KDP flagged my account for removal after approval and refused to state what the actual issues were. I sumitted the account for reapproval and i recieved the same dry response. Luckily there are other platforms to use and self publishing is still an option. I won't be doing business with Amazon on any platforms in the near future and I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

Amazon KDP are Scammers
Isn't giving Amazon KDP bad reviews going to tarnish the company's name??
How can they closed one account without prior warning/reason??
I believe they are just doing so to ripped publish royalties.
My account was terminated just like that without any reason.( saying my title is misleading that's all) and how can they be holding my royalties again. Bunch of Thiefs..

The New Menstrual Cycle
The Worst Experience
Everyday they find a new way to keep your money away
What can you expect when the world's customer service centers are located in poor 3rd world countries like India where the caste system is still in place. The longer they can keep your money, like the rest of the banking institutions, the more interest they can make. The new Menstrual cycle.

Inflexible Robots
Where do I start with this. I had previously published Japanese styled paperback comics back in 2010 with CreateSpace. I had challenges but as a company, with some poking and prodding, I lead a swift change in how they dealt with comics. Especially those in English but retaining the Japanese Right to Left reading direction.
Several years later, I am back to deliver more - of course Amazon has acquired CS and moved everything over to their KDP platform. With successful publications running in the above format, we come to delivering a new addition to our series and are met with "no we can't do this, English is left to right". On many occasions they simply stated to me it could cause manufacturing issues - however, never had I encountered any, nor has anybody who bought our books. Glowing performance. But because they're too inflexible they won't budge.
I am now left in dead water with very limited options to maintain the standard, which was great btw (but not enough to bring the stars up imo).
I'd have imagined KDP would have been a step up now Amazon had full control. But it isn't. Its inflexible and just not for creators like me.
This is a unique situation and if you're a paperback novelist, this is definitely a great option. But for me, this has literally taken a s**t on us from a creative perspective and I urge those in a similar situation to avoid the pain and tiresome conversations. They won't change and they don't care. They've cornered the market like they have with more or less everything else.

Amazon KDP is simply appalling
Amazon KDP is simply appalling! Most woeful customer service and a very fragmented offering.
I have been trying for 3 weeks to get them to sort an issue-despite being based in UK, if I order copies I cannot purchase them in the UK. I can only get them from US which takes too long and hikes up shipping costs. My agent in Australia tells me the book is “out of stock” in Australia!!
Worst decision I ever made to go on this platform. Never again

Basically a legal scam. And their support team is excruciating.
(Find an even worse update below the first part).
Their support team is excruciating, it's nothing but automated emails which can't read replies. If a random issue comes up, good luck talking to anyone, let alone making any sense. They'll get your account suspended and royalties held because they are incompetent bots.
Whenever possible, move to Lulu. KDP deserves nothing but the same disrespect it gives publishers.
I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on Amazon, and my perception of them changed entirely. I will move any service I have with them onto other companies and will buy on Walmart and others, because of how horrible my experience with KDP has been.
****UPDATE, two months later: KDP terminated my account and they REFUSE to elaborate on my violation. They said it was for trademark use, while I was careful not to use any. They provide the same copy/paste reply, over and over. If I did use any TM, would it be so hard to point out at which/where? But as their bots did it, they are unable to justify it. While, there are plenty of live books which ACTUALLY use TM: I sent them a list, and they completely ignored it. But they closed my account, are keeping my hard earned royalties and are charging me for ads.
Save yourself time (and money). This is an elaborate legal scam.

Servizio veramente pessimo
