Pleasantly surprised with Laurel Road. I had previously refinanced one of my kids student loans with Sofi and while that experience was fine. When it came time to refinance my 2nd kids loans I applied at both Laurel Road and SOFI and was very pleased at how quickly they process our application and how much they were willing to negotiate terms. Our loan was for private school Graduate Plus loans totally over 6 figures so the interest rate offered was a big component of my evaluation. Not only did they match other competitor's offers they beat them and as such I select Laurel Road and we closed in less than 15 days. I wholeheartedly recommend Laurel Road. Laurel Road help me refinance a loan from a big bank where the interest rate was outrageous. The process to apply was easy and the format of the application was modern and easy to understand. I also liked how after 36 on-time payments your co-signer can get off the loan which makes it less daunting. Anytime I called customer service, they were polite and answered my questions fully. This was my first experience trying to consolidate loans that was user-friendly and successful. I ended up consolidating my loan that had a higher interest rate, and I didn't consolidate the one that couldn't be matched. Very happy with the experience!
