This is one of the worst companies I've ever worked for...their employee treatment is horrible. I worked as a lead on the Sephora side, and the environment became hostile. That's one of the reasons for quitting. To top it off, I wasn't payed my vacation time. They kept my hard earned money. I saved that paid time off for nothing. They are crooks and totally dishonest. It was such a bad experience that I don't see myself working or shopping for anything there again.

Kohls uses a 3rd-party, The Retail Equation (TRE), to track your return data. If TRE flags your account, you are supposed to receive a warning from a Kohls associate. (I never received this initial warning.) If you try to make another return after that, Kohls associates will be instructed to refuse your return (even if you are within the 90 day return policy and even if you are returning WITH a receipt) and you will be directed to call TRE to initiate a dispute process. The whole process is not at all transparent - if you try to contact someone at Kohls for more information (like, why weren't you given the initial warning? Why was your account flagged?) they will just refer you to speak with TRE. When you speak with TRE to ask those questions, they will just refer you to speak with Kohls. I am currently stuck with ~$230 worth of merchandise that I can't return. They claim this partnership with TRE is to prevent fraud, but I wasn't trying to defraud Kohls. I was just trying to return clothes that didn't fit me, within their stated return policy.

I called Customer Service for help with an order. After 5 minutes of what is my name and email I get asked what is the issue. At least that is what I think I was asked. The agent must sit in a large call center with the rest of India. She was so silent the whole time and the noise in the background made it hard to hear her. When she spoke she sounded medicated, but I know she is only following a process. After being put on hold many times, and being told different answers, I was never helped. I tried with the Kohls Chat, same thing. There is a process to follow, and you can't ask a question.

I ordered a Hot Wheels playset online from Kohl’s for my son’s Christmas gift and the package was marked as delivered — but the delivery photo clearly shows a completely different house and property. I contacted customer service expecting a simple replacement, but I was told there was “no option” to replace or refund it and that I should dispute it with my bank instead. As someone who has worked in customer service, this was shocking. I’ve opened a case with OnTrac and filed a BBB complaint, and I’m hoping Kohl’s Corporate will step in because I truly just want the item I paid for and never received. The deal was $50 (normally $124), and I was excited to get it for my son for Christmas. The situation should be easy to fix, and I’m really hoping Corporate can resolve this.

So much has changed about Kohl’s since I started to do any shopping there. I actually stopped shopping there for a while and recently ordered some gifts to use a coupon. I soon realized that it has gotten even worse. I purchased a pair of slippers in a medium and received an extra large. I called customer service and was told that I have to take time out of my day to drive all the way to the nearest store to exchange them. It wasn’t my mistake, but I’m the one who has to fix it? First, I have to deal with the inconvenience of having to call customer service and now I have to go to the store. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I’m not going there on black Friday. It’s not just having to go exchange the item, it shouldn’t be my problem to fix. They’ve changed a lot with their return policy too and made it worse. Now they no longer have a customer service area in the store - everything is done at the registers (which can cause a back up quickly), and you can’t use their coupons for hardly anything now. I don’t want to shop there, but now I’m stuck in the vicious cycle of Kohl’s cash and reward coupons.

I ordered a Sonoma Goods light blue rug, but the rug inside the package was dark green. Customer service told me to return it at the store and reorder it, so I drove an hour round trip to do that. At the store, no one helped me with the oversized rug, and the employee only processed the return and said the store has nothing to do with online orders. There was no apology. I reordered the rug, and the exact same incorrect item arrived again. When I contacted customer service and even the main line, I was given the same answer: return it and reorder it. I was told they cannot contact the warehouse, and one representative even suggested that maybe the light blue looks dark green to me, which was insulting. I simply wanted the correct item and I needed someone to actually check the rug before shipping it. Reordering the same mislabeled item over and over makes no sense.

Kohls is just horrible I've had there credit card for years. The bill always arrives everytime, but if I order from online they may get 1 out of 2 packages to me in a good location and the others are somewhere in Bangladesh??? How do they even stay in business. I got a incident number for a refund 7,480236 is my incident number. And what a monster number they have for incidents!!! Well over 7.4 Million!!! Good luck shopping with KOHLS! 😆
