La-Z-BoyReviews of lazyboy.com

I purchased a La~Z~Boy Recliner for £1.300 pounds from Right Price Carpets.I took delivery in October 2019.Now 3 months later i have excruciating back pain.L am looking into if and how i can get my money back.Iwas advised this was the best to buy but NEVER AGAIN.

Why did we not see these reviews before we bought a "Lazyboy" from SCS Leicester??? Delivered 04/09/17 £3,300 paid A Tamla 4 seater corner suite with end electric recliners and a single electric recliner in fabric. After just 4 months (January 2018) we contacted SCS and eventually had a visit from an "expert" because the cushions had collapsed on the two sofa recliner seats! However he stated this "softening" is acceptable and is normal in today's standards and it would settle down. Well it certainly has settled down, right onto the frame! It cannot go any further. Since this we have contacted Lazyboy (15/2/18) who have said "nothing to do with them go back to SCS and request another visit / review and send to Lazyboy". I did this on the same day and "Sophie" from the SCS service department said they would arrange another call? During this time we returned to the store where we bought the furniture from and they were not interested whatsoever and just referred us to the service dept. Maybe we should arrange a sit-in at the stores to help others from making a huge mistake and purchasing from SCS or a Lazyboy? SCS don't want to know as they say they have sent their expert once and he stated it is okay? We wrote to them (SCS - 15/3/18) and said we did not agree with the findings and the discussion with Lazyboy. We have not received any response and they have never contacted us regarding a second visit!!! It is not okay, there is no support in the seat cushions and you can feel the frame on your bottom when you sit down? We have to sit on a cushion to use the seats without being very uncomfortable. Before you ask no we are not overweight people. We now have to warn visitors before they sit on the seats. SCS don't care / Lazyboy don't care; how do we progress this? We are now outside the 12 months soft furnishings warranty, although we made the initial complaints well before, which was not explained during the purchase. They major in the sales patter of the 10 year warranty which if course is useless because that if for the frame / structure of the furniture and if the upholstery gives up well before then then it doesn't matter how long the frame lasts! We cannot afford to buy a new suite but as the suite is no longer serviceable and we may have to? Any suggestions and or help welcomed? Should we start a Watchdog campaign and see if they would pick this up?

Wish I'd read all these reviews before I bought our recliner.in under a year the seat has collapsed and even though we complained in store (where we bought a chair and a 3 seater) we were ignored.the insurance isn't interested so now we have a 1k chair that is useless.won't be buying another and will comment on any site I can to slate them

I am SO impressed with the responses from La-z-boy customer service regarding repair of our recliner! Our local retail store helped look up our original receipt and warranty for me, aided in calling the repair service, and even the 3rd party service utilized has been on top of everything! Communications have been timely and spot on, and we are now scheduled for the repair this next week. I applaud all personnel involved, and appreciate the timely and professional handling of this warranty repair!

We purchased a three piece suite from local furniture shop In Carlisle nearly £5000 in total. Had it for 6 months then had a problem with marks on leather. A year and three visits later from La-Z-Boy repair contractors, Homeserve, we have just agreed with retailer a full replacement, not a La-Z-Boy. Useless company living on past reputation. We have two 20 y.o. La-Z-Boy manual recliners which are still great. Such a shame, cheap Chinese production, little quality control. Then they use a rubbish contractor to undertake warrantee issues! Great recipe to go bust!! Thank goodness we purchased from a local reputable retailer who have come up trumps for us. Tip, used credit card to purchase so section 75 consumer legislation can be used if required. Don,t forget that it is the retailer who your contract is with not the manufacturer!

Well after I reviewed last time. Lazy Boy customer services have been in touch. Told me they don't do the colour anymore, so cant replace faulty parts. So went down to SCS same colour is available, checked with lazyboy direct, pretending be a customer after the colour of my sofa, for a sofa in store and hey presto they do it not a problem. Total Liars !!! Contacted lazyboy customer services telling them colour available, they said they will get back in touch, still heard nothing, nearly another month gone by .This has been going on since March 2019 since their homeserve technician came out, reported fault months before that, so nearly a year gone by and still none the wiser. :(

Thank goodness I’ve just had the sense to read the reviews before wasting my very hard earned money on a leather la z boy, The man in SCS today was doing a 1st class sales pitch on me. So happy I escaped without any money exchanging hands, such a shame as the sofa was exactly what I was looking for and really comfortable, not taking any chances now😩

We bought a reclining settee and chair a few years ago, spending the extra money (£3,500) in the hope of a long lasting product. Within a year one recliner had broken. Luckily this was replaced as it was just under a year old. Now the leather is peeling (we paid for the best grade leather) and one of the seat springs can be felt when you sit down. On contacting La-z-boy, quoting the warranty which specifically states springs are covered, we have been told that ‘actually those spring aren’t covered, it’s the other springs in the frame that are covered, sorry you’ll have to pay £50 for someone to look at it’! Shockingly bad customer service, and even more shockingly bad quality product. Would never ever buy from this company again.
