Their website is constantly glitching and not working, mostly the royalties tab. It’s been N/A for several months now. Despite my numerous calls and emails about it, nothing happens. They try to blame you, your internet, your laptop and your phone for the issue but it’s 100% them. And yes, I’ve tried using both my laptop and phone, cleared my cookies, browsing history, literally everything and the royalties tab still doesn’t work.

KDP changed eight months ago, and independent authors should run. It's a garbage platform, just like their tablets and other devices. A major class action lawsuit needs to be brought against Amazon as they have mistreated tens of thousands of authors as they control 90% of the digital publishing market in conjunction with indirectly owning the other 10% who are aggregating for them but aren't actually publishing books. This is a monopoly, and it needs to be broken up with immediacy. Please message the Federal Trade Commission as you can file a complaint on their website in conjunction with emailing your representatives in Congress. The future is decentralize publishing. Amazon is a monopoly; don't waste your time! I had published with Amazon for 15 years, and I ended my relationship with them today. They don't have any competition, but as we all apply pressure, change will come as the entire company is operating illegally and in infringement of national antitrust laws.

Poor response rate by the team. Really took days to repsonse my queries. Need to work better.

Cela fait 20 jours que je me bats entre KDP et amazon, pour mon 1er livre sous les 3 formats. Je dépense plus d'énergie à faire cela qu'à écrire mon manuscrit. Cela me fatigue, pas de notifications avec des vraies explication, pour vous guider réellement. Mes livres sont souvent indisponibles sur la page d'amazone, et dans ma bibliothèque kdp ils sont pourtant en ligne... J'ai beau tenter de contacter KDP via leur service clients facebook ou insta, mais 0 réponse en 4 semaines... j'ai enfin réussi a avoir un mail jeudi, ouf... Mais juste pour me donner une réponse générique, et que si cette situation ne s'arrange pas de revenir vers eux.... une belle blague... Etant auto éditeur, il n'y a aucun accompagnement pour nous, aucun soutien, mais les 60 % de redevance c'est un mirage.... oui ils méritent de gagner de l'argent et nous un peu moins que la promesse initiale, car ils gèrent: - l'impression et - l'envoie, mais Les vrais gagnant c'est KDP et amazon, et je répète, en plus ils n'aident pas du tout les auto éditeurs. Aucune humanité, aucun soutien, limite des robots... c'est dommage que j'ai utilisé leur code ISBN sinon j'irai voir ailleurs. Pour mes 3 autres manuscrits, qui sont meilleurs à mes yeux, je vais voir si je trouve mieux. Faite donc comme moi fuyez si vous le pouvez encore!!!!! Tout comme dans le désert, pour les auto éditeurs, cet oasis KDP se transformera en véritable cauchemar.....

Isn't a trustworthy service. I had to go publish with their competitors. They send me some awful printed copies. The images weren't even readable. My book is going to get full of bad reviews if customer received such a bad quality of printing. Run away from them. I didn't renew my Prime Membership after this. Amazon shouldn't allow this low quality.

Amazon KDP is a good portal for new writers. It's a pity the customer service is so low quality. Miles away from Amazon ecommerce customer service. With one book i had to file 12-13 complains (1.5 months extra time to publish) because it was systematically rejected. Actually it was correctly designed, it was my second book. Now I am dealing with another complaint I filed for my seventh book, but instead of fixing my complain they delisted it (as punishment?) with false arguments (again the book was within their guidelines). No need to make me waste so much time, just because customer service just act as robots. I would rather be selling books and making money for me and for them.

Just received the first copy of my book..Parenting Guidelines. After being told that proof-reading of my manuscript would be part of my publishing investment, I found that my proof -reading process was not implemented. Not only will this be a negative on my professionalism but the lack of professionalism will be heavy on Amazon KDP. Spoke to an Amazon representative who told me that proof reading was not part of the deal..After agreeing to book size of 6x9 cover. the book is actually 8.5x11 in. Such as agitating matter with Amazon kdp. Can I possibly get some assistance in correcting my publication???..AWAITING YOUR REPLY...Johnny Medrano..

Although they make it easy to self publish, they completely stifle creativity and design with having too many rules for what's allowed and not allowed as far as fonts, titles, and typeset design. I was told my design (which was an integral part of my story) was not approved by their review team - all it was was a matrix of numbers on the first page. I had to publish a version that was totally not the vision just because they didnt approve in the final hour.
