Website is hot garbage
Store is fine. BUT the website is garbage! Slow and not user friendly. Paying off my card at the store because the website and app are so terrible. Then closing my account

Fraudulent Credit Card Change I was attempting to make an online purchase this morning and received a message that my Kohl's credit card number was no longer valid. I have been a card holder for 24+ years and have never had a late payment and rarely, if ever, had a balance that rolled forward. I was confused. I called the number on my Kohl's card and was asked for a 16-digit number, my number is only 12-digits, 1st clue. After surviving a frustrating phone tree, I spoke with someone who told me I should have received a new card from Capital One. I said I did not authorize this switch and did not receive a new card. He went right into "let's get you another card" mode. He began asking questions, none to invasive. I was still feeling confused since I thought I should have been asked to approve a new card and accept their terms... Eventually, he said that my husband and I would need to send them copies of our state issued I.D.'s! I said, "no thank you". I think Kohl's needs me more than I need them - I will just send them a good-bye review. This is no way to treat a long-standing customer. Over the years other retailers have made similar changes, so I do understand. The difference is the way the changes were managed. I was informed in advance, felt that I had a voice in the matter, and continued to feel valued as a customer. Kohls - I did not cancel my account and if making this change without my consent impacts my credit you will hear from me again.

I placed two orders within a week, and both orders were canceled for no apparent reasons. I would never recommend Kohl's to anyone.

Having similar issue to Alexandra, who rated a few days ago. Had a Kohl's card for years, basically for the coupons (that they raise prices for and pretend that you are getting 30% off retail, but it's more like 10%). Would pay off immediately after purchases because the interest rate is ridiculous. Well, they signed me up for the new Capital One account. If this happened to you - look at your credit score. Some people have taken a hit for a "closed account"/"new account", when they didn't give permission for this to occur. Seems like an incoming lawsuit to me, but I'm just a podunk, country bumpkin CPA. So, after a good hour, I've been able to shut down the Capital One account. Supposedly, but they "can't send a confirmation" (can't send an email but you know my SSN?). Capital One has been harassing through emails about signing up for paperless statements, go shop!, etc. for an account I NEVER wanted nor approved. Next, trying to shutdown all account information that is via the online account. THREE phone numbers and a chat...one resulted in "oh, my system has frozen", two of the three, "there is no account with that email". Well, I am signed into it, so, there sure as heck is! My hubby said, "Good! Glad you will not shop there anymore, after Christmas orders missing for two months, the hood employees at the local store"...see how the employees talk to people on reddit that just need help not forthcoming elsewhere..."FY customer, this is an employee thread". Well, yep, FMe, and hope you don't get unemployment when Private Equity or whatever creates more of a disaster out of Kohls.

Similar experience to others. I accidentally paid my Kohls charge twice in December, trying to get ahead of Christmas bills. Called Dec 19, 2024 asking for a refund of the double payment. Monthly calls and it is now three months later and have not received my refund.

Recently got the new kohl's card in the mail. I will be throwing in my fireplace. Who in there right mind would pay a 30% interest rate on their purchases. Kohl's- you have lost your minds. No thank you. On to another store. So dissappointed.

Unfortunately one of the worst online shopping experience I ever had. I apply for the credit card in order to get 40% discount on my 15 piece of vases. First of all they did not come together, Second most of them broken to small pieces (worse packaging ever) so I ordered another 12 of vases and still some of them came broken and I was not able to use them for the event I had. Third and the most important I was not able to get the 40% discount because of the bad service. I wish I can return them all. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

I have a Kohl's / Capital One credit card. The interest rate is way higher than my Capital One credit card. I called to get it lowered and they told me they did not have that option. I asked to speak to a supervisor and Angel put me on a perpetual hold but 17 minutes later someone came on the line. Why would I keep a silly card that is so much higher than all of my other credit cards? And when I looked further, my ex-husband from over 10 years ago was still on my account! I don't ever remember him ever being on my account in the first place. People, check your info and interest rates! Disappointed.
