Information for the referral program was confusing and pathetic on purpose to avoid paying a referral fee.

I was previously with Navient and had a horrific experience. I was never paying off any principle and the customer service was atrocious. I finally decided to refinance and found Laurel Road through the Student Loan Sherpa. The application was super easy and everything was done and approved in a day. The terms were reasonable and every month I actually pay some of my loan down - which I never was with Navient's outrageous terms. I get a discount for doing automatic payments and I don't have to think about it anymore. The best decision I've made regarding my student loans.
