Lark is HORRIBLE!! You cant customize any responses nor can you tell it to stop asking dumb questions. I only use it because my insurance is paying for it. I would never ever ever recommend

Hi Angie, thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience, and we're sorry it's been a frustrating one. We're in the process of rebuilding Lark from the ground up and are excited about what's coming later this year. We'd love the chance to earn back your confidence when the new version launches.

The app is just terrible in general.
The app is just terrible in general.
Meal logging is literally just you typing in a name. It then decides a calorie count on the ingredient you entered without asking how much you actually used. The only real adjustment is number of servings. There is some sort of correction mechanism but it's confusing as heck. Entering any sort of multi-ingredient recipe could easily take up several minutes of time, assuming you don't try to correct any of it.
The AI 'Coach' doesn't allow you to actually ask it questions- You can enter data (like food or exercise) but the food part is very poorly-designed and I haven't even gotten to the exercise part.
It seems as if it COULD be a useful tool but not with how it's currently designed. Seriously, it's REALLY bad.
There isn't really much in the sense of instructions for it, either.
I just started trying to use the app today for the first time and I hate it. Weight Watchers, by comparison, has a MUCH more usable (and useful) app.

Hi James, thanks for the feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that meal logging has been such a frustrating first experience.
You're right that the current design estimates calories based on the information provide, and we appreciate your comment about the correction flow for fixing entries not being intuitive. That's valuable feedback, especially for multi-ingredient meals where it adds up to real time lost. We've heard similar comments about the AI Coach only supporting data entry rather than open questions, and about the lack of clear in-app instructions for getting started.
The good news is we're releasing a major update to the Lark platform within the next few months, redesigned with a more intuitive interface, including improvements to food and activity logging. We hope you'll give it another look once that's live, and appreciate you flagging this so early in your experience with us.

Its not user friendly and tech support is impossible to access. DUD!
The Lark App helped me increase my cardio activity but the app is difficult to use, it's almost impossible to get help with the app, you can't correct errors, and the canned AI responses are marginally helpful and uninspiring.
I never was accepted into the face book page despite trying to join several times.
This one is a dud would not recommend it at all.
Response from Lark HealthAug 5, 2026
Hi Tracey, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and congratulations on increasing your cardio activity! That's exactly the kind of lifestyle changes we want Lark to support. I'm sorry to hear the app itself made that progress harder than it should have been.
On the tech support side, that's valuable feedback and we've shared it with our support team. More details around what you found difficult to access would be very helpful in our efforts to improve! Regarding the inability to correct errors, this is something we're actively working to address.
On the canned AI Coach responses, I hear you. The current design limits replies to a set of pre-written options so the Coach can move efficiently through the program's educational content, but we understand that can feel impersonal or unhelpful when you're looking for more specific guidance. We've heard similar feedback from other members and are exploring ways to make those interactions feel less generic.
I'm also sorry about the trouble joining our Facebook community. That group is meant to be a source of support and connection, and it shouldn't be difficult to get in. I'd encourage you to reach out to support directly with the email you used to request access so we can look into what's happening on our end.
Last, I wanted to share some good news: we're releasing a major update to the Lark platform within the next few months, redesigned from the ground up with a more intuitive interface and improvements across many of the areas you mentioned. We hope you'll give the updated version a try once it's available, and we wish you continued success with your health goals in the meantime!

This app is useless
This app is useless. The AI "Coach" does not allow you to respond in your own words. The Coach sends a message (text-style), and then there are canned responses you have to choose from. These aren't always the best responses, but you'll need to choose one to continue.
There is no real food log that would show you calories and nutrients. You tell the Coach what you ate, and it tells you if it was a good choice or not.
And the free scale is just that, a scale only. The scale I already had, gives way more info, like BMI, water, bone, etc. Very disappointed, but glad it was not something I had to pay for.

Hi Suzy, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with Lark, and I'll be happy to share some additional context around Lark's design! In terms of the responses to your coach, by limiting responses to simple affirmations and the input of basic data (food logging, weight data, sleep time, etc), we're able to keep the coach moving quickly through the relevant educational materials of the program. While there isn't currently an option for free text with your coach regarding the mission content, we have been exploring options for introducing free text in some specific areas of the platform, such as food logging. On the subject of the food log, we've received a lot of feedback on this feature, and will be releasing some enhancements as part of a major app update scheduled to launch within the next few months. Last, when it comes to the scale included with the program, the main purpose is to have a device that communicates directly and seamlessly with your Lark account to help you stay on top of your weight trends, but we appreciate your feedback that you'd like to see a model with a more robust set of features. We're very excited to release that major update to the platform in the near future, and hope you enjoy the updated Lark once it's available!

Received my Fitbit but the app will not sync
Received my Fitbit but the app will not sync data from the Fitbit. Customer service keeps asking me to repeat steps already tried and are from outdated instructions from over 2 Years ago. i have sent "screen shots" showing the System menu is different from the one in the outdated tutorial. And they have asked me more then once to repeat the same steps over and over. Like they were reading from a script and not actually understanding the issue. I finally gave up interacting with "customer service" Hopefully this gets fixed.

Hi Paul, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I've reviewed your tickets and the screenshots that you've submitted, and can confirm that instructions you were provided are accurate, but the option for Activity Trackers that should be present for you is missing entirely. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we have documented this issue with our technical teams. However, I'm pleased to let you know that we will be releasing a new version of the Lark platform that's been redesigned from the ground up within the next few months. This updated version has an entirely new interface, and should resolve this issue for you. We look forward to releasing this updated version soon, and we wish you the best of health!

By far the worst app
By far the worst app. This company never improves anything. They just bend over backwards for anthem and thats about it.
Response from Lark HealthApr 20, 2026
Hi Gary, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with Lark. While we are constantly working on items like minor bug fixes and enhancements, we haven't made any major overhauls to the platform itself in some time. I'm very pleased to share that that's about to change, and we're in the final stages of testing a complete redesign of the platform that will include some significant improvements. Keep an eye out for the official release of the updated Lark app this summer! Thanks again for sharing your feedback, and we wish you the best of health.

Not yet up to snuff
It's a great concept but you will get more by chatting with any AI LLM. Just too many issues. For example, for the last two days I added activity (90 minutes on a treadmill and 90 minutes on a bike) and it will say I didn't do anything lol.
It can't get into specifics well. It will ask you what you had for a meal and when you give it data, it makes incorrect assumptions and the opportunity to fix its errors are subpar.
I feel it will get there but will take time. Yup ;-)
Response from Lark HealthMar 9, 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with Lark! We have received a fair amount of feedback on these points, and plan to release enhancements for both food logging and activity coaching in the future. We hope that you enjoy these enhancements once they're available later this year, and that it doesn't take us as long to get "there" as you may have initially thought! Thank you again for sharing your feedback, and we wish you the best of health.

Not fit for purpose
I have the app for hypertension. While I appreciate the company giving me a blood pressure cuff and scale, the app itself is pretty useless. I've been taking my blood pressure every day for a month, all the app does is tell me whether my blood pressure is within my normal range. I had to go to another app to learn that my range is between normal and hypertension 2. It has "daily" check-ins but the app rushes through them so you complete them in 3 or 4 days despite the app giving assignments like pay attention to your sodium today. The AI coach is pretty useless to, it checks your activity and food on opening, but if you try to do something else, like do a paired bp reading, it starts over as if you hadn't already discussed activity and food. The app is not ready for hypertension management.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Lark is designed to provide small portions of educational content daily over week-long educational segments called "Missions" to help members build sustainable habits over time. We realize that everyone’s pace is different and recently added the ability to complete more than one mission check-in in a single day, so we really appreciate your feedback on the pace of the coaching flow and will certainly share these insights with our product team as we continue to evolve. Additional improvements to the coach are also planned over this coming year, and we will look into the issue you report of the coach retreading ground that has already been covered. Thank you again for sharing your feedback, and we wish you the best of health.
