After three years of exposure to Scandinavian weather, the lock stopped working. However, Kryptonite shipped a replacement under their lifetime warranty! I can’t believe it happened since I thought lifetime warranties were just a marketing gimmick. I highly recommend them and hope they continue to provide good products and customer service.

Ich habe mir das Kryptonite NY Diamond nach mehreren YouTube‑Videos gekauft. Das Schloss selbst macht einen sehr robusten Eindruck; auch die Beschichtung am Bügelende und an der Querstrebe wirkt hochwertig. Was jedoch ein absoluter Witz ist: Der mitgelieferte Schlosshalter ist für ein 2‑kg‑Schloss völlig ungeeignet. Für ein so teures Schloss einen billigen Halter beizulegen, der mit einem Band und etwas Gummi befestigt werden soll, ist enttäuschend. Das Band franst bereits aus, und an nicht runden Rahmen lässt sich der Halter kaum sinnvoll montieren. Aus diesem Grund vergebe ich nur 3 von 5 Sternen und werde mich nach einer alternativen Halterung umsehen.
