Worst Customer Service EVER!
The worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with. I order over $165 worth of bedding from Kohls.com on July 13th, 2016 (6 items in total). This was supposed to be a birthday gift to myself. The first item shows up. Unfortunately it was not my item that was delivered. They packaged someone else’s item with their packing slip in a box that was labeled to ship to me. I contacted customer service right away. The customer service representative stated to me that he would open up a ticket to have someone look into this matter and that someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. The next morning instead of someone calling me and apologizing for the inconvenience of sending out the wrong item and to say let’s get your item shipped out to you. I received an email stating that your package was delivered. YES, I know the package was delivered, it just wasn’t my item. I don’t know why that was so hard for customer service to understand or if someone just didn’t take the time to read the notes regarding the package. Therefore I had to call back to customer service again to try and get this straighten out. The customer service representative that assisted me this time was very polite and understanding. She was able to assist me getting this item reordered and reshipped (which I did receive). Here’s the thing. The representative did state that is would take a few weeks to receive a refund on this item (again not my fault they shipped with wrong item). I still had to place a new order and pay for the item again. She did give me a discount for the inconvenience and shipped the item out for free. Okay, 7 days later I have finally received at least one of the items I ordered. Question is, where are the other 5 items I ordered? I received an email yesterday July 19th, 2016 that my ordered was delivered via Fedex/USPS. I was home yesterday and no packages where delivered. I waited until at least today July 20th to see if they would turn up with my daily mail, still nothing. I call customer service back (third time), to let them know that I didn’t receive my items. Again, instead of being apologetic and wanting to help get my items out to me; the representative stated they would open up an investigation into where the items are and that someone would contact me within 2-3 weeks. Really, 2-3 weeks? That’s how long it would take in order to issue me a refund on the items or get the items to me? The representative asked me if I would like to reorder the items again in the meantime while the investigation is taking place. What if I reorder the items and they get lost again? Then what? I am out another $150. So tell me, what I am supposed to do in the mean time? Wait? I mainly shop online and I have had situations like this occur with other retailers and they have always either reshipped the item out to me as soon as possible or have credited my account back within 24-48 hours. I guess I will have to stick with those other retailers. I will never shop at a Kohl’s and I will definitely never order again through Kohls.com. I loving shopping online, but this by far is the worst experience I have ever had. What saddens me the most, is it that I work in retail (high end) and I would never EVER do this to a customer. If a customer came in and said they didn’t received an item, I would reorder the items for free of charge and ship it to them ASAP, no questions asked. I’ll take their word. I have done this so many times in my profession. I want the customer leaving and feeling like they received top notch concierge service and that their business matters to us, because not only are they going to return and buy more; they are going to tell everyone else what an amazing experience they had.
