We purchased the Cade reclining sofa in May 2026 and it was delivered in late June. The in-store service was good. Ileana was pleasant and didn’t pressure us. We thought we chose a high quality product….wrong. This sofa has been terrible from day one. The reclining seats are very uncomfortable almost as if there isn’t proper cushioning in them, the fabric has already started pilling and has a pull and the foot rest mechanism feels very flimsy. Also the cushioning on the lower section already has depressions in the cushioning. We have serious regrets about spending over $3000 on this piece. We reached out earlier about our concerns and someone from customer care left a message. Never able to get in touch with this person and there was no follow up on their end. We always thought La-Z-Boy was a quality brand but this experience has shown us that isn’t true. Would NEVER recommend to friends or family.

Utter junk and no response to my claim for a stained back on my sofa even though it was under warranty- utter waste of money! As instructed I went back to the shop I bought it from for them to refer my complaint - never heard anything more.

I ordered a manual recliner, took 6 weeks to get. After a week I noticed when reclining something was rubbing. After contacting customer service and scheduling a repair person, that took 3 weeks. The 3rd party repair person was only a parts changer, knew nothing about troubleshooting. Ended up getting another recliner, that was in stock, and was told, this chair is upgraded with some type of firm cushions. Well this recliner was so uncomfortable, I didn’t want, ended up being a discontinued upgrade that nobody wanted. So I went with a power recliner that much more costly and in stock. Started noticing fabric lint on my rug, and thought maybe it was just because it was new. No, it kept shedding, plus something in the back was loose. Like it was coming apart, plus the power lumbar seem to be all the out from the start. This has been 8 months of this. Their finally are giving me a refund, like I had ask for on the first recliner. Now I’m getting the run around with my refund, it’s like they have no clue what to do or they just don’t care since it’s a refund. I will never buy another La-z-boy ever. I bought a Frex-steel, so far so good, much better built than lazboy.

I would like to let you know what fantastic customer service I experienced from Ash when we were faced with a fault in my mother’s remote control for her Harbour Town chair lifter, which she bought several years ago from La-Z-Boy in Lower Hutt. When the remote control started working only intermittently, it became a real safety concern for everyone. As soon as I received the call from the village, I contacted La-Z-Boy and explained the situation to Ash. Ash was incredibly helpful. We really appreciated his friendly, professional, reassuring, and above-and-beyond service. He listened carefully, offered practical solutions, and made the whole process easy and stress-free at a time when we were very concerned. I would happily recommend Ash from La-Z-Boy to others, and I will definitely return in the future.

bought a 3 piece L/R set and it is just plain JUNK, the sofa and love seat are so UNCOMFORTABLE that after 10 minutes I have to get up because my back hurts so much, also when they where going throught he mfg. process they did not pull the fabric tight enough causing WRINKLES...I can't believe after all the NEG reviews this co. is still in business, I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureu, and will ask all my friends, family and neighbors to also contact the BBB, also going to take out an add in local newspaper and tell the world what a CRAPPY PLACE this business is...Have already talked to the editor of several different Newspapers...They should change there name to LOUSY BOY

I originally went in because I wanted an office chair and due to them moving location they didn't have any. But was told to look around. I found a painting I liked and went to the cashier to buy it. She came up pissed off and said it was too late to purchase anything and she didn't want to run it. I was then escorted out while there were other people still in the store. It was 5:52 pm they closed at 6. I had cash/card ready. Honestly I am grateful to have this experience as it warns me to not do business with them in the future. Please spend your time shopping elsewhere, where they actually want your business.

Bought a sectional that was on "clearance" we were told ot was being discontinued so we should buy more pieces now if we wanted them. We purchased an extra piece and were told it would come with the order. I called the next day and added another console again were told no problem it will come with your delivery. Delivery day arrives and only the original sectional. The drivers had no idea and barley spoke English they were nice and did a good job but weren't helpful so no solution there. Called the store and got someone who has only been there 5 days but will have the manager call me back. No call back. The next day we go to the store and are treated like yesterday's garbage. Sorry Im busy with a customer but your pieces are being built and will be 6-8 weeks what? Lies so it isn't discontinued and wasn't delivered as promised. We canceled the order and again no apologies just treated like we did something wrong. Wasted our time going there. Terrible customer service and treatment you like crap after the sale is made. And they are busy screwing other people over and dont have time to resolve an issue they made. Said he thought he told us it would build biggest lie. Bad business practice lies to get you to buy. Thumbs down to the silverdale branch Jayden and the manager dont remember his name but je knows who he is.

Our sales person was very nice. The issue was we were trying to buy recliners to match the rest of our lazy boy furniture. The designer recommended a custom made leather. We went with it but when we received the chairs and they totally clashed. Sent pictures to sales manager and she thought we could pull it together with a new rug and accessories. I was not asking for my money back but instead of spending more, I was hoping to get chairs in a leather color that did not clash with the current furniture. No resolution was given. I will never buy or recommend lazy boy again. Note -make sure the designer come to your house. Waiting for a call on a cut in the leather that is not even 24 hours old. Totally dissatisfied customer.
