Not sure if anyone still has financial holding with KeyBank but if you do, I would highly advise if moving your money out of this institution. Already rated extremely poorly, they just don’t seem to get it. After recently losing our mother. it was difficult to close her existing accounts at Key Bank only to find out when trying to sell her home that they had convinces her to open a HELOC and failed to close it along with all of her other accounts. Now even with a trust and a will outlining her last wishes. KeyBank has determined that it not enough to close the HELOC in order to sell her home, which although never used, has caused a lied to be placed in her property. This has caused a young family wishing to purchase the home to lose out on a lower interest rate and possibly unable to purchase the home. After speaking with several other financial institutions, it seems to be just something KeyBank refuses to do All other have said that the documents provided are more than what would be needed. Advise-leave KeyBank and don’t ever look back.

They promised me a $600 bonus for opening an account there and I had to keep $5000 in my account for two months I've had over $25,000 in most of the time for like the past six months and I talked to the manager when am I getting my bonus he said I'll look into it. Three more months went by. When am I getting my bonus, I'll check into it. I'll let you know. Then it was hey you need to open up the KeyBank Clover app so you can collect money on your debit card from your customers and once you hit $6000 in transactions will give you your $600 bonus well I've met that $6000 in transactions plus another probably 2000 and guess what now they're saying that they still can't pay me my bonus they promised me they're a bunch of scumbags the management so I would not recommend opening an account at this place and I'm getting ready to transfer my money out

My Pay Pal account was hacked a few months ago. Good luck trying to get anybody at Pay Pal to do anything for you! So that was bad enough. But then, the same hacker made three charges to my Key Bank Account amounting to over 7K! The 'KEY TEAM' reviewed the charges three times, each time asking for more information on my end. After a month of waiting, no call, no courtesy, just a letter sent to me saying the charges were righteous. Crazy. Not one time did I talk to a person, except the woman at my Branch who has been my banker for 30 years. She couldn't believe it but made it clear that if she made any more noise about it her job could be in danger. So I made noise. Lots of it. No dice. Just another AI denial. All of which is to say - do not trust Key Bank! They will buck you while smiling.

The worst customer service on the planet. I'd rather call Comcast/Xfinity - it's that bad. Also Mobile banking never works, debit cards aren't mailed for months at a time. Insane verification that requires a 45 minute phone call to activate my mobile wallet.

KeyBank is an absolute nightmare. Twice now they’ve let me open an account and then afterwards, after I’ve already updated my direct deposit information with my employer, they restrict my online account access because they can’t verify my physical address. Then when I contact them they’re incredibly unhelpful and don’t give me any practical options for verifying my address.

Normally, there's a 4 day hold on checks from lenders even when the checks lender are in the same state. I live in Pittsburgh Pa and I borrowed money from a credible lender in Cranberry, Pa. less than 12 miles away from the bank. She knows the check is good because I have borrowed from this lender multiple times. Its the Local Managers discretion whether to release the funds or not to: she released the hold! The people working at the local branch I rate at a 10, being kind, courteous and professional. They shouldn't have their pay cut for following policies at t he local branch, in fact should have a pay raise! For being the professionals they are. ....in today's world, why can't we have our money electronically deposited into the Customers account?

Literally worst bank ever. I had my checking acct here with direct deposits from the same jobs for almost a year now, I've received a tax refund in this account, always had a decent balance and managed my account well, and when I was in a true jam they wouldn't even allow me to overdraft a lousy $200.00 for a car payment I so desperately needed. If your looking for a financial institution that has your back if you were ever falling short- stay far from here.

There’s a teller at the Ransomville NY location that is extremely nasty and purposely does things to upset the customer. Date of service is approximate. It’s happened three times so far.
