The bank reneged twice in providing the promotional interest rate they offered to me. Right in the middle of a guaranteed 6 month cycle the interest rate on a large sum of money was reduced with no notification causing me a loss of about $600 in promised interest. 2nd time it happened in a few months. Pathetic from several points of view. WILL NOT TRUST THEM WITH SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF MONEY!!

Tellers A+, everything else is terrible, a massive headache
If we’re just talking about the branch tellers, 5 stars. The vast majority of them have been wonderful to me over the past decade + of banking with Key. The back office folks? Awful. I’m convinced at this point that you have to take a Customer Service Deprogramming course just to get an office with a door at KeyBank. It’s as if the folks who work every not customer-facing role have forgotten that their account holders are actually customers.
I have 4 business accounts and 3 personal accounts with Key. I would imagine they would eventually stop talking to me like I’m an idiot after a few years, but after a decade it seems that’s just their MO, Additionally, they constantly update their policies and payment standards. So now I am unable to make principal payments on a business loan and can only make regular payments (obviously so they never miss a single cent of interest). I can’t turn several business loans on AutoPay either. So if the payment date falls on a weekend or holiday they will late charge you unless you pay it before the due date. It would be much easier to do that if they didn’t freeze every single deposit that was above $10k also. So even if you deposit a check from a different reputable bank, they will absolutely refuse to clear it for 7 business days and treat you like you’re cashing a bad check whenever they see a number above $7k. It’s almost embarrassing for the folks who work in the branches because you can see they are tired of dealing with the red tape and nonsensical policies that they’re tasked to enforce.
As a woman business owner, you would think the women in higher positions here would be respectful and respect their clients/customers - but they’re somehow worse than the men. I can’t even have a serious conversation with this bank anymore so I just mind my business, grab my change orders, and do my best to not make eye contact with the “can we offer you a credit card? want to open a CD?” folks.
I’m in the process of opening another business and I hope the bank I work with on this endeavor can help me transfer everything out of Key as soon as possible. I can’t bring myself to ever do business with Key again. It’s therapy inducing levels of stressful, patronizing, and chaotic.

Worst credit company ever!
The last year of my truck loan their collection company called me at least twice a day to inquire about the balance of the note even though the payment was current. I am so glad to be done with them I will never use Key Bank again for anything especially not for a car loan! Stay away from Key Bank!!

So far KeyBank has been alright my…
So far KeyBank has been alright my first check deposit was available the next day.
Their customer service is decent nice that it's 24/7. However called in to see about increasing the ATM limit which is a rather low $500. After giving all my information verifying my account Name Social DoB email phone ect was told thank you for verifying we've pulled up your account after asking about the atm increase they said they were unable to verify my identity? And they would have to try verifying by sending a One time code to my mobile number they asked my number I gave it to them and they said sorry we were unavailable to verify your identity so we won't be able to send the onetime code okay then why'd you ask for my number to send the code. Like how is that even possible I verified everything at the very beginning so you could bring up my account. We were both laughing as this was happening. Customer service was nice but howis that even possible?

Don't trust their bill pay
Don't trust their bill pay. For several years I have used their software to pay my mortgage. This year it didn't adjust because I didn't know to use their new autopay. Long story short I have 50 dollars in late fees a 32 day late payment and customer service reps saying too bad. I don't make late payments and really don't like the condescension from the service reps. Looking for a new bank

Well they've done it again
Well they've done it again. Back in 3/22 they noticed fraudulent activity on my debit card and warned me about it. I thought they had turned over a new leaf and were better policing themselves. WRONG! When they notified me of the charge they killed my debit card and sent me a new one so no other charges could come thru. WRONG! This was the 5th or 6th time in the last 5 years something like this has happened. I was reassured with the issuance of the new card no further problems. WRONG! I was supposed to go and notify my vendors of my new card info and did most of them. There was one I didn't do cause they only charge every 3 or 4 months. Then on June 9,2022 @ 9am I got a email from Dollar Shave Club saying they were having trouble processing the payment for my next shipment, of course they were they were the 1 I didn't update my card info with. I checked my account balance and saw I had only 15 cents at the time cause all my monthly bills had been paid and I'm on a fixed income and I wanted to avoid any overdrafts. So I didn't update the debit card info yet, I was waiting till I got more money in the account. Then on June 15,2022 @ 9am I got a second notice from DSC saying they tried again to process the payment and that they needed me to update my card info, but I still only had 15 cents in the account so I didn't cause I didn't want to overdraft the account and incur the bank's overdraft fee of $38.50. But latter that evening I got a third email from DSC @ 7:39pm saying it had been processed. Apparently because of some agreement between Mastercard and certain vendors if it is deemed a recurring charge they can force the charge thru without the new and correct info even if there isn't enough funds to cover it so everyone wins, DSC, Mastercard, and Key Bank cause they get to charge you that overdraft fee and another $28 fee if it's not made whole in 5 business days. What a bunch of crap! Now Key Bank wants to kill my new card and send me another new 1 so it most definitely can't happen again. WRONG! Back in March they said with the new card it wouldn't happen again but Mastercard can just force it thru? With all the accounts and cards they process thru the month they know what bank account to force a $17.68 charge thru? So they overdraft my account, cause the balance was only 15 cents, DSC gets their $17.68, and Mastercard gets their %, and Key Bank get $38.50 and another $28 in 5 business days if I can't come up with $59. Maybe I should take up a collection thru my PayPal account cause Key Bank or Mastercard ain't going to make me whole. I don't get my SSI money till the 3rd of the month so I'll probably be charged the additional $28. That will through everything out of wack having to pay the extra $87 or so. It sucks to not have money

I am a new customer with key bank
I am a new customer with key bank, one of the first things the fraud department did was deactivated my card,( they said they suspected fraud).
I have purchased items from Israel that cost many hundreds of dollars; when I tried to purchase some clothes from a department store on line for (107.00), with a few cents, they deactivated my card, after deactivating the card, they never called; or texted to verify if I was the one making the purchase.
When I reported this to a manger named Ralph, of the contact department, he said, their fraud department was small; and that they couldn’t afford to text; or call everyone when they suppect fraud.
But I thought that is their job?????
Oh by the way, did I mention that he was rude????? Ralph the manger from the contact department. This happened to me from my home in East Amherst, N.Y.
