Shameful
Customer acquisition approach: shaming. Exactly what a hesitant, newly diagnosed (diabetic) potential consumer wants to hear. Mind blowingly shameful: "Hey, Christine here. I’m sorry to see that you didn't try your personalized program yet. You know the Klinio diet works. I even approved a 79% discount just for you. Yet here we are. I'm starting to believe you're not ready to change your life and transform your body. Why else wouldn't you work with a Ph.D. nutritionist for 18 cents a day? I was ready to prepare over a thousand personalized meal ideas for you... based on the exact foods you enjoy eating. Complete with desserts and snacks so you don't feel hungry or have to rely on your willpower to get through the night. We'd calculate everything, down to the last calorie. What to eat, how much, when, and why. Yet you didn't act to get Klinio. So I'm forced to delete your details today. You see, I can't help you if you don't want to help yourself. If you truly wanted to reach 150lb, you'd take action. So do you? Are you ready to start transforming your body and improving your health for good? Only you know the answer. You can do it for 18 cents a day. That's cheaper than diet coke. In the next couple of hours, I'll delete your details, and you'll lose your plan. And even though you haven't taken action yet... A part of me still believes you'll make the right choice. Just make sure you do it while you still can. It's the responsible choice for your health, your happiness, and your waistline. The final choice is yours. I hope I see you on the other side... Christine, Klinio's Head of Nutrition" UPDATE/RESPONSE: In response to Klinio's reply: It is not the "numbers" I object to, nor the supposed intent of your team to be helpful. It is the tone and language being used to reel in hesitant clients/customers, as if actual human beings are being inconvenienced by my delay when we all know the plans are computer-generated, and based on broad and shallow data sets. As if comparing the daily cost of your program with the cost of a single bottle of diet soda isn't agregiously passive-aggressive manipulation. You have completely missed my message and frankly, knowing your initial response was itself computer generated, so too, I believe, is your 2nd. You will acquire customers with genuine customer service and empathetic marketing.

Dear JP, our diabetes management tools are based on the best techniques and have been developed together with doctors and meant to help, not body shame - we truly apologize if our email made you feel some negative way. Please reach out to our support team - they will be happy to explain what we mean by these numbers and facts. We are looking forward to solving this. Best regards, Emma
