why in the world would you show up to fix a couch that you know the model and know the problem but bring nothing to fix it. Even I know it can only be a few things that could have gone wrong. Now I’m waiting on parts to come to my house and then I have to call again to set up an appointment that I will have to wait another wait time to get someone back to my house. If you order the parts and you know where they are coming from why am I the one to track and follow up? Why isn’t the part coming to you and you know it’s there first and you know to call me and set up time immediately? So now many times I’m dealing with something that is not my fault but continues to be my problem. I can’t understand why the two parts he ordered were not in his car. You had two weeks to prepare. This is inexcusable and emotionally hurtful. It sure feels like this is intentional and not customer focused at all.

Been in contact with La Z Boy (The so called manufacturer) of a reclining sofa and chair in Feb 2018 from SCS for £2600,the quality and finish of the Upholstery is certainly nothing like the quality you would expect at this price. After many emails and calls to SCS customer fob off team and a referral to the useless Retail ADR Service that just take the word of SCS,they do not ask for ant Test reports or QC standards from either SCS or La Z Boy,I have asked for them but never receive anything,I suspect neither of these Companies have any test reports or QC standards as the products look as if they are produced in some backstreet workshop. Poor foam or fillings that do not recover after light use, poor matching and filling (My car upholstery is 500% better made) I suspect that SCS are making about 300 % margin and La Z Boy cut quality and standards to meet ruthless hard sell (Poor service) SCS buying prices. The Furniture is shoddy and no way value for money or up to the so called SCS/La Z Boy quality (Hard sell poor Service and quality in partnership with a useless so called customer Dispute body (Retail ADR) who ask for no Tests or QC standards. Would not recommend either Company to anyone, like something from a past culture of lets flog rubbish at a high price and then run away from any customer complaints !

Bought a LA-Z-BOY AVA 3 SEATER POWER RECLINER SOFA IN LEATHER from AHF in Keighley some 5 months ago. It arrived as promised about 6/7 weeks ago. After only 4 weeks it was starting to show signs of sagging and wear. The seat where I usually sit is sagging (I think it is because of the low quality soft foam used in the product) and the leather is beginning to stretch. I am not a heavy person, weighing some 11.5 stones, and I am not sat on the sofa all the while. Given that the sales people told me that I was buying a high quality durable sofa, the price of the item (£1700.00) and the fact that I have not yet had it for 2 months it is a disgrace. If it is looking like this now one can only imagine what it will be looking like in 12 months. I have been in touch with AHF where I bought it from who sent a representative out to assess the sofa. Have just received a reply from AHF stating that the furniture is free of defects. Not how I see it. How I wish I had spent more time reviewing La-Z-Boy's reputation and quality on the internet and not relying on the sales pitch of the sellers. Just please read reviews on this and other sites before you make a purchase of a La-Z-Boy product, save yourself an headache.

I purchased a Lazy Boy Recliner as my husband was in the hospital having just had heart bypass surgery and need something that reclined to sit/sleep in once he got home. I was encouraged to purchase the ultra shield warranty so if there where any stains or rips in the funiture they would fix it. I have never purchased a warranty on furniture before, but due to the situation, I thought it was good idea. Less than 2 years later the recliner had a hole in the material. I call Ultra Shield and left a message. They called me back the next day at 5:43 am and left a message. I called the next 2 days and finally received a call back during normal business hours. They told me to e-mail pictures and the original receipt. I did that very day. They never responded. I resent it 2 more times, no reponse. I called them over 2 weeks after sending the 1st e-mail. They told me I was denied as it was normal wear and tear. Ultra Shield Warranties are a complete rip off and Lazy Boy should be ashamed to use them. For that matter I will never buy another Lazy Boy product again either. Way to expensive for a shoddy product. Please convince me that I am wrong.

Bought a 2 seat sofa in leather with electric recline 16 months ago. Had an issue with the stuffing in the seat cushion which had rucked up and made it uncomfortable to sit on. Sent photos to Castelan who did not want to know. What is the point of paying £100 for insurance when all they do is refuse to stand over their products. My other 15 year old leather sofa which was half the price is still perfect. Don't buy this sub standard rubbish.

Bought a LaZyBoy two seater reclining sofa 18 months ago. After we had had it just over 12 months, we noticed that the seat on one side had dipped so that when you sit down, you fall into the corner. The arm on the same side appears to have a lack of padding. The foot rests when down are not level. Clearly, this due to poor quality and workmanship. We contacted Castellan the insurers who sent a so-called expert to investigate. He took a few photos and concluded that the problem was due to wear and tear. We challenged Castellan’s verdict almost 3 months ago and have heard nothing. We invited SCS to visit and paid £60.00 for the pleasure. Their so-called expert took photos and also decided the cause was wear and tear. We said we did not agree. We were told to expect a response within 2 weeks. We are still waiting after 4!! A sofa should last for years before wear and tear affects it. If it is wear and tear, which we dispute, why is only one side affected? We have a 16 year old sofa which has been used in exactly the same way and that is in perfect condition. The reason that the LaZyBoy sofa has deteriorated is that it is not fit for purpose. It has been made by an amateur using poor quality components. DO NOT BUY A LAZYBOY PRODUCT OR ANYTHING FROM SCS? The quality is poor and neither the retailer nor the manufacturer want to know once they have had your money.

This companies products should Be half the price, it is now manufactured in China, the quality is not even a quarter it use to be, my main 3 seater electric recliner has been welded to an uneven standard(the floor is level), the two seater stitching is completely out by an inch compared to the seat next to it, i also had to repair the connections as the USBs didn't work
