I would rate zero stars if I could. This company is a joke. They charge you $55 up front and then when the doctor finally joins the chat he just tells you to go to an urgent care. Ridiculous scam and waste of money. Please do not use these people!!

We are truly sorry to hear about your frustrating experience and that you feel your time and money were wasted. This is certainly not the experience we want our members to have, and we understand your disappointment, especially after paying upfront.
Our clinicians' primary focus is always patient safety and ensuring you receive the most appropriate level of care. There are times when, based on a patient's symptoms or medical history, an in-person visit to an urgent care facility or emergency room is necessary to provide a proper diagnosis, physical examination, or immediate intervention that cannot be safely or effectively done via telehealth. When this happens, it's done out of concern for your well-being.
We would like to understand more about your specific situation and discuss your concerns directly. Please reach out to our Patient Experience team at [email protected] so we can review your case further.
We strive to provide valuable, accessible care, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations in this instance. Thank you for reaching out and we look forward to hearing from you.

The chatbot should have told me that for the cost of $79 dollars, it was to early to reconnect with an actual doctor.

We're taking your feedback seriously and are reviewing our messaging to ensure full transparency for all users. Please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can discuss your situation directly.

Annoyed
Ghosted and gaslit
I started an urgent primary care case in the app when I was experiencing a terrible migraine and needed immediate help adjusting my HRT. I answered numerous questionnaires (more than once, as the app glitched), and then the app told me, word for word "Great, you're checked in. Stay by your phone - you'll be notified when your clinician is ready."
Well, I stayed by my phone and waited. And waited. No one ever contacted me.
Today I reached out to their customer service, and was informed by Tara that it was my fault because I was supposed to go schedule an appointment after completing the questionnaires. However, the app never instructed me to do that. It said I was checked in - to what, I don't know - and that a clinician would be ready - for what, I don't know, if I didn't actually have an appointment.
It's not only disgusting and dangerous to ghost a person requesting urgent care, but to also gaslight them into thinking your problem was their fault. That is so much worse than just poor customer service.

I was trying to obtain a doctor's note…
I was trying to obtain a doctor's note in order to keep my employment the first doctor who spoke to my filled out a generic doctors note before the visit was ever done. He refused to modify the note, I spoke with another doctor and she refused to help me at all. I promptly cancelled my K health membership.
Response from K HealthMay 30, 2025
I'm truly sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with K Health. That's definitely not the outcome we want for anyone seeking help, especially when your employment is on the line.
It sounds like there was a significant misunderstanding regarding the type of doctor's note you needed. I want to clarify that our doctor's notes are letters confirming a patient was examined on a specific date. We do not include diagnoses on these letters, nor do we excuse time from work or school. We understand how critical specific documentation can be for employment, and it's clear this distinction wasn't made clear, leading to your disappointment.
We take feedback like yours very seriously as it helps us identify areas where we need to improve our service and communication about what we can and cannot provide. We aim to offer supportive and effective care, and it's clear we missed the mark in setting clear expectations for you.

Had a truly disturbing experience with…
Had a truly disturbing experience with this company. Providers are not tech-literate enough to use the platform they are using. Customer support is extremely unprofessional and downright rude in most cases.

Poor UX between the bot, SMS link, and app.
The doctor hisself was helpful, respectful, kind and knowledgeable. If it were a rating for him alone, he'd be a 4/5. The reason I put one star is that the user experience is so clunky. I took 15ish minutes to fill out my basic details and "set an appointment for 2:30", of which abruptly started ended 20 minutes before that time?
Then, it's like the system times out since I "missed my appointment" that I was actually on time for. I went through the 15 minute pre-screen AGAIN, about 3 times (lost an hour), to try and figure out how to get back to the link where my doctor was. Each time I filled out the prelim questions, it just kept sending me to a new waiting link, and the doctor didn't check in.
My suggestion: Hire software engineering and UX teams that can fix these highly agitating inconsistencies between the softwares not talking to each other and data not syncing the first time it's entered.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate you highlighting the positive aspects of your interaction with the doctor. It's wonderful to know you felt he was helpful, respectful, kind, and knowledgeable. We agree that those qualities are essential.
However, we are very sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you had with our platform's user experience. It sounds incredibly disruptive to have to repeatedly fill out your information and encounter issues with the appointment timing and linking. That is certainly not the seamless experience we want our users to have.
Your feedback regarding the need for improvements in our software engineering and UX teams is invaluable. We understand how critical a smooth and efficient user experience is, and we are taking your suggestions seriously.
Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention. We are committed to making these necessary improvements and hope you will consider using our services again in the future to experience a much smoother process.

A**holes
Your doctors are not trained to handle preventative medicine. I have studied Lyme disease and tick borne infections for over a decade. I recently was bit by a western black leg tick (twice), and I came to your platform to get the CDC recommended preventative treatment- doxycycline 100mg BID twice daily for 10-21 days. Your staff only offered the 200mg single dose prophylaxis. This is criminal, as doxycycline is rather safe my situation called for it. I live in an area with high rates of Lyme and 6 other common tick vector diseases- all of which are improved by 6-21 days of doxycycline depending on the infection.
I have 2 choices: just wait and see if I get symptoms, spend thousands of dollars on testing, spend months arguing with doctors who don’t understand infection disease, spend months arguing with infectious disease specialists about Lyme and how it is not straight forward, and waste my time, and be stressed out, and waste all my resources trying to figure out how to get better - and some of these infections don’t get better if you wait too long, it’s a death sentence.
Or option 2: you put me on 100mg doxycycline twice a day for up to 21 days, and I avoid option 1 completely.
Patients dont come to you or doctors to ask permission to treat their health the way they want. They come to you, and you advise them, but ultimately let those in charge of their own health call their own shots with in reason. I came to you to get doxycycline that is appropriate for my situation. Instead you get me inadequate care and if I don’t like it I was told to go see my pcp. Screw that. That’s abusive, frustratingly angering, and unacceptable. Failing to treat my condition in accordance with CDC guidelines is criminal, because I have no more than 10 days from the date of the bit to get on the doxycycline. After 10 days infections like Lyme become systemic. Most of the time systemic infections have no symptoms until 10-40 years later something impacts your immune system - child birth, car accident, grief - and boom you have full blown symptoms, because Lyme disease is opportunistic like that.
Every doctor needs to study tick born illness, and the 83+ different infections that can be transmitted with a single tick but, many worse than Lyme. They need to be familiar with names in the field like Dr. Richard Howowitz. They need to understand that prevention is THE only option. It is the cheapest, and it is not worth risking. Any tick bit should be treated as exposing - with or without symptoms. The presence of symptoms does NOT indicate exposure or infection. Any tick bite should be treated doxycycline 100mg twice daily for 10 days at a minimum. The prophylaxis of a single dose of 200mg is only appropriate before exposure same day, or if the tick never go into the blood. My tick left a massive blood red and black nasty wound on my leg that looks necrotic. It got into my blood. They should have know what to do instead of argue with me because of your policy.
You should update your policy to reflect the reality of tick vector illnesses- erring the side of caution, to protect the livelihood of people, because that is your job. There is no excuse for ignorance. You are obligated.
As for me, I canceled my subscription and I bought doxycycline for fish, and I will be taking 100mg of that twice a day for 10-21 days, because I’d rather do that than risk my future in the hands of undereducated “health professionals” who don’t have my best interest at heart, who have no training in this area, and who think I come to them for permission rather than to serve me in my health journey.
Your doctors have a very toxic culture, ego, and privilege. They think they are in charge of their patients. They think patients do what they say because they are the doctor and somehow that makes them god. Well, I refuse. I wouldn’t blindly allow a doctor to dictate my health aren’t me when my health is my responsibility, and I suffer the consequences of those decisions. If someone comes to you and doesn’t know anything, that’s their choice. But when someone like myself comes to you and says this is what I want and here is the justified reason - who are you to tell me no? I tell you what I want, you advise me, but ultimately it is my decision. Like I said, I’m not asking permission, I’m telling you what I want. There should be ZERO reason to deny someone with a tick bite a full prescription of doxycycline when the risks without proper treatment are far beyond your nightmares. It’s insane the way I was ignored, disregard, told to go else where, told that I have no power, no control, and no choice. I do have a choice. And you can’t stop me.

Thank you for sharing your experience and raising these important concerns regarding the prevention of tick-borne illnesses. It's understandable that you sought guidance on preventative treatment following your tick bites, especially given your knowledge of these conditions and the prevalence in your area.
We appreciate you bringing to our attention the need to ensure our protocols and medical professionals are aligned with the most current guidelines for tick-borne illness prevention. Your feedback is valuable as we continuously work to improve our services and ensure our patients receive the most appropriate and up-to-date care within the scope of telehealth. We will take your comments into consideration as we review our protocols and training to better address situations like yours in the future.
