I had to give 1 star to write a review. Used my app to charge an item online (12-1-2019) for my mom’s Christmas gift. Somehow, it was charged to her card and mine. Have been trying to get a credit since. But customer service is outsourced to a foreign company who doesn’t use the same customer service as we here in the USA do. They now need another 15 days to really put the credit through this time! Lol More time to make money off 2 charges I suspect. Will be closing my account and never stepping foot into another Kohl’s store again. Horrible customer service. 1-30-2020. Wait is 15 more days.

Kohl’s cash sucks.
I use to love Kohl’s but not now. I buy a lot online and I get a lot of Kohl’s cash and rewards.I recently purchased some sketchers online. When I got them I didn’t like them so I went to get a different pair. Use to if you found the same brand at the same price you could exchange. Not now. If I returned them for something else I would get the amount to spend minus the Kohl’s cash so my 65.00 shoes got me back 5.00 to spend on something else. I had 60.00 in Kohl’s cash. So I now get 5.00 off a pair of shoes. I’m not trying to scam anyone. I just want to use the cash I earned. This isn’t fair. Will be closing my account I’ve had for 8yrs.

I will NEVER shop at Kohl's ever…
I will NEVER shop at Kohl's ever again!!! On Thursday, January 23, 2020, I had the most miserable experience trying to exchange three pairs of pants for smaller sizes of the same identical model at the Mays Landing, NJ store. The associate seemed confused from the outset, and at least three times asked which pairs I was returning when one set of three pairs of pants had no tags and were clearly worn, while the others still had all the store tags attached. One pair of jeans (Levis 514) I exchanged once before because Kohl's didn't stock my size. The sale price was $39.99. When I first exchanged them it was a hassle free even trade. Yet the second time I exchanged them for an even smaller size the associate was confused and wouldn’t accept my receipt or couldn’t find the same jeans on the computer. The return was processed as not having a receipt and a temporary refund of $41.70 was issued. However, I was then charged $69.50 minus $3.50 in Kohl’s cash for a total of $66.00 for the same identical jeans with a waist size one inch smaller! An overall increase of $26.01 from the price I originally paid!!! For the next pair I exchanged (Levis 559) I also originally paid $39.99, and also received a refund of $41.70 taking away $5.00 in Kohl’s cash for a final refund of only $36.70. I originally paid $79.98 for the two pairs (2 x $39.99) and received a refund for only $78.40 ($41.70 + $36.70), a loss of $1.58. This second transaction worked out in my favor and after applying $1.50 in Kohl’s cash the discounted price was brought down to $28.25, a savings of $11.74. Again, I was exchanging the same identical pants for a smaller size! The third exchange went smoothly because they were Kohl’s Urban Pipeline brand and I didn’t have to wait as the associate clumsily looked for a matching code number. Once totaled, I lost $27.59 ($26.01 + $1.58) and gained $11.74 for an overall loss, on what was an even exchange, of $15.85. This exact difference is reflected in the increase in the balance of my Kohl’s charge account from $69.95 to $85.80 although I made no purchases other than this “exchange”. Lastly, I initially returned a pair of slippers I received as a Christmas gift without the receipt and received a paltry fraction of the original price ($5.00 and change). While still at the counter I was able to find the receipt buried in my wallet and received a refund of the full purchase price of $16.49. These needless transactions took well over 20 minutes and backed up the line of customers so much that a third associate had to be called to wait on those impatiently waiting. This is unacceptable! Kohl’s advertises “Hassle-Free Returns”, but their handling of a simple exchange was a bungled disaster! Not only will I never shop in Kohl’s ever again, I will also post my experience on Facebook for my 1,600+ friends to read as well as the Kohl’s official page. Lastly, I am cutting up my Kohl’s charge, paying it off, and closing my account. Thanks for the misery and your not so low prices. I’ll shop at your competitors from now on.

I closed my Kohl's account in January…
I closed my Kohl's account in January 2019 by paying my past due amount with a 3 party collections company. I was informed the account was closed and nothing else was owed. I received an email from Kohls on January 24th, 2020 in regards to a Kohls Charge Card billing error that will be corrected, which raised a red flag since I closed out my Kohls Card. When I contacted the Kohls Customer Care department I was transferred 2 times before speaking with a 3 person in the collections department. The collections representative started to explain to me that an amount of $148.77 is still owed on my account and how I would like to pay for this? When I asked where this charge came from, the collections rep had to place me on hold for close to 5 minutes before coming back on the line to explain, I only paid 60% of the original amount owed with Kohls and that I would still be responsible for the other 40%. When I asked why I was never informed of this and if this would affect my credit score the only answers I received was, "I don't know", or "You will need to call the 3rd party to understand why this happened" or "Kohls does not speak with the credit bureaus". I requested then to speak with a "supervisor" who said the same thing the first collection agent said. The supervisor said she would place me on the "Do Not Contact" list so I wont be contacted again. I asked how placing me on the Do Not Call list is a resolution? Since it sounds like Kohl's is trying to sweep any issue under the rug and pretend like nothing happened. Why would they not? It's not THEIR credit score being affected.
First this is an issue with Kohls so I am not too sure why they would try to direct to me a 3rd party collections, that has to do with the amount owed under the KOHL'S account. I should have the faith that Kohls will be able to take action and provide me with a resolution since this is an error on their end. Secondly, both the collections rep and the collections "supervisor" both lied to me saying they have no control over the credit bureaus when I have an email that says in writing, "Kohls has updated any related credit bureau reporting". To also have a supervisor turn Kohls mistake around try to blame it on me for not knowing that I was only paying of 60% of a past due amount is ridiculous as well. How would I have known the balance I was paying was less than what I actually owed when NO ONE told me any different. Why would Kohls submit a past due amount balance owed to a 3rd party collections to allow this collections company to only charge me 60% of what is owed?
This is an issues between Kohls and the 3rd party collections company. I do not understand why Kohl's would leave an amount owed on an account after they received the settlement notification from the 3rd party company? Kohls had the opportunity to reach out to me by phone and email, never once did I ever receive anything. I did my part to pay off any balanced owed so that Kohls no longer as any outstanding balance. Why would Kohls NOT contact someone who owes money for over a year? Why did it take over a year for me to find out a balance is remaining? Why would Kohls think putting me on a Do Not Call List would be a resolution?
I want the $148.77 to be covered/paid/waived by Kohl's since this is an issue with them and the 3rd party collections. I want a confirmation letter from Kohl's showing they have reached out to the credit bureaus about their error and there will not be any impact to my credit score. I also want a confirmation letter from Kohl's about the $148.77 no longer showing as unpaid balance and the amount has been covered/paid/waived.

Kohls is a rip off
I do not like Kohls, I avoid Kohls at every cost. Everything is over priced, you can get the same thing at Target for cheaper. Unfortunately, my mom went there and bought me a pair of Jeans for Christmas. They did not fit so she gave me the receipt to return them. I begrudgingly went in to return them. Even with a receipt they gave me store credit, which I did not look at because I wanted to get out of there asap and just shop online. When I later looked at it the "store credit" was given to me on a Kohls cash coupon with AN EXPIRATION DATE!!!!!!! what store credit has an expiration date. I went online to buy a pair of pants and OF COURSE non of the numbers on it work, so now I have to go in there, which I do not want to do. That place is such a rip off. I have told all my family to please buy me NOTHING from Kohls, EVER!

TERRIBLE experience
TERRIBLE experience. Called multiple times, was told something different each time. Still don't have the money on the card. Spent HOURS on the phone with no idea what's going on. The last person I spoke to was beyond rude.

I recently spent $350 at Kohl’s on…
I recently spent $350 at Kohl’s on merchandise and food gift cards for my kids for Christmas. One of the Olive Garden gift cards did not work, it was evidently not activated properly. After making four different phone calls, being transferred and hung up on I never did get this issue resolved and our gift card was never reimbursed! Horrible customer service!

Kohl's cash
When it comes to Kohl's cash, buyer be aware. DO NOT buy anything for a gift that you are earning Kohl's cash on. If they bring it back they get it subtracted if you have used the cash. You are better off buying the gift with the Kohl's cash. Then if you happen to bring what you used the Kohl's cash on back and do not use the Kohl's cash. They have gotten that money twice. You basically gave them whatever you bought back for nothing. They told me that Kohl's cash goes automatically in your Kohl's Wallet when I signed up. They said today the "green" Kohl's cash does, not the blue Kohl's cash from returns. So I lost Kohl's cash, thinking it was in my wallet. I took some things back to a different store then and guess what the "blue" Kohl's cash did go into my wallet. It must be only certain times, that is does because mine did not and I lost it. What makes me made is they argued with me at both places that I was wrong. When I got home and opened up the computer it was already there in my wallet(the blue Kohl's cash)
Also I was returning a "Speciality Electronic". Less than a month after Christmas. They said it had to be returned 30 days from the day it was ordered, which was 11/28, shipped a week or two after that, so basically your stuck with it.
I would rather buy something, know the price I am paying. Know the price I would or someone else would get back if returned than this run around with Kohl's cash. After I get done with this, I am done shopping a Kohl's. Their customer service has really gone down the drain. I have been a local customer since they opened.
