Treats You Like An Idiot
I was forced to sign up for this “coaching” for insurance coverage for GLP-1 med. It treats you like an idiot. Today, it showed me a nutrition label that shows a 1/2 cup is a serving and said “woohoo” when I answered its question about serving size correctly. Other highlights of the 6 weeks have been telling me that French fried are a fried food and that I should eat an apple instead of a donut for a “healthy snack.” Most people who are on GLP meds have been on diets most of their lives. The coaching (which is AI nonsense) is infantilizing. You can’t actually respond to it - just select what it tells you. It conforms to all the worst diet advice, like “good” food/“bad” food. It’s as if no one involved in its development ever had a weight problem and believes that people only get fat because they are stupid and lazy. They should learn what science is now telling us about weight management instead of perpetuating useless stereotypes.
