Don't get lured in by the Shopify integration alone. Klaviyo has become an endless money pit where you pay a premium for 'bloatware'—features that sound good on paper but offer no real utility. Their pricing keeps climbing, yet the customer service remains abysmal. For the price they charge, you’d expect a much higher level of support and care. It’s simply not worth the investment anymore, and we will be moving our business elsewhere.

During Black Friday, I've had 2 campaigns already where a shared IP ban caused 22.5 and 60% of my emails to bounce. After research, this turned out to be a problem on Klaviyo its end, who have a limited number of IP addresses. When you’re on top of your campaigns and you’re doing a send on a fixed timestamp, you can easily fix this by re-sending to all bounced contacts after you see it's not delivering in a 1 hour window. However, when sending emails in a local time zone and you work out a whole delivery schedule, and 24 hours later you figure out an email has not been properly delivered, you can’t fix it anymore. Support from Klaviyo was about to get back to me on this but I never heard back. Most likely they will get back after the BFCM period. Not happy with this, costing us a lot of money. Not speaking about the cost of using Klaviyo software.

I’ve lost revenue and wasted hours dealing with broken automations, confusing dashboards, and slow support. Definitely frustrating.

This company has super powerful and intuitive products with many great features. They do participate in censorship business practices. If your e-commerce products are within their scope, this is probably a great choice. If your products are legal and are not within Klaviyo’s interests, recommend avoiding.

I am not a fan of Klayvio and am currently looking for a simpler app to send emails. I have been with them for a few years, just because the headache of rebuilding flows and setting up a new program is never simple. I am a very small business and they are not a good fit for me. When they required you 'go to school' to learn how to use their emails show they have 'intentionally' made their app complex so it is difficult for the average, busy person to master it. I would need to hire a full time person just to keep up with all the changes, and learning the app is almost impossible due to time constraints. This reminds me of Adobe Photoshop and how complex they made their program back in the early 2000's - with intention, here we are in 2024 and Canva a simpler powerful program is stealing their thunder. I believe things can be kept simple with a low learning curve, if you chose to do-so. Klaviyo has made the choice to follow in the footsteps of adobe and I believe over the next few years it will not bode well for them.

Klaviyo is one of the best email marketing services in the world. That said, they have without a doubt the worst customer service, the worst technical support, and the most slimy, despicable sales practices of any company I work with. Do everything you can to avoid using Klaviyo. If you decide to use them, pray you never need support. Pray you're never billed incorrectly. Pray a new company comes along ASAP to blow these a*sholes out of the water. To recap - I hate Klaviyo and can't wait for a proper competitor to ruin them.

It's really a terrible product. Too many bugs, not enough features, seems like the product team is doing everything, but making the lives of their customers easier. Crazy to think that someone at this scope and with that much investment, can function so poorly.
