If I could give Amazon KDP zero stars
If I could give Amazon KDP zero stars, I would. I am currently owed over £600 in missing royalty payments that Amazon KDP marked as “Paid” months ago, yet the money has never reached my bank account. This has now been dragging on since March 2026. Every time I contact customer service, I’m told to: “wait 10 business days” “contact your bank” or that they are “waiting for a response from the bank” Meanwhile, I’m the one spending hours chasing this, providing evidence, contacting my bank repeatedly, and being passed from one person to another. They sent me what they called “payment proof”, but initially it wasn’t even a valid traceable banking reference. Only after weeks of chasing did they finally escalate it to a supervisor and payments team. Even now, after multiple promises and timelines, I still have no payment and no actual resolution. The most frustrating part is the constant loop of generic responses rather than somebody simply taking ownership and fixing the issue. As an author/publisher, this is extremely worrying. When your royalties are marked as paid, you expect the funds to actually arrive — not disappear into months of back-and-forth emails. Very disappointed with the handling of this situation and the level of customer service throughout.
