Cabin bag allowance is not stated at all neither on the boarding pass (which is not a mobile-wallet compatible one btw, I felt like we’re in the 90s again), nor on the “manage your booking” section in their site, nor is it mentioned when the ticket is issued. I was surprised while boarding that I needed to pay 40€ for my carry-on bag because my ticket was a Economy Basic type. When trying to pay, the ground attendants in Rome were quite rude, asking for a physical card and not accepting payment via mobile contactless card!!! They didn’t give me any solution when I told them I do not have a physical card with me. I had to find a solution myself because I realized on my own that they just wanted to write down my card number in the system, even though the POS dis actually accept contactless payment. Again, this airline seems to be stuck in the far past… their customer service included. Absolutely do not choose this airline.

Seit der Umstellung im Frühjahr 2024 von Air Malta auf KM Malta Air gibt es mit den Buchungen Probleme. Bei meinem letzter Flug von München nach Malta konnte ich nicht einchecken und wurde mehrmals auf dem Flughafen München hin und hergeschickt. Es stellte sich dann heraus, dass mein Zusatzgepäck, welches ich gebucht und nachweislich mit meiner Kreditkarte in Euro bezahlt hatte, im Computer als Dollar Zahlung eingebucht war. Nicht das erstemal, dass es bein den Buchungen aufgrund Software-Fehler, Probleme gab. Diese Fluggesellschaft muss endlich ihre Software in Ordnung bringen, so macht das Fliegen keinen Spass.

My friends and I flew to Malta through LGW via Easy jet and decided to try KM Malta for the experience on the way back. On checking in, we were told that the same under seat gym bag I used to come via easy jet with no issues was too big and they asked us to pay €40!!! €40 for the same bag that was free under my seat via Easy jet!!! Never again stick to Easy jet and Ryan Air!!!

The worst experience I ever had. Im flying over 30 years, 20-30 times a year so really have a lot of experiences, but never faced with so nonsensical rule. Im not able to tale on board my hand luggage even I was ready to pay for it. I have there only my electronic devices, nothing else. Although electronic devices not allowed inside luggage in the hold, they forced me to put it to the hold and pay for it. Thats doesn’t make any sense…be careful when buying a flight ticket for KM, they rules are out of this world and general rules. They have their own. Do you know any other airline which do not allow accepting cabin bag ( with size of cabin bag) againest payment? I just hope that once will again working for airlines again professionals and will make the rules with mind. Until that time will be very careful which airlines will choose for my next flight. From Malta there is not many choices, but Ryanair and all other low cost airlines are more professional from KM. Its a shame…

only gave 1 as i couldn’t go any lower twice used this airline and twice had issues with baggage at heathrow - it’s an absolute joke

Impossible de mettre 0 etoile. Compagnie en retard (à l’aller comme au retour) Nous avons du payer deux fois nos bagages. La première fois lors de la réservation (sinon c’est comme Ryanair, vous avez le droit à un sac minuscule) Arrivés à l’embarquement on nous demande de payer à nouveau 50€ pour nos bagages car ils auraient dû aller en soute. On paye donc 50€ car on nous fait comprendre que de toute manière si on ne paye pas on ne pourra pas partir. Et nos bagages finissent quand même en soute. Nous avons été une dizaine de personne dans ce cas, ils ont donc récupéré plus de 500€ pour faire 100metre à nos valises. Fuyez cette compagnie qui est identique à une compagnie comme Ryanair alors qu’il s’agit d’une compagnie nationale.

My flight was one of the filthiest I've ever experienced. Old gum stuck to seats, torn upholstery, smell of puke, on-board menu card that is torn, stained and definitely unhygienic, no toilet paper in the toilet.. and this experience cost 400+ euros. I hate layovers, but probably I hate KM Malta more.

Had to change terminals in Vienna. Plane was late taking off. Seating was uncomfortable and cramped. Inside, plane looked old and drab. Worst flight ever
