Hassle free return policy is a joke. I returned an item purchased for Xmas that was the wrong size - the correct size was not available at any stores within 50 miles. Was told I would receive a corporate refund check by mail. Check has still not come. Can’t reach anyone on the 800# given if the refund is not received within 7-10 days. It’s not been nearly three weeks later and the issue is still not resolved. Attempted the “chat” feature earlier this week since I can’t reach corporate and was assured my check would arrive the next day (14 business days later) checked the mail and to no surprise still no refund check.

Kohls.com corporate refund department …
Kohls.com corporate refund department is a SCAM. I placed two orders, and one order never arrived. When I contacted Kohls, they forced me to pay "full price" (three times higher than any other store) and told me that they would do a "post sale price adjustment" (which they never did). On a second order, I needed to exchange an item I bought online because it arrived damaged. Their return policy suggest you return to a store, which I did. The store directed me to then go back online to reorder. Here is the scam. When I contact the CS rep for the exchange they said, "No problem." First step was to reorder the item at its FULL PRICE ($349.99 for an XBOX that they were selling a week prior at $189), and I was charged TWICE AS MUCH, without the discount credits I initially had. Plus I lost my $40 in Kohls cash. I thought that was strange, but I complied. I placed the order online with the CS rep on hold and reorder the item online (at full $349.99 price) I came back on, gave the CS rep the order number.
He then placed me on hold, came back on and said it's complete, I was told that they adjusted it on their end as a credit for the funds will be sent back to my card. When I received my credit card bill, I was charged $489 for $140 worth of stuff, and lost all my Kohl's cash, and I was told that I would receive a $349 "Post Sale Adjustment Ticket" credited back to my card. (Which I still have never received).
They said I should see the credit within 7-10 days, however it was never done. It's been over 2+ months now, and I called back multiple times and was redirected to the corporate refund dept who NEVER answers the phone. I left my number at 9am on virtual hold for 7 1/2 hours, for a callback. They never returned my call. I've called over 40+ times, asking to speak to an American, and a supervisor (and they just hang up on me, or place me on hold for an hour, and then hang up on me).
I've called over 40+ times since then, and sat on hold for several hours at a time. I asked to speak with a manager, and was put on hold for over an hour, before they hung up on me. This has happened 30+ times. I've since read multiple reviews of this happening. They are trying to play the number game of how many people will eventually become frustrated and give up! I tried to return the merchandise back to the store for a refund, and they said I purchased it "online" and they said the current price is lower and offered me a $52 refund, or a $62 store credit on a $189 XBOX One S, that I paid over $349.99 online for! During the "refund", I took a $250 financial loss on the price that I paid online, and I also lost over $850 in Kohl's cash, and also took a $250 loss on the online purchase. It's been a nightmare. I never received any of my Kohl's cash back, for my other purchases, it's just a "Ponzi Scheme". I never received any of the $600+ worth of items that I purchased (with Kohls cash) that never arrived, and I was only given a $6 refund for my shipping (I was not even properly refunded or credited for the merchandise or the sales tax that I paid on the items that I never received). It has been a nightmare dealing with their customer support. The Kohls Cash is just a scam. I've lost well over $1,500 while shopping at Kohls this holiday season due to their "shady" business practices of not refunding orders, and forcing people to "pay twice" for items that never shipped or were not delivered. They say that they will "conduct an investigation" and 2+ months have gone by, and I've never been credited or refunded for the missing items, nor did I receive any of my Kohls cash, or real cash. Kohls is nothing but a scam.

extremely poor online customer service
i ordered a kitchen aid stand mixer for my son for Christmas and had it directly shipped to him. Incorrect item was shipped. He uses public transportation and cannot easily return such an item. After immediately contacting Kohls online customer service, they promised to send a pick up person to his address to assist with return and therefore credit. I had to repurchase the same item that day if I wanted delivery before his christmas travel. It is now over a month later and no action by Kohls other than exchanging multiple useless emails requesting repetitive information. The correspondent is always someone different who has not read through the email chain to try and understand my situation. My son decided to rent a car to return the item, therefore incurring cost for their mistake. Kohls has offered me their deepest and most sincere apologies multiple times, but no action. Today they offered me a 30% discount, no stacking of discounts allowed, if I would "please place another online order". So apparently their solution to achieving my satisfaction in resolving their mistake is to have me place an order for something I don't want nor need and subject myself to further frustration.

Poor customer service
Our kohls account was hacked while making an online purchase. We were told two new cards would be sent. My husband received his but I didn't. I called and was told it would be sent. Still didn't come. Called and asked to talk to a supervisor and was told it hadn't been sent. Since I it was going to take several weeks, my husband tried to activate his and was told it was an invalid number. Asked to speak with the same supervisor and no one knew who she was. Another concern was with recording while I was waiting. It stated yes rewards customers get ten dollars extra bucks on birthday. I found this not to be true. It is randomly determined.

REFUND OR EXCHANGE ATKohl’s
Reference to purchase at Kohl’s
Our daughter purchased us a Neato Vacuum for a Christmas Gift.
So we attempt to return and upgrade to a larger one for our home.
We were told we couldn’t. Then we attempted to get a refund.
Our daughter paid $300.00 cash and 93.29 on her debit card.
When she done this. The saleperson said to get $70.00 extra in
Kohl’s cash to spend on something else. So she just order white
Towels for that.
At the time of the first visit to exchange they would only give us back
$316.00 dollars out of the 393.29. spent in real money. Was told to
Bring the whole purchase back in and they would credited all. So here
We go another trip. Now mind you and two hours trip to go there each visit.
Then by the store manager on Jan 19, 2018 would not refund us our total money.
Again the $316.00. and would put the balance on Kohls cash. Which we actually
Gave $393.29.
Just a very upset and disatify customer. We took only the cash on the vac. And kept
The towels and went down the road and purchase what we wanted.
Bad business on Kohl’s part. We will never shop or order again. Which we
All did a lot from them at Christmas. So long Kohls

Zero for Credit Card Customer Service
Hope you never have to call on erroneous charges. Called late December and representative agreed 2 ‘purchase Adj Mechanicsville Store’ we’re mistakes. They charged twice for an item being returned. The item was already charged by ecommerce. They did only one credit for the return. I was told it would be taken care of after the new year’s weekend. It is now Jan 9 and no sign of the adjustments. Sat thru horrible phone system 3 times (I don’t need to hear ads before I’m put in the queue I need!) and was hung up on twice. 3rd call asked for supervisor. She and the entire cust sercice system are unable to help. It’s in the hands of the back room and no one, including the call center can talk to them. She did give me a new timeline. 2-3 week’s! All for the store’s mistake, I canceled the order because it went to the wrong store and I didn’t have time to travel there. But seems the only way I can resolve this is to go to that store and hold the managers hand while she calls someone on it. No accountability!! I have never been upset with Kohl’s before and I’m a 15+ year customer. That may end as I never want this frustration again. I

I only gave them one star because that …
I only gave them one star because one star is the minimum. This was the worst company I ever dealt with. Their customer service is overall incompetent and that is a nice way of putting it. I spend numerous hours with their customer service-you name it: each customer service person was in a different country: Philippines, S. America, etc. Asking to speak with a manager never helped (automatic hold time 15 mins, then a convenient disconnect) After writing down the name, along with reference numbers of each person -Incredibly, I would be told "there is no record of Of that person or reference number" The customer service reps could come off as friendly but then incredibly they would just lie (yes we will fix that problem, yes it has been forwarded and I see your record and credit have been corrected and notified (lie again-never happened). In addition to this horrible real life nightmare, Kohls updated their online billing and converted one old site to a new version without telling customers, so when I searched my bill, I would see a zero balance, with no paper bill either. I believed I then had a promotional deferred billing as they had done in the past. Only did I find out later I was not looking at the right billing site with a new card and new site for billing. I paid in full when I discovered this and they called I apologized and tried to explain, But oh no, even after I told them all this, paid immediately and explained, they hammered my credit with a red mark on my record from KOHLS. They not only wasted hours of my time as I mentioned above by calling (they could have been honest and told me they couldn't change anything in the beginning), they lied constantly. when I contacted trans union and gave them names and information as well, they sent me a record that kohls had actually ADDED another red mark on my credit record! of course this was ridiculous since I had paid in full and closed my account, but more evidence of how vindictive and evil they are. I had already cancelled my paid in full account with them. People PLEASE note how many more ads they are running as they are losing customers, this is why. I run my own business and have no more time for these incompetent despicable people. I could never imagine treating people like this, hardworking honest people who honestly try to resolve a mistake and then are treated like this. I have spent my whole life working hard and paying bills on time for over 45 years-you name it I paid paid it off on time. College, cars, houses, kids, etc. now this? Treat people with dignity and respect. Just so you know, I have never had any other problems with anyone else-and had a top credit score before these wild dogs tried to ruin it. Too bad they can't though because my great credit report was based on years of hard work, so it is obvious if I ever even need credit. Warning. No one in their customer service cares, they will tell you one thing and completely lie. No conscience- awful don't let it happen to you- I just want people to know what they are in for. A company that will ruin you in an instant for trying to do the right thing is not one you want to patronize-I was a perfect customer who had a problem due some confusion primarily due to THEIR mistake, they did NOT want to admit that. Stay away!

Kohl's Online Shopping is a joke; worst ever!
I don't mind the store itself. I CANNOT STAND their online shopping. NOTHING is available for store pick up. I had some Kohl's cash to spend and so I thought I'd quickly choose something that I could pick up on my way to work in the morning. I spent hours trying to find something I wanted that I could pick up in-store. I searched nearly every dept. and nothing was available at any store within 50 miles. I finally settled on some hand towels, simply because that was the only item that was available. I also have previously ordered items which were canceled by Kohl's. I had a reward that I used, which was not returned to my account even though I was not the one that canceled the order. After spending more hours talking with customer service about this, I finally got a credit, but it really hasn't been worth all the hassle. I am ready to quit shopping online at Kohl's, and since that is how I do most of my shopping, I guess that means no more shopping at Kohl's.
